The chat ban system has taken the fun out of the game. Call of Duty should know that vast majority of us players or former players play because we enjoy talking smack with our friends. All players have the power to mute teammates and turn off proximity chat if they wish.
I have not played Black ops six in over three weeks and it feels great. I have been playing other games and shooters and having a lot of fun with zero COD feeling of frustrations. If it wasn’t for game pass, I would have never purchased Black ops six. Warzone should be a completely separate game from the call of duty titles launching every year. No more integrations.

Played MW2, loved DMZ, never bought the game tho. Bit the bullet and bought MW3 mainly for zombies, it was alright, not worth $70 tho. With that said, I won’t be buying another COD. You end up spending just as much time looking up bugs, the meta, work-arounds, scandals, settings, cheaters to look out for, etc than you do actually playing the game.

Surely they go down the route of one consolidated Call of Duty at some point... the business model they currently run on can't continue forever if the player base is constantly hemorrhaging. At some point they've got to see a drop in blackcell/season pass/store purchases due to the constant erratic changes and realise that they can still make bank just from selling skins, weapon bundles and season passes? Personally, I've seen value in some of the Blackcell season passes but not so much lately - so i didn't buy it this season or last season. But I still bought the regular battle pass. I also used to buy any weapon/skin bundle that peaked my interest - I now haven't bought a bundle in the last 6 months. I'm obviously theorising here, but surely there's others out there like me doing the same and COD have to, at some point, recognise the correlation between the state of the game being poor and a decrease in microtransaction sales.
Yet the Skin & Weapon Bundles in the Store ALWAYS seems to work with no problems. So not really buying the excuses that are being put out. The companies are being cheap and not hiring enough qualified people plain and simple.

Studios not working together is one of the reasons why Call of Duty is in its state. I think the franchise will be better off if all the studios work together. A likely scenarios goes like this; Campaign and story - Infinity Ward Multiplayer - Sledgehammer Games Zombies - Treyarch Warzone - Raven Software

MW3 should’ve shipped as an expansion instead of a whole new game. But with that said, the same studio should’ve been developing it as well. It seems like the benefits to their yearly cycle has expired. Want to retain players, develop a better game. Need more time to develop a better game, give the studios more time or assign tasks to different studios so it doesn’t take as long. Mismanagement of the development cycle.

Bo6 will be my last cod title purchase until activision can release a game that works as intended at launch. There was so much hype over this title having the longest development time of any cod game, and here we are halfway through season 1 and the game is in an abysmal state. We've had 2 events to release new perks. I've fulfilled the requirements to obtain said perks, and for some reason, neither of them show up during perk selection. If they can't even guarantee that rewards for the events are usable by players then why on earth should we participate? There is a reason that half of the franchise's player base is playing on mobile instead of full title cod games. And it's not because mobile is more convenient...
I like the idea of WZ being its own game that just gets new weapons when a game comes out and a new map every so often. Instead of it getting a massive update every year they just need to assign one studio to WZ and maybe it’ll get better?
It's crazy that despite how much money they have they are afraid of making less so they produce a game and hype it up each year , but if they did what you suggested, sure they wouldn't have those huge spikes in profit, but eventually if they keep going this route, that spike will dwindle because less people will find it interesting to make content on a game that always is broken, but if they did what you suggested, they would see a better outlook in the community as they would see a more polished game and more long term fans buying the games because they will appreciate the care and passion put in to make a better game. Call of duty either needs to reform or go bust It’s happened to other “big names” in gaming I’m making a prediction here… Verdansk will not save warzone, sadly OG warzone would not save warzone either - people want the OG feeling back, and innovation on that !! In my opinion if mw3 movement/mechanics had Verdansk launch at the end of its lifecycle it would have been *chefs kiss* Omni-movement isn’t a problem, as such, I think people generally find it fun in MP and it just needed to integrate into warzone seamlessly - but, as per usual, it’s a complete cluster**** (every-damn-year!!) And as for servers and anticheat, I would imagine that’s a fiscal issue - they’re not throwing enough resources and people at it currently because the less they spend the more they keep I still play MP/WZ - but not as regularly/passionately It’s a real shame to watch something fade out like this due to mismanagement
Funny you say that. Many would say that the fix is more complicated but there’s a 90% chance that throwing more $$$ & resources at it would indeed fix the issue. It’s not that the game is bad, it’s that it’s broken, just like the one before, and the one before that. Stop selling ppl incomplete products and naturally a bunch of issues will go away. I can’t imagine it would be impossible to release a game that works as intended (considering that was decades of video games before the live service boom), and just think, if a small issue pops up after the release, you can still patch it, unlike games from 20 years ago.

