I personally don't like having the camera on my helmet because it's a lot more jumpy with looking around, and also because I don't know how I feel about having something that rigid on my head if I were to go down in a crash. For a while I had the camera on my bike but the vibrations shook the gopro's mount screws loose and it can't be tightened fully anymore 😂
I like the Wahoo but there's definitely room for improvement. Seems like their latest, as well as a trend for the others like Karoo, are larger computers that I don't personally care for. I'd rather have a smaller computer because I'm not into looking at the screen frequently. I think if you can get a good deal on any of them they will serve you well, but I think it would be nice if they were a little more feature rich for the price.
@BrianMcDonald I concur. I'm currently using my cellphone for a bike computer, so I literally have ALL the screen lol. Even being cracked as it is. 🤣 The Karoo is pretty sweet too, but I definitely like the team oriented stuff that Garmin has, for those that might use it.
@BrianMcDonald yeah she is quite chunky. That's for sure, but I think with wahoo you may see them releasing lightened versions as v2 or something. Hopefully anyway
I'm sure if I was utilizing my computer for navigation on a regular basis I'd have a different opinion, but I'm much more in the boat of keeping it similar in functionality while increasing battery life and slimming down when/where possible.
Nice, I think it will be really good for you! I did some tests and I feel like I could race road with it with my 65mm aero road wheels. I use 36cm handlebars for road and gravel so my speeds were very close if not the same as my Cervelo Soloist when I swapped wheels.
@@BrianMcDonald Oh nice! I got the frame for gravel racing so glad to hear that it doesn't feel sluggish or squishy if it compares to a Soloist. I plan on putting some Conti race kings (2.1) for the "gravel" trails out here in cali that are basically mtb singletrack.
I've noticed you often wave at someone on the bridge every time, but it doesn't look like the same person. It's just a funny detail I've noticed when watching enough of these.
It's usually random, but I also do it if I recognize people from previous trips even if they don't recognize me 😂 Occasionally, I do actually know the person lol
So cool. As a guy living in a boring car-dependent city with zero bike infrastructure this video is like a wet dream to me 😂
Wish we all had our own cycling/walking utopias!
Are you using a go pro chest mount?
Yep!
@ nice! I’m new to cycling but I wanna start recording as well. Is the chest mount more viable than helmet or bike mount ? Thanks!

What is the temperature like in this video 50degrees?
32 degrees F for this ride
Question: wahoo, Garmin or Karoo and why? 🤷🏼♂️🤣 Awesome video as usual bro 🤗

Seems like the future will see them get more and more like cell phones with added capabilities and heft, which isn't what I would want personally.

Are you commuting on an Ari Shafer?
@@SandSanta when I got it the brand was still called Fezzari :)
@@BrianMcDonald Nice! I just picked up a shafer frame from a BF sale by Ari. Looking forward to racing on it next year.

@ if you bought the frame, what will you put on it?
