BABYMETAL started about 14 years ago when the girls were just 10 - 12 years old. The level of talent and professionalism is over the top. I suggest BABYMETAL - ROAD OF RESISTANCE, Live in Japan, as it really showcases their crowd control and stage presence. Kitsune dao!
welcome to the foxhole 😁 you only scratched the surface with BabyMetal and definitely get a ticket to see them. You will have so much fun seeing them the best live band , in my opinion . 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Great reactions! Looking forward to more. Babymetal are just the best. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻 And if you have any questions about Babymetal, please feel free to ask. You will get both answers and more lore than you expected. 😂 Babymetal is all about positivity and good vibes. They have darker and sadder songs, that are also great, but one of the many things I love about them is their eternal positivity. They always conduct themselves very responsible and respectful and you will not see them involved in any drama. Kitsunes up! 😎
Great reaction and welcome to Babymetal! These young ladies are 14 year veterans by now 😂. They have an awesome live band (Kami Band) at shows and on tours, incredible vocals, and creative song compositions. In addition, they are 100% a live performance band! They just played Hellfest in France in their massive EU Festival circuit this year. Now they’re playing at SlipKnot’s KnotFest in South America. I’ll be seeing them live in the US in a few weeks! On your format: Double or triple reactions are awesome! However, I suggest splitting the video into 2 or 3 parts to upload. Babymetal’s videos can get a bit wonky with copyright blocks. Look forward to more Babymetal!! Suggestions: *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM):* The full version is amazing too! *Headbanger (Legend 1997):* A taste of classic Babymetal. Dec 2013 show, lead Su-metal’s 16th birthday concert. 🤘🦊
This was a fantastic reaction and the dual vid format was great. Welcome to the Foxhole. You had so many thoughtful observances and comments. Right off the bat you called the studio audio over the live performance in Pa Pa Ya. There is a pro-shot actual live video of this same concert and imo it's way better (as good as the "official" video is). When you see "officail" in the title of a Babymetal live performance the audio is almost or always (I forget) studio over the live performance. I'm sure I won't be the first or last to mention this but Babymetal is legendary for their live performances and you're almost always in for the best time reacting to them live. Babymetal are the biggest musical export Japan has ever had. They go back to 2010-and yeah they were crazy young. Babymetal really paved the way for so many of the great Japanese female bands now making an impact in the West. Again you just did a fantastic job on this and I look forward to more Babymetal. You've got my sub and I've got a suggestion for an absolute fire performance by BM. "Metali, Legend MM, 2024 Live (link follows): th-cam.com/video/fxzaQAFAVl8/w-d-xo.html 🤘🦊🦊🦊🤘
Welcome to the wonderful world of Babymetal Leo! Solid song choices for a first reaction! They consider themselves performers first and recording artists second, the choreography is part of the song and the best way to experience them is live performances. I've seen them live four times now and I'm pretty jealous that Europe gets an arena tour next year! You'll have an amazing time at their show, so enjoy your ride down the fox hole!
