Atem belongs to a whole different century and she belongs to the modern world , that's why Tea grew later to have feelings for Yugi instead . As for Atem , if there's a girl he can end up with , logically it should be his childhood best friend Mana AKA Dark Magician Girl .

Ofc Atem cared about her a lot and we can see that through the entire manga and anime. She never confirmed in terms of "I love you/him", but that doesn't always have to be the case especially in genre that isn't romance. The chapter title even says "let's find love" and she's holding Yami not Yugi and those quotes CLEARLY indicate she had feelings/was in love with Yami. Also, in the final duel, she said "I want Atem to be by my side forever. I don't want to be separated." And I want to clear something... I'm not saying she had no feelings at all for Yugi because later on she started growing feelings, but I'm saying that for the majority of the manga her feelings for Yami seemed to have been stronger.

@@shimmeerr if I remember correctly from the manga (which I've read years ago so I don't remember everything) Mana didn't have as much screentime as in the anime and in the manga in the Millennium World arc she appeared later on in chapter 17 crying for Mahad. And the part were Mana jumped on Atem was filler for all I remember. There were actually 2-3 interections of them and when it came to Mana it was more about her bond with Mahad. And it's not like she didn't have the guts, but what was she supposed to do? Atem was a 3000 years old spirit of an ancient Pharaoh who would most likely get to leave/rest in peace (like he later did). It's not like she could walk on him any time confessing.