If they did what you suggest and put each studio in charge of different parts of the game, they could just release annual passes for $60 for the multiplayer and campaign. And then sell season passes as normal for warzone. This would fix the revenue issue while allowing for a continuous improvement of the game.
Also, we are the vocal minority. The majority of players are casual and don't really notice or care about the majority of gripes we have with the game. My brother-in-law and nephew play COD casually and have nothing but good things to say about it. They jump on a couple times a week for MP or Zombies, have fun, and call it a day.
CoD is kind of a hellish game to be a diehard fan of. Most of the content that the community values and is excited about completing takes a lot of play time (camo grinds, prestige, max leveling all weapons), and requires that you start playing at launch if you dont want to fall way behind, and there's a built-in expiration date for you to complete that content before the new game drops. However, the games are usually a mess at launch and dont hit their stride until season 2 or 3. So if you wait until the game is actually enjoyable, you probably won't complete the stuff you want to complete before the game's lifecycle ends. So the otherwise exciting content and grinds become pretty unpleasant to do, and feel like an extra job on top of your irl one.
Would be a great scenario if all the studios took their own piece of CoD to work on! If all these other games can just keep one version around and update it then CoD can too. That’s what a live service game is supposed to be. But call of duty wants to double dip. They want to be a premium $70 title every year AND be a live service game all at the same time. Greed.
My issues last night. We played with 3 friends resutgence: Server lag Baf matchmaking 50% lobbys we are with 3 instead of 4. Cheaters on 2 games Shots not registerd 1 time restart the game We played 3 hours and not having a blast sadly
Yes that's what I've been saying they need one manager at the top that plays the game and is ready to incorporate all the companies to build the games together. And new creative ideas are needed.
If we truly had a 2, 3, or 4-year COD cycle (not just the dev cycle) instead of a new game every year, each and every game would be better than anything we have now. But that will never happen, because Activision realizes that there's more money (currently) in releasing more, bad-quality games than fewer, but much better-quality games.
Omnimovement is a bust. It’s too fast and requires way too much skill to master. New and younger players are not playing this game. There has to be a path to victory for players other than the sweatiest most aggressive players that play CoD everyday, or players lose interest. No one wants to lose to sweats all night. Way to blow it Activision.
They need to allow the players to turn off Omni movement, the only movement I enjoy is the prone position, you can actually just roll and shoot vs the old way of turning around .

