Bro they’re definitely not, between the time they bought sell, it’s not even prolly the same people who authorized it in the first place. It’s like if you fake anything.. the manufacturers prolly want the gone as much as you, and for the authenticators party, it’ll do more harm to them knowing that the thing they authenticate has GI Joe cards, that shows how bad they are, so I don’t think if authenticators are involved they wouldn’t do it in a way that directly affect their reputation and bro it’s a fake who knows that can fabricate that seal, it might not be actually BBE authenticated just like Fake passport or any fake documents you don’t go aks the government why they make fake passports, cuz someone else fake it so good it almost pass as real tho... so for we know BBE might have never received that box in the first place cuz it might not only the cards and boxes that are forged but also the seal.. so yeah I wouldn’t think they’re involved, but still- maybe if they can who can fake their seal maybe they can lead it back to the source.. this is 3 and a half million dollar fraud, biggest sports card fraud.. fbi will come and swoop in anytime soon...
Theres a video tracing it back to Ebay, that's the first known area of the box being sold. This damages the experts because they are only as good as their last authentication. Now, will people trust them with future authentication? Doubt it

Why not open the box and look at the 1st edition boxes instead of authenticating a brown carboard box. the real value is in the acutal Pokemon boxes. they new straight away the boxes didnt look right, so idk why you wouldnt open the cardboard box to authenticate the pokemion boxes. seems a little bit weird to authenticate a sealed brown cardboard box

The reason they authenticated it because it looked old and aged like it had sat in someone's garage for years especially when the tape had partially disintegrated and stuck to the box and all the lines of dirt in the lines of the cardboard box. From the outside it looked mostly legit but you have to open it to see if it is fake or not and by then it loses its value somewhat but this was the BEST option they had left because each individual box in the crate would still be worth more if it was real since it was a group of boxes in a crate even though the crate may be opened and box may be opened too that is still better than getting 6 individual unopened boxes and putting them in a crate
