wow, sick patches this is a gem of a synth.. i once bought two. i still keep one. i shall cop these patches awesome work thanks
Great demo. This is how synth demos should be. I hate demos w/5 minutes of "bla bal bla" followed by 1 minute of demonstrating only a few sounds. (usually piano, EP & organ patches) I like demos that get to the point & showcase a variety of many sounds. I like to buy vintage synths & my purchasing decisions are often influenced by TH-cam demos. (when I can find good ones) This demo has helped convince me to purchase a TG33 or SY22.
thank you gjc82071!
+gjc82071 I´m totally agree. The best way to show an instrument, whatever, is playing it and no talking and talking to finally tell anything. The best demos are those that from the beginning to the ending are showing what the instrument is capable of. There are very good demos from this synth (one of them from "Analogaudio").
KurtFuller AnalogAudio1 always makes great demos. The SY22/TG33 is a cool little synth. I've heard that the stock/factory presets are terrible, but with editing (or buying presets like the ones in this video) the SY22/TG33 can make some interesting sounds.
190€ is a fair price for a SY22. I hope you enjoy it. :-)
BTW, do you have any other synths, & if so, which ones?
Totally under rated. I've used the SY35 which had nice strings.
I hear so many movie sound tracks with this thing!
Excellent demo! I've been debating the purchase of a TG33. Your demo has convinced me. Thanks.
great internal reverb sound!
Thanks for playing so many different sounds. :D
LIKED - although each voice appears to have been played with the same-old-same-old tune in many cases, this does still showcase the seemingly unique abilities of the 33, which appear to set it very much apart from the 55 and even the 77, as far as I know; agree with 'gjc82071', in that this is how a synth demo should go, (ie, no Yamaha yammer [har-har?]!), and I am also inclined to get one of these for studio use myself after hearing this one demo - I can also see how it would have been impractical to form-factor this into a 19" module, as the vector control joystick would have been lost...
Hi and thnx for your comment. There is additional original TG-33 rack ears but it's hard to find it ):

Some of these patches sound great as they are. A few need to be warmed up or made funkier, and sometimes I wonder what something like an external analog filterbank/filter envelope could do for a synth like this. Sherman, Waldorf, Elektron, etc...

I was stupid forgot the login password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Jeremy Crosby Instablaster =)
@Darian Mohammad thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Darian Mohammad It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
I used the TG33 for 20years. I now have the SY35 for nostalgia.
FYI and listening pleasure: Here are some tracks I made on the TG33 if one wants to hear it in a multitimbral/demo context.
All sounds are from TG33 with no outboard effects.

2:20 onwards Wolfgang seems to find preset-sounds I do not have in my TG33, but those may be from card or internal user sounds from previous user. But this just makes the point for this synth - It's a underrated, programmers synth, with interesting sound sculpting possibilities even in todays world of NI Massives and similar. Just hunt down that old PC editor (or similar) and you're good to go!
These are user presets - so he created them himself as the 'user' is what I understood it as :)
Sounds warm!

Love these presets. Do you think the TG-33s lower-fi, 12-bit sounds would be as good or better on a 16-bit SY35?
Great presets!

Can you save presets like the sy22?
of course, I can do that on TG33
@@wolfgangSvukan nice! I have another question
I was looking at the tx7 which is basically the dx7... it’s the same but u need to use the computer to edit the sounds on the tx7. Do u need the computer to edit the sounds on the tg33?
@@buibuibuiestudio5561 no
Second the comment below! If it doesn't have a backlight I'll have to add one :)
Hi! Can aynone tell me the name of the sound on 5:06 ? How it is created?
It’s 2 tones or more but it has no dry signal (which u can easily do with the effects)
I have the sy22 , it’s not a hard tone to recreate
