To everyone else who may be going to Japan in the future: please don't visit owl café's, the owls there get their wings broken and will never be able to fly again, those animals are definitely not to keep at these kind of places thats just not okay. Go visit cat and dog café's, they don't give a fuck about lazing around all day and getting attention (ofc u need to walk with the dogs but I guess thats what they are doing) however those owls are just able to be on this single spot their entire lives and never be able to fly freely and thats kinda fucked up. I had the chance to go there as well and I love owls, but thats exactly the reason I did not visit the place. Not trying to be a good samaritan or anything, I think it's okay to kill animals if u wanna eat them but don't let them suffer their whole lives. thank you
