I'm late to this but seeing Eric's behavior while playing the game alone vs when he was with the rest of the guys is fascinating. Like having Rick, Calvin, and Aaron there is always great but when Eric is on his own, he seems more calmer and pays more attention to the smaller things. He's also like this with the group but it's more emphasized here

I feel like Eric was only looking at like 30% of the screen most of the time.
That is why it is really hard for me to watch streamers play games. They always miss so much or make really dumb mistakes and I just want to yell at them through my screen to go back.
@@KurNorock It's easy to be on the viewer side and see that. Streaming requires half attention to chat so you just naturally miss stuff.
@@2sallads I can literally see when his eyes move over to chat and when his full attention is on the game. He misses stuff even when looking directly at it.

It often makes me wonder about streamer setups. They seem normal enough but there are weird blind spots in a lot of them. Marz has a particular blind spot that I noticed while watching her Red Dead playthrough and I found it kinda funny.
This on grandmaster was just the toughest week I’ve ever gone through on a game 😂
Just finished my Grandmaster run. Dathomir was fucking brutal. Not enjoying going back there tryna 100% after I finished the game, the dead nightsisters and punchy bois have killed me so many times.
I played thru on gm and the only really tuff parts for me were in the arena and the dude with 2 lightsabers and the last fight with trilla. And basically any tume i had to fight one of the damn spiders.
@@droyal18able the last fight with trilla wasn't too bad for me once I got the rhythm of jumping over her ground slams. I definitely struggled with Gorgara though. I was *pretty good* at not taking hits, he just drains your health so damn fast with even a single hit. Malicos and any of giant spiders were truly awful. I'm just glad they didn't include any Krykna lmao

Advice. Treat it like a strategic fighter like dark souls. Study enemies fight paths and fight motions. It's always best to strike enemies from behind. Always be sure to lock on to your target and get as good as you can at parrying. Use the roll, to not only evade but to get behind the enemy. Also, Use the force on Enemies.

@@felicitasjuarez I was struggling at first, got really into it. And on the hard difficulty, I found myself trying to evade as much as possible and parrying becomes essential. Good luck Jedi Knight! Can't wait for Jedi Survivor!
moving past the "its a hard game" I think all of blindwave could really enjoy the hidden narrative of the souls games, truly an amazing world of lore to fall in love with
Personally I really don't get why everyone loves it so much, the difficulty isn't the issue for me. I just cannot stand it for some reason.
@@sniffyjoe4229 understandable m8, if you have not listened to any of the lore videos for it I would recommend it just to try it out but I still understand!
Each of them playing on their own? Maybe. Playing as a group I feel would devolve into backseat gaming and yelling over each other to much to pay attention to any of that.
@@snikerz5886 I think the best way to experience dark souls is alone in the dark with no guide or searching to help you through it, really makes you appreciate the world design when you start familiarizing yourself with the layout

^^Thats essentially what your point reads to me as when you just say "game bad" in a variety of ways with no depth. If we measured your shallowness I could stand in your take and my toenails would be dry. the only point I really need to address is the fact that you say their graphics are shit but even if they are, art direction is 100% more important than graphics. this is literally seen case-in-point with Elden ring, using the SAME art direction since demon souls. But I have a feeling if you cant comprehend that, trying to explain lvl design to you would be the equivalent of recesitating a fish: pointless and leaves one with a bad taste in the mouth

man they must have missed a lot of stuff in #1. By the time I left the first world I had like 4 or 5 skill points and had a reserve of 4 healing stims.

I completed the game on every difficulty and went up to a harder one. I actually did best with trills on grandmaster and worst on Jedi master.
I hate it so much when people in chat are like "play it on hard". I think Eric would of enjoyed this much more without the challenge. It would also be a lot better for the viewer as well
I mean, he suck in easy mode, hard mode would be impossible to watch
I know this video is a year or 2 years old already, but I am annoyed that Eric literally just goes to a straight path, never explores nor looks around for crates/stim crates which is what triggers me. XD

I really wish that they did what was in The Force Unleashed where if you press the up arrow, or at least on Xbox the up arrow, it will show you where to go.
You can just, you know, look at the map which shows you where to go.

I wanna ask…is the slides being difficult a console thing?? I played on pc and all the parkour/slides/ropes were really easy and really fun for me. Don’t know if that’s just a pc vs controller thing tho
I am playing on pc with a controller and I would say no they aren't really difficult, an be a little tricky if you don't play a lot. Pretty sure the blind wave crew don't play much when they aren't streaming so it would explain how they sometimes seem to not understand certain gameplay elements that most gamers would.

