Rising Card effects are CLASSIC, of course. Yet, UNTIL NOW, I've never felt there was a practical way of presenting it. I mean like a story, good patter, etc.. I haven't been getting updates Tom, but I can find your videos easily enough. This is a special trick, I like the setup and the way you can manipulate the cards out of the pack, sheer brilliance.

I once bought a gimmick deck from a local magic shop where the similar thing happens but you place the deck in a glass or cup and the selected card starts to rise up. This one was done by hollowing out the middle of several cards on one semi stuck half of the deck and putting a string with a counter weight on it that had a little adhesive on it . When you flip the deck upside down the wire would move up slowly revealing the card. Anyways do you happen to know the name of that trick or how to replicate it? It was a childhood truck I bought and it’s long gone now

I just found this video. Thanks for a great tutorial. However Bicycle cards are now so badly printed that the centre dots don't line up anywhere near.

I've done this trick in the past by inserting all 4 cards into the deck, with the 4th card coming out of the back.
