I fear Rockstar and his Red Dead Redemption Game is too strong in competition, if Ubisoft will ever make an AC game set in the Wild West. But of course it would be a really cool setting. I don't think it's going to be a game. There were Apples of Eden in paintings and photos in AC2 you had to find. The easter egg could just be referencing that the Vikings had one at some point. Maybe Leif Erikson. Maybe they'll make a book or comic about it. Maybe even a short film.

Even if Ragnar is just a myth, that shouldn't stop Ubisoft from putting him in a Viking AC if they so wish. Could easily explain it as the Templars controlling recorded history and wiping any evidence of his existence.

I remember hearing this before Valhalla was announced, and listening again, I appreciate it even more. While the official theme has a lot of nice "viking texture", it kind of just feels like a rearrangement on the theme. Whereas your track seems to bring a lot of it's own character - using familiar melodies to tell a different story. Well done.
This is one of the better ones I've heard, I'm not exactly sure what the specific Vibe I get from it is but it's certainly... Different from most (And better in my opinion). Most AC Valhalla unofficial Themes tend to lean into the Power Fantasy aspect of what AC Valhalla could have been, however I've always preferred the more Oppressive approach taken by themes like this and Colm Mcguiniss (I have no clue if I spelt that name right)'s Ratiljost. Assassin's Creed: Journey to Jotunheim The very first isu artifact ever discovered by mankind was Thor's Hammer, but in it's wake it left only destruction as men were too quick to succumb to it's power, to the promise of unbreakable strength, the Isu saw this and hid the artifact in one of the nine other plains of existence they have created, under the care of the Jotunheim Giants, where it had remained undisturbed for centuries. Now, the Templar are after it, building technology to transport us to another plain of existence we have yet to understand. To get to Jotunheim we must travel through the Tree that holds all nine worlds, and to get there we must first understand what the risks are, with the power of Atlantis and the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus I understood the risks, and so the only thing left to discover is where exactly in Jotunheim is Thor's Hammer, but with the Animus, that's nothing but a piece of cake. For a little preview on how an Assassins Creed game with Wild West setting could look like, I recommend to check out the musicvideo "Legacy Of Assassins - Most Wanted" by Surreal Sound Systems. It's like a mixture between RDR and AC but very well-produced with authentic props, epic scenery and awesome soundtracks. Definitely one of my few favorite fan-videos on TH-cam ^^
It just kind of makes sense when you think about it, I mean vikings and templars were around at the same time, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that they would fight each other.
You could easily say that other Christian organizations of the time were Templar fronts, possibly even validating the most famous raids of the Viking era: raiding monasteries!

Viking sounds pretty awesome, but personally I've always wished for an Assassin's Creed set in Ireland. Just think of the potential: a game set between 1913-1916 and 1918-1923, during the buildup and the actual Irish-Anglo War. Befriending Padraig Pearse, fighting along Michael Collins and Constance Markievicz. Enduring the Easter Rising of 1916. This was a war fought (on the Irish side) using mostly stealth, assassinations, ambushes, and intricate intelligence networks-it's a war that runs a stylistic course perfect for an Assassin's Creed game. You wouldn't even really need to go too heavily into the Templar end. Bonus if you do, of course. But going under the assumption that Irish assassins are likely to fall under a British Brotherhood and a lot of the general British populace were often ill-informed on the state of the Irish people (thanks especially to biased media), we could have the opportunity of clashing sentiments within that branch of the brotherhood itself (why are they doing this, the Irish are being ungrateful, they're doing just fine, these are just agitators stirring up trouble vs. yeah, no, we're poor, being treated as second-class citizens, and you guys won't even employ a majority of Catholics-the dominant religion-except -maybe- as soldiers, and even then; as well as the choice to support the rebellion, put it down, or don't do anything) and essentially just watch it all rip itself apart. (And also brief spoiler alert: Ireland has a very painful history of abuse from the ruling British (see Oliver Cromwell's raids of Ireland-dude massacred 20% of the population and then some-and the Great Famine for just a couple examples out of way too many) and was -not- in very good shape at that time, and there was a rising discontent only further exacerbated by multiple and prolonged denials of their legally voted-in parliament for some level of self-government and the first world war.) It'd be a fascinating study and serve as a light parallel to the clash between rising nationalism vs. the empire. ...Anyway! All my rambling wishes and storyboarding aside, this is an awesome remix. I look forward to seeing what other potential regional spins you might be able to take on these tracks. And hey, maybe even an Irish one someday...?

It's like a mixture between RDR and AC but very well-produced with authentic props, epic scenery and awesome soundtracks. Definitely one of my few favorite fan-videos on TH-cam ^^

It just kind of makes sense when you think about it, I mean vikings and templars were around at the same time, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that they would fight each other.
You could easily say that other Christian organizations of the time were Templar fronts, possibly even validating the most famous raids of the Viking era: raiding monasteries!

Viking sounds pretty awesome, but personally I've always wished for an Assassin's Creed set in Ireland. Just think of the potential: a game set between 1913-1916 and 1918-1923, during the buildup and the actual Irish-Anglo War. Befriending Padraig Pearse, fighting along Michael Collins and Constance Markievicz. Enduring the Easter Rising of 1916. This was a war fought (on the Irish side) using mostly stealth, assassinations, ambushes, and intricate intelligence networks-it's a war that runs a stylistic course perfect for an Assassin's Creed game. You wouldn't even really need to go too heavily into the Templar end. Bonus if you do, of course. But going under the assumption that Irish assassins are likely to fall under a British Brotherhood and a lot of the general British populace were often ill-informed on the state of the Irish people (thanks especially to biased media), we could have the opportunity of clashing sentiments within that branch of the brotherhood itself (why are they doing this, the Irish are being ungrateful, they're doing just fine, these are just agitators stirring up trouble vs. yeah, no, we're poor, being treated as second-class citizens, and you guys won't even employ a majority of Catholics-the dominant religion-except -maybe- as soldiers, and even then; as well as the choice to support the rebellion, put it down, or don't do anything) and essentially just watch it all rip itself apart. (And also brief spoiler alert: Ireland has a very painful history of abuse from the ruling British (see Oliver Cromwell's raids of Ireland-dude massacred 20% of the population and then some-and the Great Famine for just a couple examples out of way too many) and was -not- in very good shape at that time, and there was a rising discontent only further exacerbated by multiple and prolonged denials of their legally voted-in parliament for some level of self-government and the first world war.) It'd be a fascinating study and serve as a light parallel to the clash between rising nationalism vs. the empire.
...Anyway! All my rambling wishes and storyboarding aside, this is an awesome remix. I look forward to seeing what other potential regional spins you might be able to take on these tracks. And hey, maybe even an Irish one someday...?
