- Hey there viewers, we have started the work requested over at the Patreon page:

This is a complete component replacement of the air-conditioning system in a MK2 VW Golf/Jetta. Yes even the evaporator core. A few "while your in there" items as well.
My 86 Jetta turbo diesel also had the 3-blade cooling fan with vent tube going to nothing. Replaced it with a 6-blade fan with no vent tube, seems to be working fine 🤷🏻♂️
My last MK2 was a CE2 car. Finding LOTS of differences. Got it blowing cold air today. Videos in the queue. Thanks for watching!
Hey there Keenan at the vlog!! Looks like you fellas are having "fun" 😳 just think how awesome it will be to ride around with AC!!
My MK7 just had to have a new condenser at 50k and yes they had to take off the entire front end....I know this because tech left things unplugged
ALMOST back together. Found out today my compressor has R12 compatible oil in it. Debating trying to drain and fill with PAG100. EVERYTHING else is replaced so I would hate to put this together and trash the system by mixing oils.
The plastic you broke under the bumper, is available in the aftermarket vision. (Europe)
I'll try to fix this one if possible. good to know I can get a replacement. Thanks.
Where were you able to find all the hoses, the only hose I can find is the lower discharge line
Negative. I had the NLA ones fabricated from the originals. Not cheap but works.
@@tr3wrench About to tackle this in my 16v. Where did you go to have the hoses fabricated?

Those chrome strips for the bumpers are available on ebay $20 each and that's cheap, brand new from 🇨🇳 china
Wait... the trim pieces on the small bumpers are available again? Gotta a link?
