I love how everything was going old war ish so I was like "Damn this must be WW2 ish era game" then a Chinalake popped out of nowhere and shatter my theory lol
I thought it was a wild west era game until i saw the FG-42
that's interesting how the china lake is clearly the most modern gun of the game (although the S&W revolver is relatively recent if it is well a model 19) the game taking place during the 1960s
The Vietnam war saw a very wide use of WW2 weaponry.
This is set around the 1950s and 1960s

BFV was the first
mine had this feature until I swapped out the carrier to the two peice carrier
Some other games are accurate as well. These early Auto-5, not the later models.

I feel like the lever action needs it's sprite reworked. It looks all weird and tiny compared to the other weapons
It's because it's a mares leg, a really short lever action

The STEN’s firing animation looks a little jumpy due to the fire rate. A less-intrusive animation of recoil can work, but a frame or two for sustained fire would be cool to see,

FYI, I'd expect Chapter 2 to cost up to 10€. IIRC, the intended business model was to pay per-chapter, with the first one costing just 10€ as well.
0:57 it looks like they took lessons from Black ops: Cold War. Eight rounds in a six round cylinder.
This game was released before Cold War. The 8 round cylinder is an upgrade for the revolver you can get later on, sure the animations or models don't change to represent it upgrade,but it makes a lot more sense than in cold war

the dev should put some more polygons in FG42's scope. all weapon graphics are 2d sprites rendered from actual 3d models, so I still don't get why he did care about polycount

I didn't realize that the C96 and Sten shared the same ammo pool, hence if all of the cult was using C96's either manufactured in 9mm or converted to 9mm, then I would be collecting each and every pistol to make a small fortune years later lol. Look up the asking prices for C96's chambered in 9mm and you will see what I mean.

okay that little "fwit" noise on the revolver firing is a little annoying
i took the game mainly for its interesting choice of guns , for the Sten SMG C96 pistol , the China lake and finally the Browning shotgun , my fave weapons . as well as the nostalgic Resident evil 4 vibes (i wonder if its remake is still worth it).
the game creator have announced that the Cultic Chapter 2 , will have totally new guns. i was on a forum on Steam and the developer said he wouldn't be against the fact to include guns with 30-06 , a type of rifle bullet which was used by the US army during WW2. so we can expect to see the Browning automatic rifle ( the BAR machine-gun rifle) or the M1 Garand , i think it would be really nice to see the M1C scoped variant appearing , to replace the FG42 as a sniping rifle.
I would also love to see the Hi-power pistol , the S&W 76 , Madsen , Mac 10 , Carl gustav or Uzi SMG and a Winchester or Ithaca pump shotgun. i also hope the China lake will be left in Chapter 2 , because there's no cooler launcher than it and anyway i barely used it in the first Chapter with why not a throwable one like the Panzerfaust or the M72 LAW
