That’s an amazing piece of architecture. It’s also so sad that it had been vandalized. Now it’s lost to everyone but with your video we can at least see this piece of history. Thanks for sharing.
You know Ken, if it wasn't for people like you, people like me would never get to experience such extraordinary and amazing places. Thank you for investing your time and effort to take me there. Truly the loss of something remarkable.
What a real shame, such beauty lost for ever, I did watch your first posting but found myself watching this one to the end just to take that last look again. Thanks for sharing and thank god you did manage to visit the place so we could all share it with you before it was gone forever.
@@kanatapaw I mean, if it had been built to code in the first place it wouldn't have been closed and left to rot. Can you imagine if a fire had started while there was a busload of tourists wandering around in there?
I have goose bumps all over my body I can't Believe it's gone . Next year would have been 30 years , man this is just so sad . I was hoping to visit one day and see if the owner would let us have a peek . But even from afar it would have been amazing to see . Growing up me and a friend built one it was in the middle of 3 trees and was taller then two houses on top of each other . Took us 3 summers to build and we enjoyed it right up until I had to move .
that sucks! I was planning on going there soon cause my dad lives out that way. Now I'll never get to see it in real life. That being said, I was talking to my dad about it and he said that the property changed ownership about a year ago. Now this is just my dads personal opinion but he thinks that it was burnt down on purpose cause the property itself is worth about 1.5 million and the new owner (or some other third party) may have burnt it down on purpose cause no one would insure the property as long as that structure was there. Again, this is all conjecture and none of this has been substantiated, but it does make me wonder.
If the owner burned it down and didn't attempt anything fraudulent (like filing an insurance claim on it), and it didn't damage anyone else's property, then I don't think that would even be a crime. Just a fast (and probably safer) method of demolition.
This place was a bucket list item for me. Was very sad (about 30mins ago) to learn that it burned down. Came across this video next. Thanks for the tour. I guess I can kinda take it off my list now.
Nice video man your not like any other youtubers who dont show theses kind of thing bit this video and seeing this tree house is just amazing!! Thanks for showing I'm very appreciative about this video that u made I always wanted to see what's happening around the world :)
That was incredible. I do have to say, though, that there is no way I could have climbed that. I was having palpitations before you got as high as the sanctuary, and each time you showed walking on one of the outer walkways, I thought I was going to have the big one.
Wow that's truly amazing Ken. It's reminds me on one of those dreams I have where I'm trying to find the exit out of a building but never do. It's so sad it burned down. Thanks for posting this Ken.
That is a Real Bummer. I have known about the place for years. Saw it on Travel Channel and Treehouse Masters. And then your coverage. Another Beautiful place that is gong and will never be replaced 🙁. Your videos are Awesome as always Ken. I look forward to them every week ✌
That tree house was basically sitting fuel waiting for it to happen. You can see the wood was so dry and all it would take is for someone to flick a cigarette butt. I am sure big brother is happy it's gone, sad day for the people who love to visit it though. Luckily ken captured it's memories so it can live on in tree house heaven!.
I remember that treehouse. May be you heard about old TV show "Treehouse Masters", so one of episodes was about treehouses around the world and this one was the most amazing treehouse I've ever seen...
Hi Ken I would have never have known this place if it wasn't for your video when I saw it on the news last night I was saddened to hear that it burned down and the first thing I thought of was your video I was sad to hear that it burned down and I hope you keep documenting the way you've been doing for so many years thank you
Not as heartbreaking as if the fire had happened while tourists were wandering around inside. Mainly it's heartbreaking that it wasn't built to code in the first place. Then it could have stayed open, probably would have been properly maintained, and might have even had a sprinkler system.
Ken, as I was about to finish this video my wife started watching Tree house Masters and in the into video I happened to notice this building. Wonder if the same guys built it.. Love the drone videos 😁👍
@@KenHeron Ahhh... not sure if I should give that a thumbs up for giving me the information👍 or thumbs down because it sounds disgusting👎. I can't give you a thumbs down... I like you and your show too much. 👍👍
We went to this place as well. And probably have the last footage ever taken of the place from our June trip. Such a cool and interesting place, sad that it is now gone.
Sucks for sure, I've lived in Crossville my whole life and my son goes to school at Stone Memorial high school which is next door. Sad day for a lot of people. Lots of cool places to fly around here!
I seen this tree house on treehouse masters a few months ago it was truly amazing what a shame all those years of love and labor and gone in a blink of an eye.
Uneven floors and fall hazards. No building-wide load distribution planning. Estimated to have taken 15 minutes to burn down. Can you imagine if a fire had started while one of the bus-loads of tourists was wandering around inside of it?
Hi Ken. That’s an amazing place and such a shame it’s gone. If it was a stupid act of vandalism, I hope the person(s) responsible get their cumupance. Thanks for sharing. Take care and catch you later. Peter.
@@KenHeron That's horrible that that happened.. Good job with the video excellent work!!! Don't know why I ended up being here- but I love how you were so happy on that swing. Thanks for this wonderful tour!
Thanks for watching.

That place was amazing. It's sad, but I'm sure they're now very glad that you documented it so effectively. Great tribute, Ken.
Thanks Bob.
Noooo! Honestly Ken that video is one of my favorite vids of yours. I hope it was an accident and not malicious
it was no accident.
I'm sure if no one found that place then it would still be there.

It still lives on Ken....You captured it in all it's glory...Now it is digitally the biggest treehouse in the world...Thanks to you......
I'm honored to be one of the few people that captured it from the air in 4K glory.
At some point it becomes less of a tree house and more of a house super impressed by the build and saddened by the following events.
Someone has spent a lot of time building that place,it is a work of art.

Considering one of the reasons it was closed by the fire marshal was due to fall hazards, that sounds like a properly-functioning survival instinct.
'Find the Bell' Really great Video Ken, thanks for sharing , such a shame it was destroyed.