Welcome! Babymetal's catalogue is truly worth to check out. These girls have been in the industry for 14 years now and yet they're still relevant. For more babymetal suggestions: - Monochrome Live at PIA Arena 2023 - Road of Resistance Live in Japan 2015
Great reaction! There is no other band like Babymetal and they have been around since 2010 and don’t seem to slow down and having more fun than ever performing live. The One (their fandom) is always going absolutely nuts during their shows since most of their songs have some kind of crowd interaction build into it. Check out Road of Resistance live in Japan next. It is an older performance but displays their crowd control like no other. ❤❤️🤘🦊🔥
Great double first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊They formed in 2010 as a sub-unit of a JPop Idol group set up by the Amuse talent agency to give experience to some of their most talented young girls and they separated from that group to become an independent band in their own right in 2013. There were 3 original members (they were only 12 and 11 years old at the time) and we have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet. BABYMETAL are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and Momometal (in charge of backing vocals, harmonies and mainly hyping and involving the crowd with their choreo). The original third member Yuimetal last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for health reasons until she announced she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band. Momometal, was revealed as the new official third member on 1st April 2023. F Hero was their guest for this song. He is a rapper from Thailand and very well known there, he flew in to Japan specially to perform on those first two nights of the 2019 tour. You were right about that being the studio audio dubbed over the live performance. They do tend to do that a lot for their official videos - which is a shame as the live audio is better. They performed in Bangkok in Thailand last year and F Hero made another special guest appearance. 'PA PA YA' is a summer festival song - and it really is about a spicy green papaya fruit salad. F Hero was rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle. They are pretty much saying that, much like the salad, mixing the right spices into life will make that better too. 'MAYA' was all live, that was from the first night of the BABYMETAL Begins concerts at PIA Arena early April 2023 - at the end of the first night Momometal was revealed as the new third member and she got her microphone on the second night. Maya represents illusion in Hindu (and possibly other eastern mythology) and this song was from their 2023 concept album 'The Other One'. BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before, they brought a fusion of great metal instrumentals coupled with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics to create their very own sub-genre ... and they have continued to develop and evolve from those beginnings. They may be popular, I would not describe them as mainstream if only because they are unique and original. They don't limit themselves to any one main style or genre and you won't be able to pigeonhole or put them in any one box like you can with virtually every other band in the world, they are one of a kind and they invented their own genre and style that nobody has been able to copy successfully (some have tried, none came close) including bringing choreographed dancing to metal (but not as you might know it from pop acts where it is nearly always used just to fill the stage or give you almost naked girls (and boys) to look at to take your mind off often bland music). Moa and Momoko (and originally Yui) are a crucial element to what makes BABYMETAL stand out and different - and the best live entertainment I have had the privilege to enjoy. BABYMETAL's choreo helps with interpreting the song - a lyric or the meaning etc, but it is designed to involve and lead the crowd, to give them their cues when to jump, shout, pump their fists, chant and so on (so yes, dance along, let yourself go - they love to see everybody in their crowds doing that). BABYMETAL are complete masters of crowd control and crowd involvement. They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - the Kami Band of the East are some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They last appeared for the concerts in January 2023. Later in 2019 after the concerts where 'PA PA YA' was filmed the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) were introduced to support BABYMETAL on their more extended foreign tours. They have been ever present since April 2023. They have nearly 70 songs now, every one of them is different from the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal, often when you least expect it. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between - so if you don't like one song no problem - try another, the chances are you'll love it. Don't worry about not understanding the language (they do throw in the occasional English word or phrase and they have 4 songs in English) - there are countless songs supposedly sung in English that I can't make out what is being said (or that I wish I didn't understand). If BABYMETAL want you to feel a certain way or an emotion they will do it. As Su-metal once said when she was first finding out about metal and how she should appreciate it "Don't think. Feel." If you can get tickets to see them in Paris next year do not hesitate - I have mine for London. I will suggest a couple of their early songs to get you started - 'Megitsune' (official MV and/or live at PIA Arena 2023) and 'Headbanger' live at Legend 1997 (Su-metal's 16th birthday concert in December 2013 - you can find a high quality video posted by abr metal).
The French BABYMETAL fanbase are pretty much like everywhere else in the world.. as soon as you get to the queue you suddenly have thousands of friends 🤘🦊 keep an eye out for any after parties too if you’re planning to go to the Paris gig! Welcome to the foxhole!
