Ah, I thought she'd just put some glass in a chest while I was distracted. There was so much grey stained glass floating around by the end it was hard to keep track who she got.
I THOUGHT so! I even mentioned it on her last episode, but then wondered if Tango and Skizz counted as two because she put glass in a chest they shared.
I thought one of them had been edited out for time/because it wasn't very interesting

Task/Secret Suggestion: Make up a fake word and insert it into a conversation without anyone noticing or asking about it. It'd be a very chobblesome task that's for sure.

Something I really like about these tasks is that they tend to overlap far more than I'd expect. Someone suggested a task to remove torches, and someone else a task to have an imaginary friend. It just so happened Tango decided to make his imaginary friend Torchy framing him for someone elses task. This is a really fun gimmick!
Task suggestion:
You have to spend half the session playing in third person.
I guess the time has to be balanced somewhat so that the average player would lose around 10 extra hearts in that time.

Task Recommendation: Rename 20 animals to "Grian" without being caught or called out

Maybe a hard Variant: rename one Warden/Ravager/2Endermen with the Name of a Participant in this series, or an obviously derived name (for example Grain etc.)
I watched Scott's POV first, and I remember thinking "why are they collecting end stuff?" But dismissing it. Gem did great at passing it off as good defense for the season
Ghast tears may be useless for regen, but they’d still be useable as a formidable weapon in the form of an end crystal.
Task idea: get Etho to answer 5 Naruto related questions. When you're done, drop a log in front of him, yell out "substitution jutsu!", then run away.
Task idea - Build a minigame that is completely unrelated to decked out and name it decked out

I feel like there's a bit too many of these "without anyone calling you out" tasks... It just takes one person to make you insta fail

Hard task suggestion: Get somebody other than yourself to wear a curse of binding pumpkin by any means possible
That's so evil😅 I think the only way to do it would be to get someone with a despenser without them noticing you
That doesn't seem very hard: just use a dispenser and get them when they have their back turned.
@@Vares65Keep in mind that getting Curse of Binding is part of that task, the only people who have villagers (at least as far as I know) that could be made into Librarians for Curse of Binding are Gem and the Scotts

I mean...skeleton horse and pumpkin for a head in my mind isn't *that* far removed from cottage-core. There's something about the Headless Horseman and Sleepy Hollow that feels like a horror-cottage-core, kinda cosy in the same way. So...still fits for Gem! xD

I mean Lizzie literally traded ancient debris for orange dye so.
Tbh if any life season was gonna implement the end, this one seems the most fitting. The higher player fragility even with the 30 hearts along with everyone being a little more off thansk to the secret tasks allows the end to be this looking thing slowly building in the background. And only requiring you to open it adds to the tension: because now it’s only a matter of when.
Maybe the final battle will be there, alongside the dragon. But with world border cutting off end cities, no real benefit killing the dragon. The xp for enchants is nice but too risky.

@@dustinjoosen5901they could have the datapack that adds the elytra to the dragon's drops. Also theoretically the end gateways should teleport you past the border anyway. (No idea how they interact with the border if it were to exist in the end.)
But also to be considered: they have no regen outside of tasks and elytra cause so much damage between the chip damage from running into things/landing, the big hits of kinetic energy and breaking mid flight, and most importantly the sacrifice of your chestplate. Elytra may not be worth it with such a small world border and the mechanics of this season. (Between the increased damage and highly visible transportation, but on the other hand they make for a rapid escape)

for future reference, you can also use splash water bottles to put yourself out in the nether

Never thought the end was enabled in this series.
But there was always the border so it might be the first time it's inside.
Grian had specified in his first episode he specifically asked for the end to be within the world border

I'm thinking the Mods knew where it was and filled all the slots except one to make the task Hard, but not *really* hard.
@@iloveowls90 True in previous seasons there was no end portal inside the world border, but for this season specifically Grian has stated that he requested the seed and worldborder to have the end portal within the confines.
I knew the skinchange was coming...Im a lil bummed that Gem didnt also put on an 80's glam rock skin, but I also like that shes sticking true to herself. She is just gem. And she is a 10.
Secret task idea: convince everyone you've failed your task
If you fail your task and then tell people you failed your task, then haven't you completed your task? 🤔

