For anyone wondering, the case Shane was talking about is the shooting of Jeff Doucet. In the mid 80s he was a karate instructor in Louisiana. He kidnapped one of his students, an 11 year old boy, who he had been raping for 2 years. They were found in a hotel in California two weeks after the abduction. When he was flown back to LA to face prosecution, the boy's father, Gary Plauché, wore a disguise, and pretended to use a payphone. When Doucet was escorted past him by police, Plauché Drew a revolver, and shot him in the head, in front of police and a regional news crew. He immediately surrendered, and was charged with first degree murder. He was convicted, but served no time in prison. His sentence was 5 years of probation, and 300 hours of community service. A similar case is currently under investigation in Washington. John Eisenman is charged with the murder of his daughters 20 year old boyfriend, who sold her to a sex trafficking ring. There is a recent video detailing the case on the channel 'Donut Operator'
