@AzariahPage have not watched Moana 2. Just frim the trailers, it seems the story is a repeat of the 1st one. Same feeling I had after watching How to Train You Dragon 2 - forgettable. HTTYD 3 is even worst, half way thru' the movie I already knew his mom was the independent woman leader of the dragons.
I just got back home from watching this movie. From listening to you and others I thought it was going to stink, but I was wrong, it is better than what you and others have said. @ZanderHanna I'm not a fan of You're Welcome either, except part of it (not the rapping part) can get stuck in my head. I don't like rap and it doesn't belong in an ancient Hawaiian themed movie.
Box office numbers can be manipulated. Hollywood does this all the time.
Numbers don't lie
@@animezilla4486 Dude this was originally made for Disney + so lets ask them how much did it cost to make into a movie. Do you think Disney will give you the exact "Numbers" or to the share holders should they ask for it? The answer is a decisively no way in hell.
@gideondejongh838 yeah I don't think Disney is going to release the information about the numbers 4 days movie but I can tell you that they are very happy with the numbers is it going up for the movie
why would they lie its bad bossiness for disney.. you need to know numbers so you know if a movie makes a profit.. if moana 2 flops that be end the series
With all these damn sequels can they hurry up with ‘the walt disney company 2’
If my daughter and wife are any indications, it wouldnt seem so. They have heard the movie stinks and have no plans on seeing it. Now, my daughter always wants to go to the movies, so she will probably end up seeing it with friends, its how teens are. No matter what happens they have ruined the franchise, either people will see it and it sucks, so they wont care next time, or they will hear that it sucks and wont care next time.
My 9 and 11 year old daughters, as well as my wife and I, enjoyed it. It doesn't suck. I completely disagree with WDW's take. Yes, he has valid points in his review, but he's being way too harsh on a kids movie. We all saw the flaws in the movie, and STILL enjoyed it.
@@scotttrogersI agree with you
Both my wife and daughter fell asleep during this movie
Yes it can make a billion....a drowning man will grab a stone and a starving man will eat dirt.
Pro, some of your members are crazy rude for no reason.
Just like voting for presidents
Unfortunately, there are many morons that will blindly consume Disney slop.
Just because they like stuff that you don't doesn't make them morons
@@animezilla4486 no, they are morons. Consume, don't ask questions, consume.
I know exactly what you mean.
Well I haven't seen it so I can't comment on the quality of this film, but the question if something can suck and still make a billion dollars at the box office, dare I mentioned Transformers 3 and 4 and Fast and Furious 8 and Star Wars episode 8 and 9 just to name a few?
Let me guess, Mufasa will make a billion as well?
It's a possibility only time will tell
It certainly wouldn’t be the worst movie to make $1 billion just look at any of the Despicable Me movies that have grossed that much but in my opinion the worst movie to cross the billion dollar threshold was Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger tides that movie is a turd 💩 sandwich and it still crossed the 10 figure Mark
It's frustrating how can transformer one good movie flop but mediocre film Moana 2 making money you know this is what Disney will do have asses movies not care about Quality.
like Star Wars
It is kind of like "How to Train a Dragon". The sequel was a meh.
What are you talking about how to train your Dragon 2 is a significantly better film and a sequel than Moana 2 and had a lot more effort put into it it may not have the bigger box office, but it is certainly a better film than Moana 2
@AzariahPage have not watched Moana 2. Just frim the trailers, it seems the story is a repeat of the 1st one. Same feeling I had after watching How to Train You Dragon 2 - forgettable.
I am not saying the animation is bad. It is just the story is kind of predictable. HTTYD 3 is even worst, half way thru' the movie I already knew his mom was the independent woman leader of the dragons.
Nor going to xerox it the theaters
I just got back home from watching this movie. From listening to you and others I thought it was going to stink, but I was wrong, it is better than what you and others have said. I would say it is average which makes it better than poor. It isnt close to the original but it is not as bad as you say it is either. I like the 5 point scale better than the 10 and on a 5 point scale it would be a 3. Which by default doubling the points it would be a 6 on a 10 point scale. This it isnt it would be a 5 if I had to use a 10 point scale.
Moana is the disney version of minions. 💩, but makes $$.
Can Moana 2 suck and still break a billion dollars? Well, Inside Out 2 did.
Everyone loved inside out 2. Even these ppl in the channel said it was beautiful like the first
At this point all it has to do is not suck. This is the principle of diminishing return in effect

I don't think there's nothing to worry about
This guy seems like he looks for reasons to crap on Disney projects . Regardless of how they are received by the public , which is all that matters in the long run to Disney .
It’s obviously going to make crazy money… kids don’t have taste in movie 🤣 if it was up to my daughter we’d watch super kitties all day , she’s never heard of the sopranos.
Maybe it's the anti war message in the move.
wrong again and can’t accept it
i dont know if i ever went to the kids movies and ever picked the movie for them lol.. people need to know the minds of adults and childern are different, i didn;t like it but I'm not meant to cause truthfully Im into war and action flicks not cartoons lol
on Friday I'll find out if this movie sucks as much as people think it does
the movie only needs to hit 600 million not a billion.. to be a success stop think every movie needs to make a billion to make money, it depends on the budget
Inside out 2 - 1.7 billion
Dead pool 3- 1.3 billion
Moana 2. - 389 million in 1 week
Lol Disney winning the haters keep crying cant wait for Avengers 2025
@@reddogqb123 you make a fair point

I liked mona 1 a lot but i had a few porblems such as the sea monsters we see them only as waves only on the oceans they do NOT go after moana in any way despite granny stating becareful of them and beware cause they spread darkness...the other besides the coconuts not a real foe after her all she doing is sailing thats it no real threat at all except the coconuts.
It's good
I feel like I am one of the only people who didn't care for the first moana movie.
What we have here is a textbook "Captain Marvel situation"
You get a bad Disney movie that gets to a billion dollar our higher gross world wide you get some thing like wreck it Ralph 2 Ralph breaks the net ext.
Poopy part two… What the what…
Well.. it doesn’t suck. So ya, it could break 1 billion.
@@nate_riggins_photography Get higher standards.
Have we forgotten what Disney did to Star Wars? Everyone knew the sequel trilogy was bad, but it made lots and lots of $$$. If Disney has an IP with a fan base, they will milk it dry.
It made lots of money in the short-term, but probably cost Disney money in the long term due to the brand damage.
@@khawk9958that makes no sense at all brand damage excuse doesn't work anymore you honestly believe that it's going to cost some money in the long-term I seriously doubt that
@@animezilla4486 In general, Disney makes less money (even going in the red) each time they release a new film/show. Not to mention non-Grogu merchandize sells quite poorly.
If Disney had bought Star Wars and only made toys, they would probably have a higher net profit now.
Moana 2 may not have been woke but it was still just another cash grab and girlboss film containing a weak, fainting male character. The storyline, which you can read about on Wikipedia if you haven't seen the movie, was strange. The music is good, except Get Lost and Can I Get a Chee Hoo were stupid along with the portion of rap in What Could Be Better Than This?
No male character was weak and how is this a girl boss movie
It’s actually a good film. Looking forward to what comes next, based on the mid credit scene. Not every one shares your view. I personally think your channel sucks, but I also understand that not everyone feels the same way.
It wasn't good, my kids wanted to leave early and I couldn't get a refund, either. /:
