I know it has been tested a bunch. I don't know how many need it vs. "like to have". I think that is why they haven't spent much time on making one. They could make one.
It’s nice to finally see the modules included...hey maybe the price of dsmc2 modules might drop 🤣🤣 I’ll stay optimistic....mid vid Scotty thanks for beaming me up
mmm... is me or Upgrade sounds a bit too exp? or maybe just not worthy? like at all....and un fair for Helium owners compared to Dragon X for example? In any case NO, is not too expensive, let's be honest. Although other brands are pushing hard on price and features, let's see how long RED can keep it there, maybe that is why Komodo. Red is trying hard, even after all their polemic latest news, I think they are acting smart, and trying to stay in both, main stream and users level. I'm not a fan of all RED sides, but respect. The video was cool, I like. Thanks for your time.
Scott Balkum a lot more than a camera. The car gets thousands of people to work. A Red takes thousands...of dollars to work. 😅 But then again MKBHD made it work for him 🤷🏿♂️ but I think he got a car first 😆
I've found that every tier in photo/video sounds expensive until you get there... and then you wonder why you didn't jump ages ago. I felt that way with my first $500 8mm Sony Handicam, my first $3,000 full frame DSLR, with my first expensive tripod, and again right now as I'm saving for a RED. Don't get me wrong, I wish it was a bit less expensive but I've never regretted stepping up to the next level.
Jesse Watson that’s exactly right. A few years ago I thought €8k was so much money for entry-level cinema cameras like the FS7/C300. Yet here I am years later deciding if I want to save for a RED Gemini or if the new C500ii will be a better tool for my work. It’s all perspective. If your camera is your work, it’s an investment that will pay itself off in no time
I still have my Ranger Gemini. Still love it.
what diefference is ranger gemnini and dsmc 2 gemini camera please?
Great informative vid Scott. Cheers :D
Did an EF mount ever get released that works on ranger monstro? 🤔
Not really since the EF lens image circle is 35mm and VV is 40mm
Great video! Now time to figure out if I should upgrade my gemini!
You wanna upgrade your gemini to another bigger gemini😁😁😁???
Hey, man, what filter(s) are you using in this video? If you don't mind.
On these, no filters at all.
@@ScottBalkum Wow! Serious! I gotta have my little GH4 totally jacked up on filters to get something decent, lol!
It's a really good look for these vids!
Nice video my friend ...
Going to shoot with RED , while sailing
That will make some epic footage.
The problem I have is that some of our content acquisition is both real time video and 4K HLG out for broadcast. I really was hoping for that!
Niceeeeeeeeee 🎥🎥🎥🎥👌🏽👌🏽💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Great commentary! How are you positioning your lights? You did a great job, all of it's very subtle!
Going to do a lighting breakdown very soon. Had a lot of asks on that.
I have no complaints with my baby’s only thing I’d ask for is more FPS I’m talking phantom FPS on a RED🤯 great review.
Can't be done with this crop of sensors.
Scott Balkum that would be the nail in the coffin for allot of other camera companies but hay maybe one day.

Consider yourself beamed...
I'm a lover not a hater
Fair
🙏🏽🏆🎥
The problem I have is that we aren’t getting a 4K signal out! That’s one thing I want from RED! Actually, I want the Monstro with 4K out! Please RED!
what the heck is a LP mount ;)
You win. I misspelled PL, sigh. I suck at spelling.
I feel that I can say this here without problem..... RED is much better then Arri 😈😈😈
Now, now... Its always the right tool for the job. There are times when an Arri just makes more sense... Sometimes Panasonic. Sometimes Sony.
mmm... is me or Upgrade sounds a bit too exp? or maybe just not worthy? like at all....and un fair for Helium owners compared to Dragon X for example?

$20,000+ for any camera is too expensive 😩 you can get a small car, pay rent for a year, or get iphones for your entire family 😲
And how much money can you make with that car?
Scott Balkum a lot more than a camera. The car gets thousands of people to work. A Red takes thousands...of dollars to work. 😅
But then again MKBHD made it work for him 🤷🏿♂️ but I think he got a car first 😆
MKBHD didn't like a little thing like cost control his ability to make good content.

My G2 is better lol
If it works, it works.