Great double reaction and welcome to BABYMETAL! As you know, they are performing at Zénith Paris - La Villette, Paris on May 28th, 2025. Well, I wouldn't say they are mainstream, just because metal isn't and even less a niche subgenre such kawaii metal which they invented. But they are moderately big globally. They were formed in 2010 (14 years ago) as a sub-unit of a larger j-pop idol group called Sakura Gakuin and split of SG in early 2013. They were 12 and 11 years old at the time. No, they don't make music for any anime (although they made the opening for the occidental cartoon "Unikitty!"). The lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto, was in a girl group formed to sing songs for an anime called "Zettai Karen Children" (Psychic Squad)... when she was 10 years old. BABYMETAL are: - Suzuka Nakamoto as SU-METAL (lead singer). - Moa Kikuchi as MOAMETAL (backing vocals and dance). - Momoko Okazaki as MOMOMETAL (backing vocals and dance). Official member since April 2023 after being one of their three backup dancers (Avengers) since 2019. Former member: - Yui Mizuno as YUIMETAL (backing vocals and dance). She left officially in 2018 after not performing since October 2017 due to health issues. With Suzuka and Moa she was one of the three OG members since their origins in 2010. They are backed by a group of session musicians (the best of the best) called Kami Band depicting the "gods" or "spirits" of each instrument. Initially, they wore traditional burial white robes and face paint. In 2018, they changed to darker robes and since 2019 they wear masks (as you see her in both videos). The name, BABYMETAL, was chosen for two main reasons: - To symbolize that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal). - Because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is very similar to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love puns): BABYMETAL = ベビメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru) heavy metal = ヘビメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru) Their live shows are considered their "core business" and they even called their studio albums "business cards". Some of their music videos are worth to watch like "Megitsune" or "Karate". They are very diverse musically since they don't hesitate on blending any music genre with metal and they are highly unpredictable. So always expect the unexpected. Enjoy our BABYMETAL journey! 😁 🤘🦊
Bienvenue Bonjour et Merci du Japon 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 69-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover). I witnessed Maya performance at the venue. All of BM concert are amazing and mesmerizing. Note: I love Band-Maid, too. I am going to see to B-M concert on Nov.26 wit my wife.
Anything and everything you want to know about BabyMetal is on its way. You're about to meet the biggest fanbase any group can have. Buckle up, you're in for a ride. Welcome to BabyMetal Leo. 🦊🤘
BABYMETAL is the most unique metal experience in the world right now coming from Japan 🇯🇵. Not only their appearances, their style, and everything that surrounds them visually and backing Babymetal for live shows are an incredible band "The Kami Band". They’re so passionate about metal but music in general they know everything about the metal music discography after watching Metallica perform on stage. Babymetal created a new sub genre of metal call "Kawaii Metal" or Cute Metal. Babymetal created a very special feeling, and experience within the entire metal community. They work extremely hard to create something unique for every community ranging from the young, teenagers, middle age to old school metalheads. Babymetal may not be on everyone's metier but if you don't like it's ok. Babymetal paves the way for other Japanese 🇯🇵 bands to be recognized worldwide. BABYMETAL original trio comprises of Suzuka Sakamoto aka Su-Metal, Moa Kikuchi aka Moametal and Yui Mizuno aka Yuimetal. Yui Mizuno left BABYMETAL in 2018 cited health issues", Momoko Okazaki aka Momometal officially became Babymetal third core member in April 2023. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
yes KitKat, it seems that Babymetal and EC are on the ballot paper where if the Grammy Gods (I don't know who votes on the ballots) see fit, they can nominate a band, song or performance. If I'm not mistaken the category that the ballot is for is Best Metal Performance. Hoiwever, I could be wrong about all that as well haha.
Nice reaction. Babymetal started young. Understatement. They started veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyy young. Su-metal the lead singer started her professional career around 8 in a group called Karen Girls. The did the songs for the anime Karen Girls. When that ended, she joined Sakura Gakuin an all girls JPOP group based on school life. Which had subgroups one of which was the heavy music club. This is where she met Yuimetal and Moametal. the other two original members of Babymetal. The heavy music club would become Babymetal. This was when Su was about 12 and Yui and Moa were around 10. Yui would officially leave Babymetal in 2018 but stopped performing with them in 2017 due to health reasons. After years of going as a duo Babymetal finally went back to a trio adding in Momoko a former backup dancer for them. Now known as Momometal. That is as brief as it gets when it comes to their history. Musically, you're in for a real treat. Kawaii Metal which started with them. Is Jpop vocals on top with a metal base and just about whatever genre they think of in-between. How they manage to make it work is a mystery until this day. IMO it's mostly Su's in measurable talent level with the numerous skills she has added along the way. And Moa just being Moa. Keep watching and you'll soon learn what that means. Enjoy the journey through the Foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.