Seems easy, just tell them you failed. People seem to believe it.
Issue with this: People always ask what the task was. It'd be super easy for the yellows to figure out what your task is if you keep going "I failed" and don't elaborate.
I can't believe people aren't putting feather falling on their boots immediately. Its the cause of about 90% of the heart loss on this series lol.
Scott on yellow life seems like it would be really dangerous! He loves trying to figure out everyone else's secret. 😅
I am hoping more people start going for hard tasks in general because 1. it's content for us, and 2. you can get a LOT out of them if you succeed.
An 11-eye portal? Gem got really lucky this episode.
Im pretty sure that grian specifically said in his first episode that the stronghold was custom put there by whoever setup the map for them, so I assume they also made it an 11-eye portal to make it a bit easier
Why is it lucky? I’m not very knowledgeable on end portals.
@@SamdelWood when end portals generate, each portal frame has a 10% chance to generate with an eye in it, so there's a good chance that there's at least a few eyes in the portal already, but its unlikely to have more than about four eyes in it. According to the minecraft wiki, the odds of a naturally generated stronghold portal having 11 eyes in it is about 1 in 9 billion, thus why I said in my reply above that its likely that the portal was specifically configured to be an 11-eye to make it easier for whoever gets the "open the end" task

Task idea: Get a music disc whatever way possible, and ensure every member of the server hears the song it plays via a jukebox.
Task recommendation: The player has to try and convice a random player to marry them and the whole server has to show up to the ceremony. (this would probably be a hard task)
What if Joel or Lizzie got it though?

OMG THIS IS ALL SO PERFECT, THE MOMENT GEM OPENED THE PORTAL WAS EXACTLY WHEN GRIAN WAS TALKING TO MUMBO AND THE OTHERS IN THE COURTROOM
and you just have to watch their point of view to know why that's so perfect.
OH i love this series! Especially the secret task part, everybody behaves so whacky and it makes me want to watch EVERYbodies videos just to confirm suspicions or see favorite parts from absolutely everyones perspective. Most addictive Life season ever, so much fun!
Task suggestion: Perform a musical number with at least 2 other players.

Place a random blocks (atleast 10 blocks) when having a conversation with someone without them questioning it. If they question it then you have to find someone else
Secret ideas:
- get 3 people to go to the nether
- get somebody to gift you a valuable item
- get someone to stay in your house for 10 minutes
Would be such a power move to kill the ender dragon next session

Physically impossible and, more importantly, just not very fun as either a player or a viewer.
Watching all the other perspectives hearing the portal sound is great. I especially like Grians perspective when the portal sound went off.
I love how when gemmitay oppened the portal on the opposite end of the map grain just so happened to sentence mumbo to faing his task at the exact same time
Gem little tip I learned a long time ago, you can waterlog things in the nether so if you make the floor out of slabs you can just stand in water. Something people don’t normally take advantage of because it’s not worth it but i think it might be in this series.

So excited about these new series! A task suggestion: convince 3 people to eat/drink suspicious soup!
Task idea: for an entire session, only eat soup (Mushroom stew, beetroot soup, suspicious stew (and rabbit stew))
Possible red-life hard task suggestion: Get someone with more than 20 hearts to die to a cactus. It doesn’t matter what leads up to it so long as the death message is from a cactus.
Task Idea:
Beat the dragon. Respawn it if you have to. Convince others to join you if you want but you cannot be called out.
Paper clip challenge. Start with dirt and try to trade up into better things until you get diamonds.

Task suggestion:
Give 3 people a diamond and convince them that its a thank you for a favour that they didnt do in the first place. If you get called out or if they give you the diamond back then you have to start again.
Now that i think about it its kinda a hard task lol

Task suggestion: follow and repeat a player’s words for 10 minutes. Another suggestion is to prank someone with something life threatening, while making sure they don’t lose any hearts.
Task Recommendation (Hard): Make someone fail their task. When completing it, both players will get the finish reward.
* Task idea: Swap out someone's furnace fuel source for a non-flammable material and successfully convince them they can smelt with it
You can't put non fuel items in the fuel slot of a furnace.
In bedrock you can use gold nuggets as a fuel source for some reason - convince them that got ported to Java with one of the parity updates.
The Secret Keeper has some agenda. Accept your Fate huh.

