High-speed trains now stop in Longnan of Jiangxi Province. It's easier to access these houses now. I'll also upload videos about Hakka tulou and other places related to Hakka people as well as the migration of Hakka people later this year. Then you can really plan a trip to learn about your culture.

Thank you for the video, I loved it. The research and effort on making it are noticeable and are appreciated. It´s great that you give such broad but not at all basic information on the subject. The reference to antropological, historical, architectural and social aspects of Hakka houses are great! Cheers from Brazil!

Omg 😲 looks like they're live in fear, no wonder they scattered across the globe 🌎

they used to live in fear but not any more. There were not enough farmland in the hilly areas in southern Jiangxi, western Fujian and northern Guangdong provinces. After they moved there, they got into conflicts with local people for land and other resources. So they built fortress-like houses. But this was during 16th-19th century. Since 19th century, Hakka people migrated abroad to pursue better life, just like many Canton people did.

So I google translated your comment and I think I know what you talked about. Right there were many Hakka people who immigrated to Southeast Asia. Most were Hakka people who lived in Meizhou, Guangdong Province. Some were from Yongding, Fujian Province. But very few were from southern Jiangxi Province, which is the place I visited in this video. I'll upload videos about the other two locations soon.
