Congratulations Victor on your PB crappie, it was fun to be there watching it with you! sometimes it’s skill sometimes it’s luck sometimes it’s a numbers game, I think with you it’s all of them put together. Jim.
The Berkley scale said ‘H’ because that means Holy Crap That’s a Monster Ctappie. That fish filled your net!! So glad you got it on camera!! Congrats Victor!!
Yes for sure a great crappie and a very health one too. I have caught several in my local lake that size that only weighted 1.75 - 1.91. But that lake has very little bait fish, mostly BG. But still a wonderful day of fishing for you, congrats!
That’s a knockout size fish!! Very nice and thank you for releasing it unharmed. Always enjoy your videos. Now I’m looking forward to the next one. With the weather improving I’m sure the fishing will too. Fish on Victor…..Tim
Another great video Vic. And congrats on that slab crappie! Definitely a great fish, hands down. I think ill try a pk of keitechs and see how they do on crappie up here myself. Again great vid, amazing fish and keep em coming brother!
Victor, just a heads-up in regards to when you know a fish can safely swim off when reviving them. Just look at the pectoral fins, if they are "fluttering" for stabilization, they're all set. Also, I've Never caught a crappie that big in my life and i_fish for them quite a bit every year. What a fish!
good to know. I think i was looking for something similar intuitively. If they can stay vertical on their own, i see them as good, and i guess thats the only way to stay vertical : )
@@ifishcatfish Absolutely, the only way to be sure. Again, that was a monster crappie! I also loved how you dropped the mic by ending the video there, the perfect encore.
I know.. they are so pretty when they are fully flared.. I wish there was protection for all trophy fish in america... they are not a great eat anyway.. let them spawn and make babies..
You could have brought up a hidden box full of Hillary Clinton tapes and it wouldn’t be as exciting as catching that fish. The tapes wouldn’t get used anyway lol.
That crappie was a HORSE!! I can understand letting him go. However, it kills me when you release all the other fish....LOL. Great vid and glad I subscribed.
Oh my goodness what a CRAPPIE! That is the biggest crappie I have ever seen Victor, that was an absolute giant of a crappie. To top it all off, you caught it on a super duper ultralight rod and a 1.5 gram BG-1! Absolutely one of the best catches and commentaries of the year for me. Keep the great content coming and keep your jig wet my friend!
@@ifishcatfish just opened my package today, gotta be the best quality jig heads/ bobbers I’ve ever seen tbh. I’ve never had a Japanese one to use in person but I assume this is at par with the best of their products. I’ll share if I have luck with learning to snipe with these.
@@SETSO-4L Floats are one area where the Japanese don't have anything nice at all. They have some very weird stuff.. I shop from japan for decades and i've never seen a beautiful float out of there. We had nicer floats back in Bulgaria..
Doing my usual morning coffee and fishing videos for the weekend. I was blown away with the crappie that you and realistic fishing pulled out. I was gonna ask if you saw his then you pulled yours out of the water. Incredible catch Victor.
thanks buddy! Last year we both caught a big drum at the same time, and then a catfish at the same time. I think because we live in the same state the same fish get active at the same time!
Got my jigheads today, thanks Victor! Since i started UL fishing ive used mostly a TFO trout/panfish 6'6" single piece and a lot of trout magnets. The fast action has served my needs, but the more i cast the 5'6" Okuma Celilo i got my wife, the more i like the parabolic action and sensitivity. Cant justify it after a year of binging on new fishing gear, but I look forward to picking up a Presso series rod ASAP.
That was a tank! In the future you may want to wet the measuring board first, and if weighing it you may want to dip the fish in some water as well. But congrats, that was the biggest Crappie I have seen caught on video. Glad it was tough enough to swim back down. Good job.
well... i had two scales on the boat for years just for occasion like this and still one of them screwed me over... but i guess wetting the board is reasonable
What was the small swimbait you were using? I use a 2" Easy Shiner with #4 or #3 hook jigheads from Japan. Normally like the weight at 2.5g or even 3.5g where I can throw them far and fish them a bit deeper.
it was in the first 10 seconds of the video but its not gona help u as it was discontinued years ago and completely sold out. This is the 6'7 SUL. THere are solid tip versions that are still available but i don't recommend those

I would 💩 myself Catching a slab like that. Just imagine there is a hilly billy out there that would eat that soft meat. 😆. I had an awesome trip today catching some big 9" bluegill and a few crappie on the bg-1 hand tied jig, can't wait to pair it with my I-fish float! Thank you for all you do !!
now i like this one cos its lighter. Its hard to tell in this video because of the dam noise, but they both sound great now. But resistance is same, everything is same. Only weight is different. if u fish for larger fish i would get the larger reel for durability.
workin on it today, will release tomorroow. I didn't want to make too many tackleshop videos in a row because people who don't purchase get sick of them...
Just ordered a few of your float kits, both slip and fixed. Been waiting on them for a while eager to test them for panfish season. I rarley fish floats, but thats probably because everything in the stores is utter trash. Ive been needing to try some of your jigheads, as my gekkabijin stock is running low, and i think yours would look great being fly tied on. The comment you made in a previous video made me chuckle I think the slip bobber stops are absolutley outrageous there is a brand called sougayilanf that has a 100m spool of a cheap cheap multicolor 4x braid for 1.50$ on AE
yes. And even monofilament might be an option. Richard Gene has been sporting mono with his slip floats for some time now. I want to send him some floats but i have very low stocks now, probably will do on the next batch. I think he will like them. He likes small floats
@ifishcatfish I see, I never thought of mono, I thought it might be problematic going through guides compared to the softness of braid, but I'm sure it works, would be good on a rod like usdm presso that doesn't have the jdm micro guides.
What a stud crappie! H is for heavy😂 gotta ask what jigheads are you using for the keitechs? And i got my float kits today, hopefully using them tomorrow! Keep the videos coming!

yes.. maybe even more.. thats why i was getting nervous. I didn't want to end with a dead 3 lb crappie in the water... But he immediately recovered... obviously not as fragile as i thought
