Ciao Alla and Sergi, the house is coming along beautifully, that's the beauty of being able to live there while you renovate, you can move from room to room, you are getting the major restorations of each room done, then you can go room to room to finish them off. So, don't listen anyone, you guys are doing a tremendous job. I think the light grey will be a perfect color for the entrance hall. Buona notte, tanto amore da N.Y.
You defenitly need a few wooden shelfunits from Ikea or so to put all your building materials and utensils on so you can find things! You could designate one room on each floor to be your storage room for that floor. When finished move every thing to another floor. I could not live with that mess. You also loose so much time with constantly having to look for everything. In later years those storageshelfs can go to the cantina workshop.i own a simular sewingmachine stand. I made a top on it from treated garden wood. It has served me well in my garden for more then 10 years now. I have a big zinc basin on it with a solar waterpump and some pots and a stone frog.
Yes, light gray will be a good choice allowing ay color painting you hang on the wall to be a focal point without clashing. Great idea on the hidden door. Happy New Year!
I think it's so sweet for you to put Cherie with you under the blankets. She was falling asleep. She is adorable. Everything is coming around, and that is all that matters. Now call Sergi and put him under the blanket, too.❤❤❤😊
The bathroom mural is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the entry get finished. At some point everything will be in it's place and not a construction zone.
Alla and Sergi My husband and I have in our lifetime bought renovated over 22 homes not including the 2 apt building with 32 apts in each building … it is nice to watch someone else do the work and enjoy your journey Happy New Year in 2025 … you are getting closer to finishing the major projects in your home !
I love beautiful Cherie, very much 🩷 The bookcase's unique position, will be a very special amazing feature, Alla & Sergi. The lovely glass doors, are beautiful, wonderful on the built- in cubbard, it will be just excellent feature also.
It’s called organized chaos and a natural part of renovation when you’re living in it. I actually think your fairly organized all considering 😊 can’t wait to see your paintings on the wall, they are beautiful ❤
How cute Cherie hinder the blanket in your bed ❤ You guys have made such huge progress with your house. Well done. I hope you take a few days off to relax at Christmas 🎄
I saw the lovely sideboard in the entrance. Would it fit in the cantina? The restaurant you went to for the birthday party had one in theirs. It is so pretty
Pale gray with yellow lined cabinets sounds divine. Hidden door sounds intriguing. Excited to see it come together. It will be spectacular I’m sure as everything you have done so far is very special
Gray comes in many tones. Maybe consider a green rather than blue side of gray. It will be light and not so austere plus will give you some changes with the light/lighting. Have enjoyed your lovely renovations since the beginning. Continued blessings for the New Year! 🎉✨✨✨
I am one of your subscribers who asked about the status of the second bathroom and indoor kitchen. My comment was not a critcism but spoke to an earnest curiosity about the subprojects. I am fully into the story of your Lake Como historic renovation. You have done an excellent job with both the tasks and storytelling concerning the roof repair, outdoor kitchen, first bathroom, and two gardens. As a consumer of multiple TH-cam (YT) contibutors who are also embarking on major renovations throughout the world, my previous comment about your project was not intended to be malicious. I respect each YT contributors' storytelling style, and I do not compare or judge because the context is different for each. So for the record and to make my comment clearer, I truly just wanted to know what happened to the second bathroom and indoor kitchen. These two storylines just seemed to abruptly stop. All the best.
The kitchen is still in the planning stage, and I’m struggling to start it. I don’t have the essential tools needed for such a big project, nor the budget to buy them outright. I reached out to several brands, offering to collaborate for free and review their tools in exchange, but unfortunately, none responded positively. I spent my last paycheck on the cheapest wood for the kitchen cabinets. Now, I’m working around the clock to save up for the tools I need and finally start building the kitchen. Probably 1 or 2 month salaries more... Bathroom - is not needed now as we need to finish kitchen first. Kitchen struggling then we are doing next room. I hope our algorithm is clear now.
I have a question Alla and Sergi... Was that a painted stamped pattern originally in the front entrance room? Can you make a new lino stamp to kind of honour what was there... maybe in another room. The bathroom mural is so beautiful! 🦚
We noticed the amount of effort they put into these walls, but we didn't like the result or the style. I don't think we would have spent so much time on it.
Anyone who has done reno projects knows about stages, making comments like that shows their ignorance, we are here for the duration and to see your journey.❤❤❤❤
So glad you didn´t go for orange on the walls. Orange and yellow are the worst colors people can use in interior decorating, looks and feel so cheap, (my opinion). It will look wonderful with light grey murals. Happy New Year to both of you.
Just seeing your other rooms renovated should motivate you to continue getting all your rooms done. Can you not put your wood burners in place so the rooms will be warm when you are working on them? I'm not being critical Alla it's just a suggestion so you will be more comfortable when you are working. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Grey and yellow go well together. A very fresh look.

The cabinet in the hallway couldd be a nice vestiare, a coat rack and shoe rack inside for example, and some light on the inside. it is just an idea.

Lots of mirrors to reflect the light ?😊
Yes, exactly
Your New Year's resolution could be to tidy your work space and storage. 😂😂
Next year
Yes, a large mirror opposite the window with a half-round table beneath it! (Like mine!)🌲
Merry. Christmas to both of you. I like the dental work 😁
Sergi and Alla
My husband always would turn a sewing machine base into a bathroom sink base …
I actually have one in my home right now …
I want to use it as a base for routing table.

Where is Cotig's studio?
As we don't have any guests - in a guests bedroom.
Have you decided what you’re using for skirting boards between your floor and Bottom of the wall? Thank you!
12*2 cm Fir wood prepared on routing table.
Your floors are lovely but must be very cold in winter, lots of comfy rugs needed, are you putting down at carpet anywhere? X
We even have a couple of old carpets - but now it's too dirty and unfinished to use them.
@sergio.i that makes sense Sergi. Italy is a beautiful country. X
😊😊😊

I only have ver see 1 fireplace burning. Is that the only heat you have?
We have a second fireplace and electric warm floors. Warms floors are turned off to save on electricity. 😅
Yes. Finish things. Seriously
Exactly what we are doing.
❤😂🇨🇦