@@liamkampff1 yeah, I'd rather her show up then Cal. If Cal shows up it will kinda remove the story mystery for the next games coz then we'll know that he survives. I'd rather play the games not knowing Cal's fate just yet.

This is hard to watch. Button mashing does not work for fallen order. Have to fight strategically using blocks & parry. Its precision & thoughtful battle. Also Jedi Knight is the Regular Setting. Maybe switch to that instead of Jedi Master which is Hard Setting.
Correct. You have to play like a Jedi and not a Sith.
This is every streamer playing this game. The gameplay is so much more rewarding when you nail down the parry timing and work your way through enemies skilfully. Watching streamers not react to what's happening and just button mash is frustrating.

ugh.. he skipped an entire puzzle room in the Zeffo temple.. I'm dying inside. NOOO he's skipping soo much! I thought he was a Legend of Zelda veteran!? He is walking right by secret rooms and puzzles like they aren't even there! I don't think I can watch this travesty anymore.

You're playing too cautiously. Almost as if you're afraid to strike. That's why you keep getting hit. Blocking can't keep you from taking damage. If you don't attack, they will. If you don't keep up with your strikes, they're gonna murder you. And you're holding the parry button instead of waiting for the right moment and tap it.

One thing I hate about this game is that all enemy attacks take priority over yours. If you and an enemy attack each other at the same time, their attack will ALWAYS land while yours gets interrupted. The enemies can also interrupt your combos, but you can't interrupt theirs.
Also, unblockable attacks are really fucking stupid. Especially if you have a light saber.

@@KurNorock That's not a poor gameplay mechanic. It's a pretty standard one. It forces the player not to be too aggressive and punishes you for not paying attention to your enemy. If you're struggling with it, maybe you just need to exercise a little patience. It's not a game for carefree mayhem.
And making lightsabers capable of blocking and/or countering anything would break the balance. Gameplay comes first. Don't like it, don't play video games.

Just listen to yourself. "It forces the player to not be too aggressive." Why? Why is being aggressive not desirable? Shouldn't it depend on the situation rather than some arbitrary gameplay mechanic?
"Punishes you for not paying attention to your enemy." No, it punishes you for paying attention to the enemy. In a real fight if your opponent takes a big wide swing, you can react fast enough to hit them and not only damage them, but interrupt their attack. It takes timing and skill to pull it off. But in this game, if you pay attention and attempt to attack an enemy who is winding up some huge attack, even if you hit first, your hit doesn't count and their attack blows right through you. Not only that, the enemy can interrupt your attacks in the exact same way that you CAN'T interrupt theirs.
It has nothing to do with a lack of patience. The things I am talking about require patience and timing and skill to pull off. I am in no way trying to advocate for mindless button mashing if that's what you think.
Stop trying to defend bad mechanics. Because that is what this is. When an enemy can have both arms over his head and his weapon behind his head, winding up for an attack, and your character can hit them in their wide open torso WITH A LIGHT SABER before they attack, and the result of that exchange is the enemy knocking the character down and taking NO DAMAGE, then something is VERY wrong with how the game works.

Being aggressive doesn't (often) encourage strategy or caution. It discourages people from button mashing their way through fights instead of learning attack patterns and adapting to them. Being able to win by doing nothing but attacking isn't challenging.
The advantage the enemy has over you is part of the challenge. You have to learn to pick your moments, to counterattack and to take advantage of weaknesses or openings. Enemy attacks simply aren't among those openings, though for the record, I'm certain there are plenty of enemy attacks, even in boss fights, that can be interrupted with the right attack.
You're basically complaining that this gameplay system that requires patience, timing and skill to work with isn't the gameplay system that requires patience, timing and skill that you'd prefer, in which case, get over yourself.
It's not a bad mechanic. It's a good use of video game rules. You attack an enemy while they're lit up red with an unblockable attack and you take a hit, that's on you. There's nothing wrong with it except your refusal to accept these rules, which is also on you.
Dude... STOP. BUTTON. MASHING. That's the reason you keep dying at the easiest parts.

@@doop8436 Guys.. there's people who have to work all day and don't spend all their time on video games. Regular people are not that used to the game mechanics and don't have the muscle memory of young teenagers who do nothing all day but play games like this. He's doing perfectly fine. Stop bitching. You can finish the game without needing to find every box and getting every skill. Most players don't use all skills anyway.
