I've always been interested in understanding what God has in store for us. I grew up being taught dispensationalism, but as I studied scripture, some things just didn't make sense to me. So, I've been on a years-long pursuit to better understand what scripture actually means, rather than just understanding Darby's ideas about what he thinks scripture means. I've recently discovered Preterism, can't embrace full Preterism, but partial makes sense in some respects. I found a link to this video on a forum, and Dr. Beale has a lot of interesting things to say. TFS and I'll be looking at more of his sermons in the future!
Jesus is [reincarnated] Adam, who reverses his own disobedience. Don't mistake divine for all earthly authority that was given to Adam in Genesis. Jesus/Adam reverses our bodily mortality by his obedience and becoming a life-giving spirit through his resurrection. Examples of Adam (not divinity) Adam (male and female) was created in Genesis 1 (was the guardian cherub in the heavenly temple(, which means he/them pre-existed before the earthly restoration in Genesis 2. Adam existed before the Patriarchs Adam with his earthly authority can forgive sins, command the winds, perform miracles. (basically the god of this world) Adam is greater than the earthly temple since he has all authority on earth. Jesus as Adam, stops reincarnation (lake of fire), via resurrection, for all those that take his Name. Adam as first High Priest is higher than all other priests.
Excellent content, thank you very much.
Beale is a rare jewel in the velvet box of true theologians.
One of my favorite theologians with Tipton and Oliphint!