For 5 years now, not a single person has been able to show, with numbers backing their claims, that any damage is being changed in game. All we have to go off of is random clips from different players where gunfights arent consistent, which has been a thing in COD dating back to P2P servers in the 2010s. There is however, 5 years of data with numbers and objective analytics proving that damage across varying skill levels is not changing whatsoever. You are only fooling yourself if you are actively seeing tests done, objectively, and transparently, and still not realizing the numbers arent lying. Also, EOMM and SBMM have existed for a long time, and I've never said otherwise bud.
They can say whatever they want about the “engines” the fact I need to still have MW3 installed to play “Warzone 2022” per the game files is embarrassing. Warzone should be its own game with its own perks and its own guns. Imagine playing Warzone and it says Grau (2019), MP7 (2011). Build off work stop resetting. @WhosImmortal IW gets the least amount of love and i get some of the reasons why, BUT they created DMZ and Al Mazrah. There hasnt been a more creative mode or overall better map since. Neither DMZ or Al Mazrah was the problem with MW2. They were the highlights. Folks didnt like the slow movement and the lack of attention Warzone got because of DMZ, but i feel like the sheer tech achievement of Al Mazrah and creativity behind DMZ gets lost in the story looking back. I get negative responses everytime i mention DMZ, and i never understand why. Peak creativity in COD history IMO.
Honestly I’ve stopped playing BO6 the only thing that pulls me back is my friends and Family that play but even then these casual gamers are starting to get angry running into lobbies with blatant cheaters and very poor connection issues.
Raven usually takes over Warzone after IW finishes it's run with their title ( MW19/MWII). IW usually is the head developer on the Warzone titles, Raven is assisting and takes over after the first year and handles the integrations and stuff.
Here’s a thought, Activision is the most cheated on because it’s Activision selling the cheats. Regarding the different studios it’s probably each studio is looking to make the others are worse than them. Ultimately securing there job.

I 100% agree with what you say towards the end of the video. That truly sounds ideal. I really wish Warzone could have been separate and they would have left Raven alone. Integrate new weapons but overall let Warzone be Warzone. The movement changing to be like MW2 was a huge mistake. They completely stripped the game of features and then have slowly been giving them back since.
Warzone should be a stand alone app/title. Completely separate from multiplayer. Then just keep updating it like Fortnite or apex or pretty much every other BR. That’s the only way it’s ever going to maybe be polished the way we all want it to be.
Steam has a major issue with not allowing higher frames rates. It’s been the main reason that the player count has dropped so much. Battlenet runs the game 3x better. I was only getting 70-80 FPS when I launched the game on Steam. When I switch back to battlenet my frames went up to 200+. Please stop using the Steam player count as an explanation for the player drop. It’s not at all an accurate representation.
It’s the only public data we have for players, we know it’s not a perfect representation, but trends follow on other platforms and that’s been proven before
I feel like overall, these studios are just WAAAY over pressured and rushed by Activision to put the next cod out.. and maybe that could be the problem. They need to stop releasing a cod game every year so early (in my opinion) and build off of one for more than the typical time span.
I noticed that in the B06 game the icon for the armored vehicle is the same as MW3, but the actual vehicle is different. This is just an example as to how sloppy these developers are. It is important to pay attention to the details...LIKE SOUND. We all know that is a disaster. I really hope the CEO of the parent company is going to get this together once and for all.
Had to stop playing multiplayer. I'm rocking a 3kd without 2boxing, I just can't take it anymore with the super sweaty lobbies, its just stressful to play unless you are fully locked in, have a few drinks on christmas and cant even play the game cause of this nasty SBMM system.
I don't even think they have to stop doing the yearly releases for MP cycling between IW, SH & Treyarch, though you concept of having those devs working together on a specific aspect of the same game would definitely be a better system imo. I just think the live service nature of WZ work a lot better with 1 dev team overseeing the vision & development of a separate WZ, as proven by the success of Fortnite, Apex & even PUBG once upon a time. The cyclical nature of traditional yearly CoD releases isn't compatible with a live service BR
If they’re going to continue to have these studios rotate then each call of duty should release their own Warzone in their own engine. The integration is what ruined this game
All these studios are owned wholly by Activision. Again, ALL of these studios are owned by Activision. Bad leadership is the why. The fix is, get someone in there that'll light a fire under their asses. AND, merge the studio's into one new studio that is forced to work together on the title instead of leaving it up to people pissing in the sand over this and that.
There biggest problem seems to be integration. It had been sense the end of MW2019. The second largest problem seems to be server stability. Third, i would say it is the hacking.
Sledgehammer is by far the best of the 3 studios so far in my opinion. Hopefully Treyarch will pull their finger out, and get MP in its best state. And hopefully Raven do the same with WZ. I have lost all faith in Ricoshit unfortunately.
I play both cod and fortnite but fortnite does not have a good anti cheat the problem is just as bad in FNCS especially the OCE cups and in ranked all regions

