I was a loyal user of passport wallets, until I was in Southeast Asia one time, and a thief easily took majority of the cash I was carrying, several public transport cards AND my passport. I now store passport separately from everything else.
Totally agree. No need to store all my stuff with my passport. I do sometimes use a passport wallet but then it contains my airport stuff like miles card and airport specific cards. Maybe a backup payment card. Once out of airport you rarely need your passport but constantly need cards and cash. Meaning that thieves clearly know where these are at. Most thieves don't focus on getting your passport so prefer to keep these separate.
I do wish that this information was available 20 years ago when I lived in Malaysia for 3 years and travelled to the US on a regular basis. Now that I am retired and my globe trotting days are behind me I still greatly enjoy what Maurice brings to all who take in the videos. So very well thought out and presented.
Absolutely love the content. While your video subject matter doesn't always pertain to me it is always thought-provoking. I recently purchased the Alpaka Bravo Max sling and it has become my daily carry bag. Larger than a fanny pack gets smaller than my messenger bag it fits my needs perfectly
Maurice, I love your professionalism! The infobox is flawless with useful timestamps, links and additional info. Your camera skills and editing are top notch and I like the way you recommend things without being pushy or too forward. Thanks!
I got the bellroy travel wallet because of one of your older videos. I've used it for two international trips at multiple locations and it has been amazing.
I enjoyed the Bellroy Note sleeve when I was living in Europe but opted to move back to a Saddleback Leather card wallet once we moved back to the States. I tried to use the Bellroy again but a had a few instances where my cards fell out because the card slots got stretched out too much.
I love this serie of videos from your channel! I began to be more thoughtful about my EDC in general. Of course I can't afford one like yours but it's a good guide for cheaper options.
Thanks for this video - it helped me minimize the number of things I needed to take with me on my recent trip to Taiwan. The Anker GanPrime charger was a great solution - I strongly reco people bring along the support sleeve/gasket that comes with it. I found the weight of the device made it want to slip out of outlets easily - especially on the flight.
The keeping phones till they die out is a big part of why I sticked with the iPhone XR and then iPhone 8 until the iPhone 15 Pro came out. With the announcement from the EU I knew it was coming so best to just wait for the less cable situation.
@@3_14thon7I swapped phones with my father because he needed a phone with eSIM functionality, I probably would have upgraded for USB-C and camera since I was planning to go to Japan but being on an iPhone 8 guaranteed it.
I used an eSIM recently during an international trip and it was really useful. Not sure if you’ve given that a try yet, but would save you from saving to swap physical sims. Great video, thanks!
Awesome content as usual Maurice. I’ve picked up a number of your EDC list as a result. Highly recommended you get an AirTag inside your critical items sling however!
For my Anker charger, I pack a one foot extension cord. That charger can so easily falls out of an airline plug and the little extension cord solves that.
Have you looked at the olight baton4 (premium)? Its got a usbc charging case, so you dont need to worry about the circle charger. And the charging case can be a powerbank in itself. So it could help shrink some aspects of the carry.
Love your content. So practical and helpful. It's because of you that I have the normal and passport versions of the Traveler's Notebook with Lamy pens.. Best to express myself and write stuff down so I don't forget! Well done Maurice.
That Bellroy travel wallet has been an object of desire for me for ages. I lucked out and found someone selling one on Facebook for less than half price in like new condition with all its accessories. Now I just need to plan a trip out of country...
Hi Maurice! that 'Anker GanPrime 120W Charger'...you mentioned using it as the sole charger when traveling with your MacBook Air in combination with your T4K , camera and iPhone...do you have any real world experience with that combination; where you have your 16-inch PRO with you? I have a trip to Scotland in 2024 and really want to pack the same items you list here, as I have them all, except the 120w charger. Hoping I can get away with the Anker 120w charging block as long as it will charge my MacPro+iPhone+T4K+Camera. I love your channel, thank you for your recs and content, it's all fantastic!
I haven't seen a TH-cam channel yet, to ask viewers what they have, and then the TH-camr tries to come up with the best carry option. For example, a viewer has a Fisher Space Pen, a SOG Poweraccess multipletool, a Micro Streamlight rechargeable, and a Buck 110 classic. Now, the TH-camr has to put together the best carry options for that individual's gear.
Everytime you upload a new video I hope to God you got a prybar to stop scraping with that beautiful folding knife you carry 😂😂 But seriously though, a prybar is a must on my travel EDC. Anyways, love your videos!
Hi there I went out and got the nitecore tini 2 and tup based on your review as you have never steered me wrong Baaad decision. Both lights died within 60 days 3:16 The Canadian rep ghosted as had Amazon and Nitecore O light has got usb c options now and have switched I know your experience is different and you have had good experience. But I would think seriously about O light or surefire
I have nearly the same charging setup! Same power, same battery, similar cords. Where do you store your Nitecore power bank? Measurements imply it's a tad too long to fit in the Alpaka Hub pouch.
If you’ve not yet watched Maurice’s videos relating to notebook use, I recommend them all highly . For me, the specific one about using a notebook to manage projects is especially valuable. Maurice’s ideas about how to design, plan, and execute any given project are clear, thoughtful, and pragmatic and expressed with similar clarity. Imo anyone could get something out of the video, whether they’re experienced, new to taking a structured approach or, like me, they’d kind of lost their way… Get onto it if you haven’t already, and big ups to Maurice for a video I must already have rewatched a dozen times. Cheers :)
Hey buddy. Love your content from India. So I am planning for 1 year motorcycle trip around middle East countries and I need to carry moto vlogging gears like dji osmo pocket, dji action camera, dji mini 4 pro drone, one dslr, and accessories like batteries, cables, chargers, SD card, storage devices. So can you make a video on backpack that solve problem of carrying these. But here the catch I am looking for sleek backpack that blend wherever I go and does not look bulky and outwards
Do you bring any AirPods or headphones when you travel? Seems like that would be a necessity for me, but curious how you deal with long flights or transit without these.
Thank You for a lot of great videos, I am very much into edc. This was a great video too, but I didnt get the thing about the watch… How do I set it so I get to see both my current timezone, and a place an hour behind my own?
Maurice - great tip on the handlebar phone mount, but does this model with the strap stay put on the handlebar or gradually rotate around the bar as you ride?
I am trying to decide between the action 4 and the insta360 x3. Use case would be hiking, biking and some basic water activities. Mind sharing your thoughts?
Maurice- your explanation of the usefulness of a flashlight in the event of an altercation abroad is classic 😂. Excellent example because yes you don’t want to issue a beatdown on anybody in another country if you can avoid it.
in your tech bag do you not bring SD cards or any additional camera gear with you besides your cameras and laptop? how do you off load data and or store it on the go?

