- Did you ever want to run trains automatically without to much complexity or extravagant hardware/software hassle? Maybe a time delay relay circuit is all you need! Join me as I show you the solution that I use to run multiple trains on the same track sections using modified MTH Infrared Track Activation Devices...

Awesome video friend
Thanks! Model trains have so many opportunities for learning how to do things. It was fun to figure out some things I didn't know how to do, and bring the whole project together in the end.
I like the workmanship, The idea of using bridge rectifers as resistors is very novel and you have easy to change voltage stall points. I generally use a 300 ohm adjustable voltage resistor resistor fcr the same purpose however moving the center tap is not so easy. Maybe an adjustable wound dial rheostat would also work , maybe 3-7 amp, 300 ohm rating, It should not be to hard to find on the internet
Just seeing this. So I never have to adjust the stall voltages, even though I have that option, as long as I set it at 18v…but I have that option if needed.
I did this before MTH Proto 2 . When the boards were 5 volts I ended up using diodes between electronics and board to drop voltage to stall train and not lose board. The 3 volt boards no problem. Mine was done with Depotronics.
That’s interesting! More then one way to make this work I guess. I have started using timing relays since the ITADs are getting hard to find.
Wow so amazing
Awesome thanks
Very interesting, I had to turn off the screen and just listen to the audio, however, I was gettin woozy from the camera movement.
I isolate my track with matchbook cardboard. Save me killing a good chunk of track. 😊
Cool, but complicated.
It’s not that bad at all. Same concept over and over…
