Good video, especially the explanation of the circuit. I had the same issue, but just used the Deoxit spray and cycled the switch about 20 times, let dry and it worked perfectly. I understand this is a common issue for these turntables. But good to know there are replacements.
Excellent video...clear and concise! I have the same problem where the record plays to the end and the arm lifts, but the automatic shut off does not engage so the platter keeps spinning. Is there a way to determine whether it's the switch at fault or the photo sensor? Thanks in advance!
I have a similar issue, but it appears to be the switch for the auto stop sensor. Should I replace both switches? Do you have the part # for the auto stop switch?
Great vid! Any ideas...?? I replaced the switch with the exact one that you recommend in this video and it still will not consistently cue up. What else could it be?
@@vinylfinder33 That is exactly right! I just now figured it out. There are 2 switches in line with the down cue button that appear to be within the same circuit. When I cleaned both of them with deoxit, lo and behold... the up cue worked and continues to function. Thank you for your help.
@VinylFinder33 I find... now... that the tone arm jumps/pops up with the cue up button with such force that it loses its position on the record. Then, the down button drops gently the 1st time, but subsequent use of the down cue drops the tone arm like a brick!! What do you think is wrong?
Replaced all the switches cue now works all the time , this video sent me in the right direction while you have it apart replace all the switches worth it in the long run
My issue with my 6300 auto shutoff is when i let the record runout it does not pop up or shutoff, but the strange thing is that if i repeat the process from the beginning (start the tonearm at its rest position and press the 'Down' button) and then manually move the tonearm all the way over the record (holding it by hand and hovering just above) the auto shut off DOES kick in when I reach the point where the end of the record is, any ideas? I deoxit all switches and cleaned and lubed all moving parts. Thanks

Though my experience 9x out of 10 it is the little switches. U can pick them up cheap on the internet electronics suppliers.

Ok great, I'll place an order for switches today. Thanks so much for your timely advice!

Thanks for the feedback! If you look at the other switches like the one u replaced i would swap those as well. Is yours working at all? Sometimes?

I have the same issue but when I hold the tone arm up it triggers up cue every time , I will replace the second switch today and see if that works .
