I would like to bring your attention to an often missed detail with Luffy’s personality:
He’s an idiot, dude can never remember a person’s name however their personality or physical appearance is what he uses to reference them: Coward (Shirahoshi) -> Weakhoshi
In this case he was always referring to him as “Mingo” and it isn’t until this moment that he starts referring to him as Doflamingo. Until you make a significant impact on Luffy, he won’t bother remembering your name. If he DOES remember your name, better hope it’s because you are friends and not enemies.

Zoro getting absolutely yeeted at Pica is one of my all time favorite One Piece moments, it's too good 🤣

A detail about Zoro most had forgotten at this point in OP; in the beginning in the east blue, Zoro was shown to often chip or break his swords - Wado Ichimonji being the only exception. That is why Mihawk's question made sense in the flashback. It isn't just about Zoro's lack of haki, it's about overcoming the faults in his technique.
After beating Pica, Zoro smiles, not only because he can successfuly coat his swords in haki, but because he would never ever, have to worry again about chipping or breaking a sword he handles.
That isn't forgotten, that's the entire point of his smile, Zoro even says "no nicks on the blade".
You know Luffy is PISSED when he refers to a villain by their actual name
Not only did Zoro not put his bandana on until the fight was almost over, but he also barely even got injured. And we're talking about Zoro, the guy who knocks on death's door basically *every* arc. That's how little of a threat Pica is.
The other samurai with Kinemon makes me smile. 😂😂 He seems like a chill dude.

Yeah bro is insane for no reason, that punch is like Big Mom and Kaido’s team up attack…done solo. The fact that he’s a side character who needs an hour warm up balances things out, so honestly it’s pretty fun to have a character like him

I don't know where you're getting this idea from, but even in this episode, Kyros references the limitations to her ability and tells her to save her strength, which she doesn't correct. That strongly implies that the information we've been given is reliable.
@@JoshTheValiantAlmost every power has limits. For some reason Doflamingo’s string fruit is limitless, but most powers exhaust the user, even if they don’t take lifespan. And we do see later that mansherry has limits to her power.

If they remake One Piece as a whole the arcs after the timeskip will be elevated so much. Dressrosa could be like 30 episodes of peak moments. And I think you could streamline some fights so that it is more continuous at some points, because even the manga makes a lot of cuts because there are so many fights which go into one another and it would be hard to write it week by week and not make it so that every fight progresses evenly

It's actually sadder when Luffy has the observation haki where he can detect someone's feelings like what Coby did at the Marineford and also Queen Otohime, which is also why Luffy doesn't really care about any of his crew backstories but just their current feelings. so Luffy actually felt all the hurt Bellamy's feeling and the admiration Bellamy has for him.
This isn't Zoro's strongest move, this is Orlumbus' strongest move
I always wonder what I’ve happened if Pica was hit by the king punch alone. It was enough to blast the stone apart. I’m sure Pica wouldn’t have lost to just that, but I wonder how much damage it would’ve done

One advice : You can also fast forward a few bits here and there in terms of pacing.. because yes, the anime pacing is indeed a bit slow at times. It's not bad. But sometimes it gets annoying! Also while the manga pacing is better, the anime sometimes adds additional details to a specific scene which really heightens up the impact of a situation. So it's both good and bad tbh!
As for manga, I'd advise you to read once you are caught on with the series. The manga is approx 1.5 years ahead of the anime at the moment. So best if you save it for the last!!

Yeah fishman Island is where the anime started catching up to the manga so past that it gets into some pretty egregious pacing issues but like it starts to even itself out around here there's still quite a bit of reaction shots going forward but like once you get into the two most recent arcs it improves even more
KING PUNCH is actually on e of the strongest attack in the one piece world, and king elisabelo actually got CONQUEROR'S HAKI !! yep! hes got it .. if you watch the moment he did the KING PUNCH, the impact summoned RED LIGHTNING, which i think is a sign of a conqueror's haki ..
