- This is a beautiful vintage concert of Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty hosted by Komal Nishad. This was a morning concert organized on 21st November, 1999. Panditji started his recital with Raag Bhairav and continued on to perform Raag Charukeshi. The concert was in two parts and the second part was opened with Raag Vrindavani Sarang followed with Raag Jogiya Kalingda. All parts of the concert have been uploaded.

Komal Nishad is a charitable organization operating out of Vadodara, Gujarat. We have been organizing hindustani classical music recitals for over 30 years now. We try to bring the best artists of Hindustani Classical Music to our audiences in Vadodara, and now to the world, through TH-cam. All our concerts are ticketless, as we think, classical music should be brought to the masses, and if it is a ticketed concert, it wouldn't reach as many people who love art in this form.

I'm so glad I came across this concert because concerts in bhairav aren't that common as other ragas, and I've an unusual obsession with this raag. I'm thankful to you for all the concert recordings, and I wish you continue to post concerts of raag bhairav.

Hello Abhisek ji, we aim at posting one full concert every Saturday. Ajoy ji has performed for Komal Nishad multiple times. We will surely be posting more concerts of Panditji soon.
Early this morning I had an opportunity to revisit the first half of this concert. This is one of the better Bhairav renditions which I had heard from Ajay-ji. Charukeshi, which is generally heard on instruments, was also enjoyable. The second part of the concert I have saved for another day during mid morning. Thank you again for the uploads. Incidentally, I was sort of out of circulation for a couple of months and need to catch up with the various weekly uploads which you have very kindly shared for listeners🙏
