I wonder if Lucie Jones grew up listening to and watching Karen Carpenter? She does that lip, side mouth teeth thing. It’s so endearing to watch. Just an observation...as you were.
@@KM-rs5dq when are you going, I think he's starting on the 8th or 9th or September, I doubt he'll be in the show for more that 8 weeks as he's probably only been cast to sell more tickets and make it more popular, he doesn't seem too bad at singing though..🤷♂️
I'm going in January. I'm going to phone tomorrow to see if he'll still be in it then and if he is ill return or sell the tickets. Ticket sales must be abysmal for them to keep pulling celebs rather than trained professionals. I saw the vlog he posted about his audition.... No evidence there that he can sing or act!
I honestly really want to like Blake as Ogie but I just can’t. His vibrato kills my ears. I honestly preferred Jack, even if they lowered the Key for him. Lucie Jones absolutely blew me away though, I’d argue she blew Katharine McPhee out of the water. I think she’s up there with Jessie Mueller and Betsy Wolfe as Jenna.
@@clpt8526 I'd hope he's improved a bit. When I saw him I wasn't impressed, it just gave me the impression that the whole shows just a big joke to him. Can say the same about Ashley roberts too. I'd rather have seen the understudies
Idi ot I went to see it last night the show was amazing and Ashley and Blake where some of the best characters so I think u just need to loosen up waitress is a comedy musical
@@evamclennan4657 I went in with low expectations and came out with lower. Waitress is a comedy musical, but comedy isn't just about being stupid onstage, it's about actual placement, understanding and timing. Laura and Jack, the Dawn and Ogie I saw before, were so much better and much more professional.
Blake is such a nice surprise, fits the role so well. Lucie is undeniably talented but I think everyone already knew that :)
I didn’t know Neil could sing woah
sophie.isabel it's pretty much a given that Actors are trained in musical theatre! Love it
I still don't tbh
Lucie would make a brilliant Mum in everyone's talking about Jamie.
Did not come here expecting to see Neil this just got better
People saying this musical was crap? Were they seeing the same show? I laughed and cried and booked to see the show again for
Blake’s last show 😂
Fran Johnson I saw him on press night and he was brilliant. The whole show is amazing and I’m obsessed now. I cried and laughed the whole way through
His last show was so emotional, a few other cast members was leaving too and Lucie made a speech during bows. Think the whole theatre was crying
best ogie, fight me
Neil should be revising

Lucie can marry me tbh

I love how she made slight changes to she used to be mine and made it her own
