I’m French and I bought this cd randomly in July 2000 and I’m still have it. I’m feeling kind of happy that other people love this beat and Roots voice on it 👍✌️because never met somebody who knows this album
yo I remember when I first started smoking around 13 my cousin and I would workout and blaze it and bump this jam that was back in 08 or 09 lol good times.
@aus5892 If you can find the VINYL version of Back To Mine, it is not blended. It's just the original in super high quality audio from start to finish.
No, it isn't. It was long since recorded, mixed and walked round the record shops. Groove Armada put it on a mix/compilation album 3 or 4 years later. No remix involved - just cueing in the vinyl. Not that their selection skills weren't top notch, of course.
@@TheSocaCasual Yeah fair enough, If this is not a remix though then Motion 5000 is a remix or re-recording of this track. When I came across this song all them years ago it was listed as a Groove Armada track and that was fair to assume as Manuva was appearing on many different Dance producer tracks at the time. I see now it was just compiled by Groove Armada. Eitherway, great track. Best version, although the strings in motion 5000 are gorgeous.
It was produced by Roots Manuva. Groove Armada just included it on their Back To Mine compilation album. It was originally released as a single on Sound of Money Records in 1995.

I was always under the impression that it's a remix of Motion 5000 by groove armada. It's definitely a remix, "Strings, trills, legato..."
