i heard that in deeeeeeeeep delve you get integer overflow darkness damage which makes you take no damage at all
@@xxseesxx9234 Things like that I don't find very impressive because the fix is so obvious. You should be able to code in a clamp logic if integers get too high, if a single person working on amateur projects can think of that... well, I guess they can say it's part of business, no point in coding stuff that only 1 player or 2 will ever see, but still.
@@zeriel9148 They likely did put in a clamp, (to somewhere very close to 0, or actually 0 is my guess), as otherwise I'd have expected a negative reduced number with adorned equipped in that valdo map! (And negative scale can be .... interesting :) )
@@zeriel9148 you are aware that integer overflow or underflow is an operator to language to hardware implementation problem usually controlled for the entire game via strong typing. Changing to a double or IEE754 representation has gigantic modeling and service performance consequences. Even if you take a double it can eventually overflow as well particularly on unexpected supra linear growth scales. A developer who can't modify base engine management like PoE 2 doesn't have a lot of solutions to the overflow/underflow is actually more likely without IEE754 except default to a set value.

Aberrath Hooves boots cause small explosions on *step* and the smaller the character the more steps it makes.
I would love to see Abberath's Hooves with that one pixel character size, i wonder how many footsteps you actually take
I would assume that since your size does not scale your movement speed, number of footsteps is probably the same regardless of size. Could be wrong though.

@@ethanlarge3572 I don't think so, you can see from the animations and his footprint mtx's that the steps for a small character are much more frequent. And abberaths hooves' mechanic does track actual steps, it's not just a function of movement speed.
I remember there was an obscure tech that involved spamming weapon swap to stutter your character's walking animation and generate more explosions with abberaths hooves.

this needs Abberath's hooves. it scales the damage since it hits on every step and you take more steps for the same amount of distance.
My eyes is so bad that if I don't use my glasses watching this video, there is no character on the screen.
Hard to do, maybe in PVP, but it would be awesome to test hitbox detection

What you need here is that and a butt load of movement speed :D
Today we have learned that Character Size is additive and it will stop loading your character model at 100% reduced Character Size. PoE is truly one of the games ever.
That is because the modifier is reduced character size, rather than less character size. This is the same reason why reduced damage taken effects (like resistance) are so strong.
we knew this already. as stated above, it says it. also, the inverse of this was already done. GGG capped player size shortly after. not because of the project or memes, but for visibility with soul eater ect

That would be death walk from bubonic trail boots. ( the boots providing 2 abyssal sockets)
Isnt there a skill that triggers on stepping? does size affect that?
If so I wonder how that plus movement speed would go :P
Abberath's Hooves unique boots do something like that.
The boots @surge235 talked about do scale dps with movement speed, a long while back there was a build that used them.
It doesn’t seem like the number of steps you take increase as your size decreases? It’s kinda hard to tell. My guess who be that step frequency depends only on movement speed, since character size mods are so uncommon and I doubt they would make the system more complicated just because of them.
@@ethanlarge3572 I agree with that since we can see the death walk or whatever it's called on the abyss boots, doesn't go any faster.

No calculations in poe are rounded down, therefor 2.5% would just turn into 2% instead.
