We know from scripture itself that Sabbath is on the seventh day (Saturday). My biggest question growing up was 'did Jesus get rid of the Sabbath?'. I heard so many opposing viewpoints over the years but one night was listening to my audio Bible and it hit me. It's right there in Matthew. It says, "How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or ON THE SABBATH. For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again." - Matthew 24:19-21. Why would Matthew be mentioning an end times scenario occurring on the Sabbath if Jesus had done away with the Sabbath?. Short answer: he wouldn't. Sabbath still stands as it is a Commandment, and Jesus said to follow the Commandments.

and the men of Judah his pleasant plant:
and he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression;
for righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress."

In 31 AD, their were two sabbaths during crucifixion week. The day that followed or the very next day after Passover was the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a sabbath also, there was no work done on that day! The sabbath that drew on was the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a Holy Convocation! In 31 AD Passover was on a Wednesday.
That's why they call that day a "High Sabbath" so they didn't want to spoil that special feast day to crucify Jesus. Therefore I believe that it was done on Wednesday, they put him away ,had their feast then they had to clean up ready for the regular Sabbath and if you follow carefully, If Jesus says he would be in the hearth of the earth 3 days and 3 nights.! So If you all believe that if Jesus was crucified on Friday and raised early Sunday morning. Do you get three days and three nights.? Any normal man could do that but Jesus was in it for that 3days and 3 nights. Jesus' body was already embalmed by Mary who put that precious ointment on his body not realizing that was Gods plan. So if you check from Wednesday evening to Sabbath evening you get exactly 3 days and 3 nights .When Mary and her friends went to buy spice to put on his body for early Sunday morning they were late! We should not follow the world believing this lie as most of us who should know better are saying any part of a day is reckoned as a day. A day is 12 hrs and night has 12 hrs. The devil want to deceive the world but we should be on our guard.😮
@@delriatrenfield993I counted a few hours of day light as one day. It doesnt need to be an exact 12 hours of daylight to make it as a day.

Here's some items to consider
Something fascinating about the new covenant … Hebrews 8:10 “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” God wants to write His law on our hearts.
We are saved by grace. No one has ever been saved by their works. God has only and always had one way to save mankind "the everlasting gospel" Do we still have sin in the world today? How does the Bible define sin? It says sin is lawlessness, breaking God's law. 1 John 3:4 It's clear from the Bible, Matthew 1:21 that Jesus came to save us from sin and he intends to, with our cooperation remove sin from our lives. He intends to give us victory over every sin that besets us. He will not leave us in the same mess He found us in. It's unbiblical to think God saves us and then leaves us to stay in bondage to sin. So if I know that stealing is a sin and I refuse to stop where does that leave me? In rebellion. Rev. 3:5 is clear, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life…" A true saving relationship with Christ leads to a life of obedience to His commands and that includes His Ten Commandments. This is evidence of walking with Christ, not something we do to earn salvation. The Sabbath is a gift of resting in Christ, and the Bible gives us abundant evidence to pinpoint that day. The Scripture is also clear, there is another power that has attempted to change that day of rest and it will lead to a final choice for mankind in the end. Worship God according to His Commandments or Worship the beast on the day he has chosen.
The apostles never promoted Sunday worship and Jesus never instituted a new day of worship. Jesus taught that both He and His Father have worked on every Sabbath day. John 5:16-17. The Old Testament itself taught that the Sabbath would come to an end and that Christ would enter His Rest on they day of his resurrection from the day of which we also do when we are baptized.

@@NowayJose-d3b first of all, not everyone is online all day. So, it’s possible she hasn’t even seen your question. Secondly, if you read farther on, that verse isn’t talking about the Sabbath coming to an end. Read Isaiah 66:23. You can see in that verse that the Sabbath will be still there.
Sabbath is for gentiles too. IS 56:6 and ACTS 13:44

If the whole chapter is read in context and not cherry- picked...you will find that nobody should judge you for KEEPING SABBATH, as it was a shadow of Christ. Christ is REALITY! It was "Man- Made" rules, decrees, laws, that were to be done away with! Colossians never said Sabbath was man made. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath! Roman Emperor Constantine was judging Christians for keeping the 7th day Sabbath! Constantine wanted sun worshippers, so he created the edict of Sunday worship, to " the venerable day of the Sun god". Col. tells us that nobody should judge us for keeping Sabbath. Sabbath was created before humans. It was made for humans. It wasn't a man made edict, like Sunday worship was!