Because of your videos I have started putting together my own travel EDC and organizational pouches for different uses. Thank you for your help! ❤
Honestly one of the best EDC channels here

Bruh this dude and his channel are the best for when it comes to organization for travel.
Every time I watch one of your videos it triggers my urge for travels, don’t know why.
Love how organized your bag is, I could never be that tidy lol.
Everything this dude ever recommends is ultra high end and costs a freaking fortune.
otherwise he's not gonna earn much from the affliate links
It's for a specific audience
Be sure to try all the local cuisines, food adventures are the best part!

It is so nice to see an EDC video with used gear. You actually use your gear which is awesome,
Six months of traveling, what an adventure! mighty travels premium really helps avoid overpaying for flights on a extended trip.
I love the way you make everything super simple, quick and easy to understand;)

Very organized! I learn a lot from you. Have a productive and fun work trip!
I’m a big fan of the olight O-clip, super small and usb -c rechargeable

Time to upgrade that flashlight to the Wuben X3. Very versatile…
Great quality, as always!

Interested in the paracord cable ties. I never thought to use them for cables
Great video as usual. Easy and fun to watch. Quick question, what is the purpose of this 6 months job ?
That watch is so cool!
The Olight Oport is what I used to travel with Olights. Sure it's extra, but small dongle to keep with the other dongles
momax make a multi-adapter + GaN charger in one now, just got one and can't be happier.
I love this channel so much 😍

I don't even travel...but I love your content 👍

Nitecore: wishlist would love a magsafe added to the NB10K while still keeping it ULTRALIGHT.

Great video one again! Well done!
If you were to replace your travel Nitecore flashlight with a new one, which make and model would you choose?
Maurice, Great presentation as always! What’s the brand of your cap? Thx.
Mate great videos but you should have a look at the olight baton 3 USb C charging stores 3.7 chargers in case and is hands free
Hi Maurice, very informative, thank you. Fellow Torontonian here! Which carry-on / check-in bag do you use for trips like these?
What tips do you have for someone wanting to start filming? Everyone has such high quality vids and so many cut segments
Cool edc set up! I’m curious with the green skin of your MacBook Air, where’d you get it?
your videos are pretty cool
Great video! I would’ve loved to see the notebook and pens. Did I spot a Lamy Safari?

The main concern I have about the Bellroy travel wallets is that they don't have space for more than a few coins. Oh well.
Dang it! Missed the patches!
Maurice - great tip on the handlebar phone mount, but does this model with the strap stay put on the handlebar or gradually rotate around the bar as you ride?
Maurice. I’m nervous about having my passport, other ID, credit cards and cash all in the same place. How do you mitigate the risk of loss?
I am trying to decide between the action 4 and the insta360 x3. Use case would be hiking, biking and some basic water activities. Mind sharing your thoughts?

Hi from 🇮🇩

What are those cool cable ties you use?
Can't believe you're able to travel without clothes. :-)
in your tech bag do you not bring SD cards or any additional camera gear with you besides your cameras and laptop? how do you off load data and or store it on the go?
What backpack/luggage setup are you taking?
Are those d brand skins for the MacBooks? Would you recommend ?
So curious.... why 222 sets of the patches?
What do you do business wise that allows you to travel so much?
What is that little bag you had for the flash light
I'm curious. What's your preferred credit card as a frequent traveller?
The more layback style of video presenting is much more preferred. This video feels like your running out of breath. instead of me being interested and relaxed , i felt tired
4:08 did you mean pouches with the loop side on them, not hook?
1:45 If your life is in danger, it shouldn't matter.
Why is the Nitecore T4K a better option for travel than the EDC27?
Most, if not all your videos, include some sort of knife. In most countries - mine is Canada - there are limitations on what you can carry on or check in your luggage when flying. Can you add a comment about this when talking about knives? Thanks!
I love Peak Design, but they're way too overpriced.
a tea-cozy for your pepper-pot?
Looking for a good travel flashlight! Does somebody remember in which of his videos Maurice compares his favs? Please send me the link! Thanks :)
What is the genre for the background you chose?
do you find there are any suitable lightning to usb c adapters that can clip to the thunderbolt cable?
