I love your channel! I'm new to felting and the last few weeks I have been devouring every felting tutorial I can find on TH-cam. Your videos are definitely some of my favourites though. I'm a former teacher and I think your teaching style is easy to follow, thorough, and organised. I know it must be time consuming to create these so thank you so much! Can't wait for the next one!
That is the nicest review/comment ever! Thank you so much, it is incredibly encouraging and helpful so I will continue making many more. So glad you have found them to be helpful 😃
Yes actually I was thinking of you as last time you commented, If I remember correctly- you were excited about the daily uploads. And it’s just been way to long since my last video. Thank you for continuing support and for the lovely comments!
I think if it’s very soapy, definitely wash it out! My soap seems to dissolve quickly. I also add water and less soap as I go. Then I finish felting on a dry towel. So eventually it comes out :)
This was wonderful and informative but I’m confused as to what a resist is. What is it made out of? Are they a specialty item that one would buy at a craft store or can you use other things to wrap the felt around?
Hi S. Ok I realise now I need to make a video tutorial on resist for all resist based projects! I use a flat packing foam 2-3mm thick for all my resist based projects. You can also use bubblewrap, I just find it more difficult to cut shapes out of and more difficult to fold the wool around the edges. The flat foam works best. I buy it online and in store at Bunnings. It’s a packaging material so it’s possible Post shops or warehouse type stores could have this. The resist is used to seperate the two layers of fibres so they do not felt together, creating a space between the layers of felt. This allows you to create slippers, bags, cases, covers, shape into 3D items like bowls, etc. It’s very confusing when explained and so this video will be top of my list when I am back from holidays :)

I think felting a flower into the vessel would be really nice, or a decorative picture. Very cool!!
Already drawn out! I would like to make all kinds of cute shapes.

Great stuff! I really like your videos, and it's great that you show the whole process. I'm going to try this soon.
Thank you! Feel free to share your results! I love hearing all about your felting project or any questions you might have or if you get stuck 😃

Thanks you. I really appreciate all your comments :)
A lovely shape
Thanks! I can only imagine all the cool shaped bowls or vessels one could make! I will create a template for it with some additional shapes 😀
Do you rinse the soap out of it before drying??
