6th FilCan Kalabaw Basketball League opener

The 6th edition of the Fil-Can Kalabaw Basketball League kicked off on early Sunday morning, September 15, at the McCauley School in Edmonton.
Six teams are entered in the tournament supported this year by Linde Canada Inc., which provided their uniforms, through the efforts of JP Quirante.
John Hufana, one of the members of the organizing committee, said they are promoting camaraderie among members in the Filipino community in Edmonton and purely rely on the volunteerism efforts of the players and their families.
The organizing committee is composed of Elmer Molina, John Hufana, Gener Gumarangbalao, Gio Cuencaco, JP Quirante, Froilan Fabella, Wowie Bungubung and Uly Alferez.
