"If you work in yards and fathoms, you'll have to convert it yourself." :D Quality.

Rather than using the saw to reopen the threads, leave a nut on while cutting, removing the nut will reopen the threads without any cutting. Great video. Easy to follow

Brilliant - best one I've seen. Just needs a pivot point on the 'crush head' ?
    Great Job - Thanks

Just found you. Watched you make cardboard bricks to heat my kids house in Maine with my sawdust & cardboard. Now I can make fewer trips to the recycling station in Florida where they believe in Covid about as much as they believe in recycling. Subbed. Ta mate! Cheers

You could also use this as a briquett maker. Nice job.

Hi mate 1 safety aspect I saw. The bench saw with guard over the blade not attached. I do understand this is a DIY project but for your safety only. You may not have a mishap or serious still an accident. But the next person may not be so fortunate. The project was top class. I was brought up with imperial then it was changed to decimal currency. 1 thing I would fit a slightly longer handle & fix it to the wall. Keep up the good work. Cheers

Subbed. Nice work, I'm going to give it a crack. I also enjoyed your briquette maker vid. I tried many methods making briquettes; your design looks superior. Alas, now I live in an urban area to take care of aging In-Laws, so no more briquettes.

I'm a big 3d printer, I've been designing different can crushers for the past month and printing prototypes. All have failed at pivot points. No matter how much infill or walls I used. I'm going to design this one for printing and try it out. I believe you have made the crusher I've long been searching for. I'll come back when it's finished and send you a link to the final results.

The crushing plate needs to start the crushing cycle at a slight angle so it acts on one edge of the can top first to start the crush its too strong if you try to push it down with a flat plate ..... hope this helps

What Totally Chilled said is true, maybe introduce a bit of twisting force to overcome the stability wich comes if you just want to crush it straight down.
Dont only push on them, that wont work with PLA, maybe youve got more luck with Nylon or ABS.

@@TotallyChilled I have a steel wall mounted crusher I bought some years ago. I have always pushed a dent into the side of the can as I put them in, it reduces the initial force required to get them to collapse. I'm thinking that if you have a protrusion at the rear of the can slot, then as you put the can in it will deform.

Nice job. Wish it was in inches.

Isn't the end of the crusher pushed to an angle when you use it to crush? Maybe put a 20 degree angle on the bars that connect to the end

50 mm is 0.02734 fathoms which is 0.0547 yards or 0.0025 chains

I have built a few of these and I can see a weak point in your handle arrangement. I prefer to keep the handle all as one piece.

Even better I'd make a hole right behind the bit that fits the narrow ended tip of that vacuum. With those pockets you're routing it'd probably suck the board to the table.