Played MW2, loved DMZ, never bought the game tho. Bit the bullet and bought MW3 mainly for zombies, it was alright, not worth $70 tho. With that said, I won’t be buying another COD. You end up spending just as much time looking up bugs, the meta, work-arounds, scandals, settings, cheaters to look out for, etc than you do actually playing the game.

Surely they go down the route of one consolidated Call of Duty at some point... the business model they currently run on can't continue forever if the player base is constantly hemorrhaging.
At some point they've got to see a drop in blackcell/season pass/store purchases due to the constant erratic changes and realise that they can still make bank just from selling skins, weapon bundles and season passes?
Personally, I've seen value in some of the Blackcell season passes but not so much lately - so i didn't buy it this season or last season. But I still bought the regular battle pass.
I also used to buy any weapon/skin bundle that peaked my interest - I now haven't bought a bundle in the last 6 months.
I'm obviously theorising here, but surely there's others out there like me doing the same and COD have to, at some point, recognise the correlation between the state of the game being poor and a decrease in microtransaction sales.
Yet the Skin & Weapon Bundles in the Store ALWAYS seems to work with no problems. So not really buying the excuses that are being put out. The companies are being cheap and not hiring enough qualified people plain and simple.

Studios not working together is one of the reasons why Call of Duty is in its state. I think the franchise will be better off if all the studios work together. A likely scenarios goes like this;
Campaign and story - Infinity Ward
Multiplayer - Sledgehammer Games
Zombies - Treyarch
Warzone - Raven Software

MW3 should’ve shipped as an expansion instead of a whole new game. But with that said, the same studio should’ve been developing it as well. It seems like the benefits to their yearly cycle has expired. Want to retain players, develop a better game. Need more time to develop a better game, give the studios more time or assign tasks to different studios so it doesn’t take as long. Mismanagement of the development cycle.

Bo6 will be my last cod title purchase until activision can release a game that works as intended at launch. There was so much hype over this title having the longest development time of any cod game, and here we are halfway through season 1 and the game is in an abysmal state. We've had 2 events to release new perks. I've fulfilled the requirements to obtain said perks, and for some reason, neither of them show up during perk selection. If they can't even guarantee that rewards for the events are usable by players then why on earth should we participate? There is a reason that half of the franchise's player base is playing on mobile instead of full title cod games. And it's not because mobile is more convenient...
I like the idea of WZ being its own game that just gets new weapons when a game comes out and a new map every so often. Instead of it getting a massive update every year they just need to assign one studio to WZ and maybe it’ll get better?
The same approach should be done with DMZ.

It's crazy that despite how much money they have they are afraid of making less so they produce a game and hype it up each year , but if they did what you suggested, sure they wouldn't have those huge spikes in profit, but eventually if they keep going this route, that spike will dwindle because less people will find it interesting to make content on a game that always is broken, but if they did what you suggested, they would see a better outlook in the community as they would see a more polished game and more long term fans buying the games because they will appreciate the care and passion put in to make a better game. Omni-movement isn’t a problem, as such, I think people generally find it fun in MP and it just needed to integrate into warzone seamlessly - but, as per usual, it’s a complete cluster**** (every-damn-year!!)
And as for servers and anticheat, I would imagine that’s a fiscal issue - they’re not throwing enough resources and people at it currently because the less they spend the more they keep

Funny you say that. Many would say that the fix is more complicated but there’s a 90% chance that throwing more $$$ & resources at it would indeed fix the issue. It’s not that the game is bad, it’s that it’s broken, just like the one before, and the one before that. Stop selling ppl incomplete products and naturally a bunch of issues will go away. I can’t imagine it would be impossible to release a game that works as intended (considering that was decades of video games before the live service boom), and just think, if a small issue pops up after the release, you can still patch it, unlike games from 20 years ago.