I basically agree with everything you said. But had to mention we are now in the Momo era and it seems since her officially becoming a member Babymetal are performing with just an extra serving of joy and fun. Nobodies ever going to fill Yui's shoes but Momo has a pretty cool pair of shoes that are all her own. 😀🦊🦊🦊😀
@robote7679 I agree. Just didn't want to lay it all out after one reaction. Yui has her own special place in the hearts of Babymetal fans. Momoko didn't replace her and so IMO doesn't have to fill her shoes. They created a new spot along with a new Babymetal trio. And it seems they're having a great time at it too.
Welcome to the foxhole that is BabyMetal, the fanbase are called The One and fellow fans are called Kitsunes (Foxes in Japanese). Beware of Amuse (BabyMetal’s company) are notorious for music and video strike, so heads up. Fellow Kitsunes will clue you in on their history and music recommendations.
👍 👍 👍 So much joy, fun and energy. I love the way Su sings “brrrrrrrrring it”. Maya is a 🔥🔥🔥performance. Great reactions. Welcome to the foxhole. 🦊 🖖 ❤
Way back in 2012, they said their target was "WORLD DOMINATION" even when they were doing shows in Japan, and see them now. In 2023, they performed 97 live shows in 25 countries. They are wrapping up their South America Tour. Then Mexico, then US. They will be in my neighborhood (Washington, DC) later this month (Of course I'll be there).
Sucks, i wish metal bands went to Texas more often. I've never been to a metal concert, considering I only really listen to European metal, and now babymetal. Wish I could watch them live, one day
@@shortstuff780 They will be in Oklahama City Nov.29. Not sure where in Texas you reside, but if you can spare the time to travel, they are totally worth it!
Great reaction.and wecome to the fox hole. Yes, they are coming to Paris on May 28 at Zénith Paris, La Villette. You need to check out more of them like Monochrome at PIA arena, Yava,Karate etc
Benvenuta! Yes indeed, BABYMETAL have been bringing happiness to the world since 2010 and still going strong. If you have the chance, yeah definitely grab it and go to one of their shows. Their musical production is usually divided into light and darkness, based on the lyrics and music, going from very kawaii and poppy, to heavier, more serious ones, you got a taste of both 😅 MAYA is from their latest work The Other ONE, it's a concept album, not much kawaii here, pretty serious, it's the second one after the YUIMETAL's departure, with SU-METAL and MOAMETAL alone, the next one will feature them as a trio again, since Monoko finally earned her position as MOMOMETAL. It's a long story😅. BTW ToO is so unique album that they blackened their logo on the cover. 🤘🦊⚡️
Babymetal shows in Japan are next-level, I saw them last year in Milwaukee, WI USA it was a much smaller show, 3,000 or so people. They will be playing in Madison, Wi in a few weeks, great birthday present for myself. The rapper was F. Hero from Thailand, Babymetal did another song with him called "Leave it All Behind", it has an MV. Babymetal was my gateway to the whole Japanese female metal/rock invasion. I find it adorable that you and Su-metal (main vocals) have the same sounding accent when you speak English. 🤘
Nice reaction! Welcome to the Babymetal Foxhole. Regarding discovering them late: You're not alone! I am 59 years old, have always listened to Rock and partly to Metal and had no idea whatsoever of their existence until about two years ago when they had been around for almost ten years. Their choreographies are not only part of the performance, they also tend to transport meaning. Watching Pa Pa Ya, you might notice hand movements known from traditional Thai dancers. This is a hommage to their guest rapper F. hero, who not only is from Thailand but actually raps in Thai here. And the Papaya salad that gave the song its name is actually a Thai dish.
Others will have probably said it but the live performance videos are where Babymetal shine most - they have a few very good music videos but they have always been about the live shows (it took a while before any videos were produced after they started, and nearly 4 years for a studio album to be released). The upcoming European tour is the first time they are doing proper arena shows where hopefully the production will be closer to their bigger Japanese shows with the full light and staging experience.