She didn't seem to hear it the first time so I don't think it counts
hard task idea: try to figure out someone's task (who hasn't completed it yet) and finish it before them. If you finish it before them they have to fail the task or reroll for a harder one
I think this would be unjust to the other player.

Task Idea: Integrate 10 honeyblocks into your design for a build and have no one discuss it
Gems style is so cluttered I think she can manage this without anyone questioning it

Imagine Bdubs getting his task in session 4 before Gemini completed this task. That would have been truly impossible.

@@matiasgarciacasas558 yeah, after watching more videos I realize that the tasks are reviewed and assigned by someone behind the scenes. I thought the tasks were totally random initially, but they are making sure the tasks are doable.
Task idea: Submit this task without anyone watching, following, or questioning your journey to the secret keeper
Feather falling will be awesome when you put that on your boots
Task suggestion: Build a minigame arena, with at least 1 playable minigame, for everyone to use. Also an option to add for a harder task, or as its own task once the arena is built: convince at least 2 people to settle a disagreement/dispute using the minigame(s).
7:10 Heads up, THE GHAST TEARS ARE NOT USELESS! They're used for crafting ender crystals, which are insane damage, making them extremely valuable. (granted, you'd likely take at least SOME damage trying to actively use them in a fight, but you could definitely set a trap or something, at least.)

Task Ideas : 1. You have to get everyone on the server to say their name, without you telling them to say their name. 2. You must steal something valuable from 6 players' houses, while their in their house, without getting caught. 3. Chose a player and constanly tell them horrible puns/jokes for 30 mins of the session straight without them questioning you. ❤
Honestly, wearing a pumpkin for an entire session or at least half a session could be a good easy task!

Task ideas
1: place powdered snow directly under other players or directly in their path. Rescue them from fire or fall damage for extra loot. Must be done with at least five players.
2: convince another player that a low end item is of much greater value than is thought. Don't get called out.
3: get called out by a yellow for a fake task at least three times. Every time after gets you a bit more loot. However, you must avoid being called out by a green or red.
You can use trapdoors to align yourself with the center of the cauldron to make it much easier to get in

Task idea: give someone a flower, and have them give you something back (without directly asking)
Task recommendation: Follow a yellow player around for 10 min without them guessing your task
Here're two task ideas:
1. Don't walk this session. You can ride, boat or hop, but you can't walk.
2. Pretend you're sick, and Keralis is (secretly) filling in for you. At least one hermit must ask you if you're Keralis. (Making another hermit refer to you as Keralis counts.)
Task idea: have at least 5 people to believe that you are in danger when you really aren't
Next week is Scott's Birthday on November 10th. Are you and Impulse gonna give him a party in Secret Life session 4?

1. Give 3 players a gift then ask for it back
2. Gather at least 6 people to The secret keeper, convince them you failed, just to succeed
3. Take on a tour around the whole mapp
4. Get caught spying on someone 3 times
5. Ask someone the same question 3 times in a session
6. Complete 3 purple Minecraft advancements
7. Remove the back of grians base
8. Avoid being in a conversation with for an hour

Steal a mob from someone’s base, and settle it in PearlescentMoon’s base upside-down, without being called out.
Pretend to be obsessed with the new 1.21 additions coming to Minecraft for 10 minutes.
Stay above land for 30 minutes. (Cannot be afk for more than 1 minute).
Withstand an entire session without equipping armor.
Her task last session was to fill 4 people inventory/chest with grey stained glass, but she only did it to jimmy and one other person.(she thought one was enough)
I think she did it to Jimmy, Lizzie, and mentioned Pearl (wasn’t shown) so that was 3. Unsure how the chest factors in
