I haven’t looked into it myself, but I faced the same villager problems. From what I’ve been told all platforms have this issue. When you reload a chunk there’s a random chance the villagers will yeet themselves into the oblivion (they teleport). I had a very similar world I decided to use creative in since I had every farm, all I had left to do was build up my village. It broke me having to spend all my time getting my villagers and animals back.

Hey! New viewer here! Idk if you’ve fixed yet as im commenting this as I watch. The villagers can’t use the island at all. Sometimes the villager ai accidentally goes over a corner and falls. Without a block at water level, not even a slab above, they can’t get back up!
