As a Mexican I feel a little offended that they consider her latin, since it's historically impossible, I'm a mexican, I live in mexico, and I know we don't have any princesses or royalty except the spanish royalty, which she is, she can be spanish if you want to make a historic princess, if you want to make fantasyland it's okay, if you say but the music, please, legend of zorro has that music, the only mexican thing I see is that creature that looks alike as one of our mythical creatures, that I can give, aside from that, Elena of Avalor for me, i'ts not latin, is spanish.

Elena of Avalor is not Mexican or Spanish or Venezuelan or from any Latin American country or Spain. She is a combination of all Latin American countries and Spain. They couldn't make her Mexican because then the Colombian kids or from other Latin American countries would not feel represented. So she is everything a mixture Latin and Spanish and what united both? The Spanish language which is why she speaks Spanish also.
