I did this trek in April 2023, if you are planning to just experience snow I must recommend you to go after Feb or Mar, I don't want you to get stuck there in peak winters. You will definitely find snow in Mar or maybe sometimes April as well.

Hi Chitra, its April 2023.
I completed this trek in december, also had a bath in lake when it was freezing. I went from Ghera to kareri village on foot then next day went to lake from village. It was such a beautiful trek. Next time I will bring my own tent & food and will do Minkiani pass trek. Locals near lake are very money minded . Kareri village people are very kind. Although its my personal experience.
"Money minded locals" I've had somewhat same experience, Even though I understand some things needs to be Rs 20-30 higher than usual prices but 200-300 more than that is nonsense.
And Yes, Kareri village people are indeed kind, pious and helping. I am very sure to bring my own tents for next trekking adventure.
@@hikewithlucky Yes , I stayed in a camp. Camp owner gave me a sleeping bag which was in pathetic condition. I asked for blanket as temp was below zero at night and he asked me more money for blanket . he had a lot of spare blankets.
