I'm like Izzy, I always pair the socks when hanging. I have an umbrella clothes dryer in my back yard, and when hanging the clothing I start in the inside lines with socks, undies, lightweight clothing, working out to the outer lines with the heavier clothing, towels etc. I also remove my items from the washer and place in the basket in the order they go on the line. ha. I know.. I'm a little over the top doing that.. ha

I think you could wear some kind of hat or bandana over your hair for two days until your scalp is without dye - not that it matters at all since many dye their hair. I never have as I don't like the mess. It's great they sell good home kits to save money and still have fun. Like the idea of you guessing how life will change living alone.

There are some brands that’s now that offer more planet friendly options. Lush sell henna hair dye bricks, Artic Fox and Manic Panic both have some okay options, and Garnier just released a new one which I think is called “Good”. If you’re looking for a more professional brand, Aveda is a little more pricey, but I think from memory they’re around 90% natural ingredients
