To my nose, this is nothing like Polo Green nor Royal oud, either. This stands on it's own and is a love for me. I love this so much, I have purchased 2 x backup bottles. This is a real mans fragrance.

I like it.. definitely has the polo dna 🧬 but not the same. You got to mist this from a distance cause if you apply directly to skin in a concentrated spot it won’t play nice and you are stuck with a heavy concentrated oily bomb of (maybe what you said, pencil shavings)
Really appreciate the review. Before I went ahead and just bought the new Polo I was watching this one for a long time. I heard the same things and was honestly thinking it would kick ass especially with galbanum in the notes. Nice to get some more feedback.

Everyone’s sense of smell and associations with scents are individual, so I won’t criticize your take on this fragrance, but I got a whole different vibe from this one. To me, this smells pretty good, but it’s not a scent for everyone. To me it smells *similar* to CREED Royal Oud, which is a fragrance I’ve loved for years. It’s not a clone, and it’s only about 85% similar notes, but it emphasizes many of the defining notes of Creed Royal Oud - and at about 1/4 of the price. There is a sort of ashtray (you describe as pence shavings👍🏻) that comes through for a bit may be the combination of pepper, cedar, and lemon/bergamot… but that is what happens with that combination - there are several similar scents that do that… but as the citrus dries down the ashtray/pencil shavings smell becomes more of a spicy birch/cedar smell.
Anyway, I think people who like Royal Oud but don’t like paying $450 for it will be happy with this fragrance.
Very good review and channel. I heard this resembles Royal Oud and I been after that amazing scent and I came close many times, but I just refuse to pay the price they demand. Even at discount grey markets. I think Royal Oud is one of the best fragrances to ever my nostrils. I probably just should of got it, but been really looking into a good clone like one that is good. This looks to be one of interest...

Great review Kelan, some reviewers won't do negative reviews but I actually appreciate them. Definitely will not try this one but I don't really like Polo Green outside of nostalgia from wearing it as a teenager.

I finally got a sample of this. The opening is similar to Oud Wood. I don’t have Royal Oud, so maybe that may be what I’m smelling. Somewhere in the dry down I do get a hint of Polo, but It doesn’t stand out. Overall, this is a beautiful scent. After several wears, I ordered a full bottle. I wish the opening lasted longer, but I enjoy the transition. I guess this is another one in which we are not on the same page. LOL!

I was researching green fragrances, discovered your "10 Green Fragrances" video, which was awesome, then this video. I have no interest in His Highness Green after this great review, but you should consider sampling Afnan Supremacy Silver. I received a sample with a high end purchase (not of an Afnan product) from a reputable discounter and was quite surprised at the quality of the smell.. It's a well-known take on Creed Aventus and I had heard it hyped, but I did not expect it to be as good as it is. it doesn't smell harsh or cheap.It has performance issues but is reasonably priced at less than $35. I'd consider purchasing a full bottle if I was in the market for a Creed clone.

I've never tried that perfume before. Have you ever tried Lalique's Encre Noire? I have it and I enjoy it; it's one of the main perfumes that I use. I found it to have good performance and it can be inexpensive from Fragrancenet.com. Some people say that it has a strong pencil shavings scent to it or that it's too acrid, but I get, mostly, a smoky, vetiver, with some citrus scent. If you haven't tried it yet, it may be a good enough compensation for you concerning that Afnan perfume. I also enjoy Dolce and Gabbana's Intenso; do you like that one? Commenting from MD.

I love the Classic Match Polo Green dupe. It is so mossy and masculine with pretty good performance! Maybe it's nostalgia of my youth that has me allured to this little $8 gem. I think I've compared (1-2 yrs ago)the recent Polo Green formulation to the CM and it being oddly on par.

Try Arabyat Oud Al Layl, the most amazing under the radar green scent. Literally lasts more than 24 hours on my skin and its a green, mossy fragrance with a very slight touch of oud in the background.

I found Oud Al Layl on ebay for $35 bucks and in a year were I have gotten maybe 30 perfumes it has been the best value for money out of all of them by far. Clean, mossy, soapy, with just a hint of oud at the base. Amazing!

Kelan, fear not . I may have the solution to your Polo Green problem, very soon . A friend of mine at my workplace had it . I don't remember exactly what it was called, but he tried it on my skin, and to my nose . It was a more mellow version of Polo green . Not as harsh, but a similar scent . When i get my hands on it, i will let you know . An i don't think it's anywhere as expensive . Anyway, watch this space . I will get back to you .
I wouldn’t say I have a problem since I have plenty of polo green I was wondering if there were any legit clones or very similar scents aside from the classic match version, but I’d be very interested to hear about the one your co worker has so yes please keep me posted thank you !!

Afnan is largely a clone house but they do nice clones, this is not a clone of Polo Green at all, I use both Polo Green and the deodorant all the time (Polo green deodorant stick is the best on the market along with the Antaeus deodorant stick). This is a clone of Dior's Purple Oud , very peppery - Iso E Super- Norlimbanol scent. I personally don't like it all but they do end up smelling pleasant in the drydown ergo via very crude top and mid notes .

Yeah I get a little more green out of it. Polo Green was the thing that popped into my mind when I first sprayed it. I agree it's way overpriced. That's probably why I never pulled the trigger on it. I'm good with the carded sample I have. Great great video brother. Sorry you paid $75 for a box 😂😂

Haha, pencil shavings, LOL, great review Kelan!!! Actually, I often had the association with the smell of pencils with several colognes, and when I told my wife she looked like WTF?!? Haha, lucky to know I am not the only one! I have lost so much money on all that "high end niche" like Creed etc. and pseudo-niche sh*t like Armaf, Afnan etc. I stay away from it and only purchase proven quality from designer (CHANEL, Dior) and real handcrafted niche quality like Acqua di Parma in future. The smell is meh . It is on the animalic side and it is not potent... If does not project and longevity is poor. Very disappointing.
And like you said... All the money goes into the making of the box. It is beautiful . You would expect and amazing smell for the kind of presentation the box has... But I have to say it is disappointing.

I finally got the chance to test Highness Green, it actually smells like One Man Show from Bogart, but sharper. I agree, nothing to do with Polo Green.
I haven’t smelled highness green since this video but I can’t recall any one man show vibes personally, definitely not polo either lol but this one has its own scent I think and it’s just not very good lol

I think you got rather melodramatic with this review. Try calming down, speak slower and refine your thoughts. (You repeated your feelings over and over and never really added anything substantial to a real review other than “ pencil shavings” over and over.
