I’ve kept coming back and listening to this beautiful song all day. Karan Casey and James Taylor are two of the best and they compliment each other perfectly....
Different time, different country, but as an American veteran of the Vietnam War, this song speaks to me of the futility of war and reduced me to tears. Sometimes war is unavoidable and justified, but in many cases it is just a waste of lives and Vietnam was one of them unfortunately.
Beautiful! Karan and JT make a great pair with wonderful instrumentalists. I keep telling my friends about the Transatlantic sessions. Spectacular stuff.
total focus between masters of there art! coming together with a beautiful tune, and exquisite vocals. cant find any tune that moves me more than this!.
Karan Casey is one of the purest Irish female voices, and I can witness that there are plenty of them : most of them used to take part to the Transatlantic Sessions !...
Dans toute chanson émouvante sommeillent des souvenirs de balade Irlandaise . James l’a bien compris et complète ce groupe de rêve aux ressemblances de Union Station . Marc
beautiful song....for all you guys that love this....listen to Frank Harte and Donal Lunny version....the whole CD is a work of art....called..."My Name is Napoleon Bonaparte"
Brilliant version of a song which was written by a friend of mine who lives at Dunnet Head now, having previously lived in Thurso as a member of a well established traditional folk group called 'Mirk'! His name is Ian Sinclair and he never seems to get adequate recognition when other artistes sing his songs and believe me this is not his only song!

Well spoken

Even if it does seem futile my friend I do appreciate your service and your willingness to sacrifice for this great country
