    Great vid, I only just came across this on TH-cam as it's exactly what I was planning on doing so many thanks that. Just had my titanium headers professionally polished which should compliment the set up. Cheers MotoUK

    i welded the "exup" valve to the Leo Vince and that gives me little sound when touring and low RPMs in town and opens up when twisting the throttle. To me it is best of both worlds, without having to play with a baffle when the occasion requires

    Great bike, great sound, great fun. I switched to the MT SP from a 2007 R1. More upright position and much more comfort, could ride all day without issue. I have the Acro can with a link pipe from SP engineering. I would say though, do a static sound test first and then eliminate that from the overall reading as it will be incorporating some of that background noise too. Great vlog, ride safe and take care.

    Baffle in sounds great, the mirrors are much better than I thought they would be. so helpful they can be turned in, that's a nice little TT course section of road for testing on, what do the big gates lead to ?

    Great comparison video (& decat videos) mate. I have a 2017 regular MT10 with a termignoni can. It sounds great with just that tbh, but I have a Leo Vince decat which I was in two minds about fitting tomorrow. I think LV decat, and termi can with baffle is probably the best set up for the sound, and not being obnoxiously loud!
    And for trackdays ofc 😁

    • @MOTOUK1

    Happy medium by adding a nice can, you know sure it's for looks, a bit of sound, a happy medium of tone, trackday legal, and not drawing too much attention to yourself

  • @impact0r
    @impact0r 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How would you compare this setup (with and without baffle) to your previous setup of LeoVince decat and stock muffler in terms of loudness and sound quality?

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Leo and stock can sounds more tinny to the Akra which is more deeper tone. The baffle makes it better for running through town not so booming and better on motorway tours where it’s not so loud. Btw I run a R1 akra, internals are 2inch where as the MT10 Akra is 1.5inch

    • @impact0r
      @impact0r 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MOTOUK1 Thanks. How much is the difference in this tinniness? Also, loudness-wise, how would you sort those three options, and how significant would be the difference?

  • @DutchMT10
    @DutchMT10 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, I am looking to go for the same setup. I've currently only got the Akra slipon on my MT-10. I wanna make sure I can fit a baffle into it before going with the decat because im pretty sure it's going to be too loud for riding in the city. Could you tell me which baffle kit you have and how you drilled the hole in the exhaust without removing the endcap?

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dutch, so the akra can I have is off a 2016 R1 so didn’t even have a baffle slot so I ordered a end cap and baffle kit and swapped the whole end of the exhaust. Wasn’t cheap £159 - if you have an MT10 akra then the have the slot for the baffle but yes no hole. I’ve seen a few guys just order the baffle from akra and drill hole carefully on an angle. So my whole end cap came pre drilled

    • @DutchMT10
      @DutchMT10 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MOTOUK1 Alright thanks for the reply. Drilling into the baffle slot without removing the endcap is going to be a hard one, but I guess thats the easiest way to go.

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you upload in 1080p to your tube it’s ok, I normally upload in 2.7k so when compressed to 1080p it’s a better image, so if you upload in 4K then when compressed again better image.

    • @FenTour
      @FenTour 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MOTOUK1 I cannot get any of your videos to work above 1080p, though some display 1080p60, maybe TH-cam does not allow a frame rate of 60 when at 4K? Not sure... ??

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What are you watching on? TH-cam will not show as 4K and show as 1080p as it reduces from 4K to 1080p when uploading to TH-cam. If I use 60fps then it will show up as 1080p 60 but when you upload 30fps as today’s video was it only shows 1080p, crazy TH-cam. If you view from a pc and adjust the settings on browser it can get to 4k

      Hey 👋 so just to let you know the akra does not include a baffle when purchased, you have to buy separately and there are two different diameters of hole so make sure you get the number from the akra pipe its stamped on back, I bought the baffle kit from Calsport in UK they hold genuine akra parts. It’s a nice set up not too noisy round town until you get past 5500rpm then its nice 👍
