Know whats stupid .. is buying a filter from you guys, getting just the filter without the cartridge and finding out the cartridge can't be taken apart. Awesome!!!
I've seen videos that show you can wash the filter (no soap, only water) and videos showing replacement. What do you recommend? Wash or replace and how often?
My mom had a old rainbow vac and now I have it. this is very old and I as of now cannot get the filter out to change it. It is a little different than the ones you are showing. Where do I get a now hepa filter when I finally release the old one from it's dirty jail. My sister says it works, but because it is soooooo dorty I was afraid to turn it on. hopefully it will all work out perfect.
I have an old e-series like the second one you show in the video and I did what you did prying the cord wrap with the flathead screwdriver, but I should not have done that. This old one has the same bottom tabs like the first one you showed, but I didn’t know it until I did what you demonstrated. Two little pieces broke off. Now the cover will not stay on properly 😩
Appreciate your video. I've been playing for over an hour on removing the filter. E Series Silver/Gold model. Bought in 2005 invoice didn't state any thing per series of rainbow. No screws. No tabs. Weird.... Plus you didn't give close up shots of the tab area....I guess I could use a hammer next...
First, love your videos. I'm having a problem with the head of my vacuum. I cleaned it out an changed the belt but it continues stop working. It gets electric all the way through but it still continues to intermitantly stop working. What do you think can be the issue? Thank you again for your great videos.
Ok what you need to do is take apart the power head and look at all the connections and make sure that they are all attached correctly and tightly. Hope this helps.
READ you are now drawing the air through 5 years of hair , dirt , dust , dander , bug , roach poop plus only God know what else and blowing it back into the room to breath.
@david randall you obviously don't know how the Rainbow works, because none of that stuff even reaches the filter. It is all trapped in the water. You don't even need the HEPA filter on a Rainbow. They just added it in the '90s because all the other vacuum cleaners had them and people expected a good vacuum cleaner to have one.

Is anybody know how to replace E 2 led bulb ? One of myne did not work...
Since the water does such a good job filtering out the dirt, why is a HEPA filter needed?
Never mind. I found the answer in one of your links. It is for ultra-fine particles that may escape the water filtration.

The problem is probably in the trigger.
Where’s the filter??
Thank you! Thank you for making this video. How often should I replace the HEPA Filter?
My unit instructions say yearly at least.
Every 3-4 years. Once a year is not needed.
Bn using mine for 5years. No regrets

Awesome video. Thank you!!!!
For such an expensive vacuum you’d think there should be zero services. Should just work forever.
I don't think this is a good way to remove the filter panel. Doing this, I broke both tabs.
This is how you remove it. Use a soft hand next time.
I'm about to use a hammer on mine. Using gentle vs tough... Mine won't budge...
Nice 👍🏻
This video made me sell a hyla rainbow shit hyla better
