Hi I did this and it was giving me a socket error so I changed the compatibility and made sendmail.exe ask for admin permission which got rid of the error but now it just loads forever. The file works well on a friend's laptop but not mine.. any idea what the problem could be?
Hey. Nowadays for yahoo, we are required to use a one-time password. I entered that and it did not work. Also I am initiating this through a php file so for my sendmail path i just linked it directly to my php file. I was unsure what the .exe file so i was wondering if that mayhave been a cause. Hey Ricardo. Your webhost should already be setup to email directly from the host itself. You shouldn't need to modify anything other than the sending address.

Hi, i think it's made by bad configured smtp's settings. you need to set" smtp_server=smtp.gmail.com" (->if you want use gmail services) and "smtp_port=465" and" smtp_ssl=ssl" in "sendmail.ini " and then you need to comment these commands (smtp_port=25 , SMTP=localhost) as he mentioned in video. i think, may be you forgot to comment smtp_port in php.ini. good luck.

Double check your work and make sure your email account is configured to allow less-secure protocols. There are some comments here that provide additional information regarding different email providers. This is still working.

It's just a few changes in ini files that you must do according to your mail server and account settings. There's no need to provide source files (unless you ask for php.ini or something but it comes with apache server).

You are not configuring something correctly. Socket Error 11001 - Host not found (authoritative answer) This means that the ISP POP3 or SMTP server which you have told VPOP3 to connect to does not currently exist.
