I have never watched a Christian movie with so much anger towards a character in the movie. But this is a great lesson especially to women. Submit o, but be wise. God, Himself is Wisdom. He said ask for it and He will give it liberally. Thanks cast and crew. I was blessed.
My appreciation goes out to the entire crew, thank you brethren for the message portrayed. There's a lesson for all of us to learn as a Body of Christ and indeed I've been blessed! At 22:34 when the pastor heard about the lady's predicament (her husband beating her, him not carrying out his responsibilities as the head of the family, etc), he immediately took action by summoning the brother to his office, yet he (the pastor) couldn't take a moment to reflect on his own home, how he beats the wife and neglects his responsibilities as a man in the home and change to set a role model for his family and church! How pathetic is that? Mat. 7:5 says for us to first take care of the beam in our own eyes before we remove it from someone else's. And when we do that we prove that we practice what we preach and are not hypocrites! Unfortunately most people (pastors, reverend, deacons etc) in high & influencial places tend to think they are exempted from fulfilling the Law, meaning they preach it to others but they themselves feel that they aren't obligated to obey it. No wonder that preacher's own home was falling apart! Imagine even his wife tried to reason with him on not spending what they don't have on the convention but he wouldn't listen, instead in pride he began to quote Scriptures that she needed to submit to him since he owned her and everything they have through her sweat, like it was he and not God who had blessed them with everything they had! What a lie, in pride he was twisting the Scripture to feed his ego, greed & appetite and that is nothing but a recipe for disaster for pride goes before the fall (Prov. 16:18)! He wanted the convention to be soooo big in order to please the guest speakers and attain all glory to himself, no wonder he had had a hard time trying to come up with the money for obviously God wasn't and cannot be dragged into such, remember He will not share His glory with another (Isaiah 42:8). Brethren, let's be careful not to fulfil the lusts of the flesh as these will only lead us to sin and sin as we know when it's fully grown (and unrepented) leads to death, so whatever we do, let's do it for the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31)!
Mrs Adunade really thrills me. She is a typical African church-woman. She has an overflowing respect for the man-of-God. Each of her words is accompanied by bending, kneeling down or almost kneeling down before the man-of-God. A typical African church-woman calls the man-of-God "daddy" and his wife "mummy". I remember the first time I called my pastor's wife "mummy" here in London I was made to look like a "bush-man" but I refuse to change - I enjoy being a bush-man in that regard! (laughter)
Thanks for posting this movie. In the movie the wife is still alive but I lost my sister who went through a lot just for marrying the wrong person. Please brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ take your time to search and find God's will for your marriage before saying I DO.May the Lord Jesus Christ delivers those who are suffering in their marriage.
This was difficult for me to watch because I know of cases like this. It is so painful for a woman who is the bread-winner to be maltreated verbally and physically by the same man she is an efficient help-meet to!! She should not have hidden her abuse till she almost died though. Early exposure is the best treatment for domestic abuse. Kudos to Pastor Okeowo and Sis Deola for interpreting their roles so well🤗💞
You are here commenting on Christian movies but you are an EXPERT at raining curses and abuses on anyone that contradicts you on Punch and Vanguard Newspapers page. Many shall say unto Jesus Christ in that day: "....have we not prophesied in thy name...".

I could not believe this pastor's wife can cool down like this, because all her movies i watched she is not cool like this ooooo she is fire. seeing her with another cast omg am just laughing..... if not, the pastor won't even have the gut to talk to look at her eyes.
This movie is head on point. Aya🔥🔥 These are salient issues eating up the body of Christ. God bless the crew for opening our eyes to this. I pray God help us to repent and make amends.
True. That's why people like you and me have got to live out the Bible to the public so that by our good fruits they will know that we're Christ's followers and not wolves in sheep's clothing (Mat. 7:15-20).
unfortunately this is the sad reality of most married women.....suffering and smiling...all in the name of submission..when the same Bible clearly says submit one to another...
@@IfedayoBanjo so that men can have freedom to do whatever they will in the name of 'wife submitting' to them! But woe unto them that twist the Scriptures to their own advantage, let not such think God isn't watching them...
This drama/movie was well acted but the end was not biblical. There was no consequence for all the maltreatments the pastor did to his wife. Agreed the wife must forgive and God will also forgive him but he shouldn't be treated with a kid's glove. This movie may encourage some pastors to misbehave with the intention to ask for forgiveness later. Even King David, the man God said was after His heart paid for the consequence of his actions. Nobody can pay for their sin, Jesus Christ already paid it all. The pastor suppose to confess before the elders of the church then step down. He is not fit to lead a congregation. Just mere saying sorry is not enough...
Thank you ooo...that's what africans have subjected women and marriage to...women suffer smile in marriage..I was actually smh when I was watching....you comments make perfectsense.
I totally agree that the pastor should step down as a warning to others who are still walking the same path secretly. This reminds me of 1 Timothy 5:20 which says, "But those who persist in sin should be rebuked in front of everyone, so that the others will stand in fear of sin". I love the Bible (our life's manual as Believers). Really if only we could pay close attention to what it says and seek to do all that is in it (Joshua 1:8), we would indeed lead a victorious life over sin!
Good storyline but I believe in trying to convey a good message, Christian movies should not use offensive or vulgar language not fit for Kingdom believers. Please see the language used at 1:20:54 of the movie. That is the common feature that I have noticed in Christian movies today. Please can we refrain from swearing. It is discouraging to watch because our language should not be ungodly even if we are trying to act like the world. We are the light of the world, so we should show it even in our movies. We ought to be different.
how nice and wonderful it would be if this how women can just apologize for their wrong doings in marriage and their husband would forgive and embrace them
Not enough ! He should step aside from being a servant of God and be disciplined, find God s face,be reconciled back to the path cos he has list it long, long time ago...
Thank God this is a movie. It can’t be real. Christianity does not make us to be a mumu. This Rev or whatever it is went too far. I couldn’t finish watching the movie
The woman was quite too silent. Absorbing everything even when it was straining & draining her. We should learn to speak up, have good people around who can advise and counsel in the right way. Don't die in silence. Even God does not support it
Is this man a master and the wife a slave? This woman allowed herself to be turned into a fool.. this is not a child of God talkless of being a servant of God.. tufiakwa!!!
Wow! I don't like this movie at all. What is the lesson or message here? This is beyond abuse. That man needs to repent before the whole church and step down. Needs to seriously seek the face of God and make amends with the wife. Plus major counseling.

Great acting and movie! So hard to see Pastor's wife go through all this and yes we must forgive as God our Father forgives us.

This is a revelation of what happens in most Ministers home.

The attitude of this ‘daddy’ is more than EVIL. Very wicked! Thank God it’s just a movie
The sad truth is that there is more hypocrisy in the Church than there is outside. But God is God he changeth not

The church conveniently omits that "submit one to another" part too often.
