Carrowmore - Possible Alignment Investigation

This video is a detailed exploration of possible alignments at the Neolithic megalithic complex of Carrowmore, County Sligo, Ireland including orientations of site features and between sites indicating summer and winter solstice sunrises and sunsets as well as other divisions of the solar year.
Especially exciting are several alignments to maximum northern and southern moon rise/set positions during Major Lunar Standstills, as well as some to Minor Lunar Standstills and some stellar markers.
Major Lunar Standstill occurs every 18.6 years when the moon reaches a maximum monthly range of moonrise/moonset to the north and south well beyond the range of the sun at solstices. Through 2024 and 2025 the moon will swing back and forth between extreme northern and southern positions on the horizon with a limited number of ideal observation opportunities (see below).