Yo Zac! Surprisingly enough, the store is finally bugged!! If you try to preview some emotes or exexution, the audio is very wrong or has no audio, or if you preview unicorn emote, it'll play a griddy emote after it??? Thought the store should be flawless!?
If they did what you suggest and put each studio in charge of different parts of the game, they could just release annual passes for $60 for the multiplayer and campaign. And then sell season passes as normal for warzone. This would fix the revenue issue while allowing for a continuous improvement of the game.
Also, we are the vocal minority. The majority of players are casual and don't really notice or care about the majority of gripes we have with the game. My brother-in-law and nephew play COD casually and have nothing but good things to say about it. They jump on a couple times a week for MP or Zombies, have fun, and call it a day.
CoD is kind of a hellish game to be a diehard fan of. Most of the content that the community values and is excited about completing takes a lot of play time (camo grinds, prestige, max leveling all weapons), and requires that you start playing at launch if you dont want to fall way behind, and there's a built-in expiration date for you to complete that content before the new game drops. However, the games are usually a mess at launch and dont hit their stride until season 2 or 3. So if you wait until the game is actually enjoyable, you probably won't complete the stuff you want to complete before the game's lifecycle ends. So the otherwise exciting content and grinds become pretty unpleasant to do, and feel like an extra job on top of your irl one.
Would be a great scenario if all the studios took their own piece of CoD to work on!
If all these other games can just keep one version around and update it then CoD can too. That’s what a live service game is supposed to be. But call of duty wants to double dip. They want to be a premium $70 title every year AND be a live service game all at the same time. Greed.

Yes that's what I've been saying they need one manager at the top that plays the game and is ready to incorporate all the companies to build the games together. And new creative ideas are needed.
If we truly had a 2, 3, or 4-year COD cycle (not just the dev cycle) instead of a new game every year, each and every game would be better than anything we have now. But that will never happen, because Activision realizes that there's more money (currently) in releasing more, bad-quality games than fewer, but much better-quality games.
Omnimovement is a bust. It’s too fast and requires way too much skill to master. New and younger players are not playing this game. There has to be a path to victory for players other than the sweatiest most aggressive players that play CoD everyday, or players lose interest. No one wants to lose to sweats all night. Way to blow it Activision.

For 5 years now, not a single person has been able to show, with numbers backing their claims, that any damage is being changed in game. All we have to go off of is random clips from different players where gunfights arent consistent, which has been a thing in COD dating back to P2P servers in the 2010s. There is however, 5 years of data with numbers and objective analytics proving that damage across varying skill levels is not changing whatsoever. You are only fooling yourself if you are actively seeing tests done, objectively, and transparently, and still not realizing the numbers arent lying. Also, EOMM and SBMM have existed for a long time, and I've never said otherwise bud.
They can say whatever they want about the “engines” the fact I need to still have MW3 installed to play “Warzone 2022” per the game files is embarrassing. Warzone should be its own game with its own perks and its own guns. Imagine playing Warzone and it says Grau (2019), MP7 (2011). Build off work stop resetting. How many times did they fix the gas mask than break it, than fix it, than break it.

@WhosImmortal IW gets the least amount of love and i get some of the reasons why, BUT they created DMZ and Al Mazrah. There hasnt been a more creative mode or overall better map since. Neither DMZ or Al Mazrah was the problem with MW2. They were the highlights. Folks didnt like the slow movement and the lack of attention Warzone got because of DMZ, but i feel like the sheer tech achievement of Al Mazrah and creativity behind DMZ gets lost in the story looking back. I get negative responses everytime i mention DMZ, and i never understand why. Peak creativity in COD history IMO.

Honestly I’ve stopped playing BO6 the only thing that pulls me back is my friends and Family that play but even then these casual gamers are starting to get angry running into lobbies with blatant cheaters and very poor connection issues.
Raven usually takes over Warzone after IW finishes it's run with their title ( MW19/MWII).
IW usually is the head developer on the Warzone titles, Raven is assisting and takes over after the first year and handles the integrations and stuff.
MW2019 is the only title where Raven wasnt the warzone lead

Here’s a thought, Activision is the most cheated on because it’s Activision selling the cheats. Regarding the different studios it’s probably each studio is looking to make the others are worse than them. Ultimately securing there job.

If you've got 3 studios who won't work together and work towards a common goal then Activision/Microsoft need to step in and tell them that's what's happening.
Warzone was at it's best when the core game stayed the same then they just integrated guns each year (all be it badly) and then they could spend the year with QoL features and cool events (looking at you Nakatomi) or map updates (looking at you stadium opening)
This constant reset and direction change each year is just terrible

I 100% agree with what you say towards the end of the video. That truly sounds ideal. I really wish Warzone could have been separate and they would have left Raven alone. Integrate new weapons but overall let Warzone be Warzone. The movement changing to be like MW2 was a huge mistake. They completely stripped the game of features and then have slowly been giving them back since.
Warzone should be a stand alone app/title. Completely separate from multiplayer. Then just keep updating it like Fortnite or apex or pretty much every other BR.

Steam has a major issue with not allowing higher frames rates. It’s been the main reason that the player count has dropped so much. Battlenet runs the game 3x better. I was only getting 70-80 FPS when I launched the game on Steam. When I switch back to battlenet my frames went up to 200+. Please stop using the Steam player count as an explanation for the player drop. It’s not at all an accurate representation.
It’s the only public data we have for players, we know it’s not a perfect representation, but trends follow on other platforms and that’s been proven before
I feel like overall, these studios are just WAAAY over pressured and rushed by Activision to put the next cod out.. and maybe that could be the problem. They need to stop releasing a cod game every year so early (in my opinion) and build off of one for more than the typical time span.
I noticed that in the B06 game the icon for the armored vehicle is the same as MW3, but the actual vehicle is different. This is just an example as to how sloppy these developers are. It is important to pay attention to the details...LIKE SOUND. We all know that is a disaster. I really hope the CEO of the parent company is going to get this together once and for all.

Had to stop playing multiplayer. I'm rocking a 3kd without 2boxing, I just can't take it anymore with the super sweaty lobbies, its just stressful to play unless you are fully locked in, have a few drinks on christmas and cant even play the game cause of this nasty SBMM system.
I don't even think they have to stop doing the yearly releases for MP cycling between IW, SH & Treyarch, though you concept of having those devs working together on a specific aspect of the same game would definitely be a better system imo. I just think the live service nature of WZ work a lot better with 1 dev team overseeing the vision & development of a separate WZ, as proven by the success of Fortnite, Apex & even PUBG once upon a time. The cyclical nature of traditional yearly CoD releases isn't compatible with a live service BR

Treyarch should’ve never had ANYTHING to do with Warzone. That type of gameplay isn’t their lane.
All these studios are owned wholly by Activision. Again, ALL of these studios are owned by Activision.
Bad leadership is the why. The fix is, get someone in there that'll light a fire under their asses. AND, merge the studio's into one new studio that is forced to work together on the title instead of leaving it up to people pissing in the sand over this and that.
There biggest problem seems to be integration. It had been sense the end of MW2019. The second largest problem seems to be server stability. Third, i would say it is the hacking.
Sledgehammer is by far the best of the 3 studios so far in my opinion. Hopefully Treyarch will pull their finger out, and get MP in its best state. And hopefully Raven do the same with WZ. I have lost all faith in Ricoshit unfortunately.
I play both cod and fortnite but fortnite does not have a good anti cheat the problem is just as bad in FNCS especially the OCE cups and in ranked all regions