Great reaction, thank you, subbed for more. Funny you mentioned the Grammy Awards: Babymetal x Electric Callboy RATATATA is a 'Grammy conderation' in the category Best Metal Performance. I have no idea if they have a change to be a real nominee (obviously I think they should win, but I'm bias 🙂 )
@@autohmae In the music industry getting a Grammy is rather like receiving an Oscar in the movies so it is a pretty big deal. In its 65 year history a Grammy has only been given to a metal artist 15 times. So this would definitely be some rarified territory for Electric Callboy and Babymetal.
@@robote7679 euh... you do understand this is the category: "best metal performance" ? Which has been category since 1990 and thus awarded an act 34 times so far, over 90% certain to be won by a metal artist. As mentioned, I think they don't even show the winner of this category on TV. I'm a fan of Babymetal and it's a great deal, but I'm saying: let's not get crazy, they aren't even a nominee yet, we just know they are on the consideration list, let alone a winner..
@@autohmae I'm prone to over excitement. That said I do feel it would be great for both bands. Keeping my fingers crossed and thanks for the background.
Awesome reaction. Welcome to the Foxhole. You can do two or three songs. Heads up though, be careful with Babymetal videos because of copyrights. You can pause every now and then and talk or put a watermark. Next Babymetal song recommendations: Headbanger - Live at Legend 1997 (2013) Karate - Live at Download 2016 Megitsune - Live at Tokyo Dome 2016 No Rain No Rainbow - Live at Baptism S (From the official Babymetal channel) Funny thing about Babymetal is that they are not yet featured in Anime. The best source for Babymetal videos is from the channel "For The Fox God" because it post actual live audio rather than live performance with studio audio. Plus, with the Kami Band (backing band) intros.
They are better LIVE suggest HQ Pro Shots over MV's Example: Monochrome LIVE at PIA ARENA 2023 from the For The Fox God channel with LIVE audio, actual Kami Band instrumentals and crowd response.
I'm Japanese. Thank for your great reaction. BABYMETAL's members are famous star (acting in TV. CM. etc) in Japan from when a child. The agency they work for is the largest listed entertainment company in Japan and has many stars. It is very difficult to get into this office, and female applicants need to be exceptionally beautiful, first of all. Many stars have been with the company since childhood and take various lessons from leading instructors, such as dancing, singing, acting, etc., and usually become an actress. And among them, a small number of people with high singing ability (like the lead vocal of BABYMETAL : Suzuka Nakamoto) becomes a musician. This is because it is extremely rare for a person to have both a beautiful appearance like an actress and a high singing ability. We can see many videos of her singing song since when elementary school on TH-cam. BABYMETAL was created to make use of her talent in 2010(When she was 13years old). Now she is often selected as one of the top rock singers in the world by famous music magazines in the United Kingdom and is called 'Queen' in the metal fandam. When Babymetal's songs are voted for popularity in Japan, 'Akatsuki' usually comes in first place. Now, let's embark on a journey to get to know BABYMETAL with us.😄
Salut ! Bienvenue chez Babymetal. I will continue in english because your community seems to be english only. Very good reaction and happy you appreciate thoses talented women. A few information dump: They never did any song for anime. The lead singer is Su-metal. She performs since she was 8 and she's a monster The girl mostly at her left (the smallest one xD) is Moa-Metal. She has a beautiful singing voirce too ( there is some songs where she takes the lead instead of Su for her birthday) Momo-Metal is the tallest of the 3. She's also very talented and can actually screams. She joins officially Babymetal last year but was dancing for them since 2020 if i remember correctly Yui-Metal was a former member a Babymetal, you may see her in Babymetal performances before 2018. I think's that's enough info for this time. You have already many recommandations so i wont add mine. If you want others japanes female metal grous i recommend you Hannabie and Lovebites Have fun
Live Babymetal is best Babymetal. and sometimes checking out different versions of the same song can be fun... for example, Headbanger (Legend 1997) [2013] - is the day after (i think) Su turned 16. Headbanger (Legend MM) [2024] - is the day Momo (the newest member) turned 21... and Momo can growl. If you are enjoying these more recent songs - don't miss out on Metali and Monochrome (both versions (there is a piano version, if you are into that sort of thing)). I hope you enjoy their other offerings as well...
Hahaha, IAMisLove spread the word, well done! 😄 You got a lot of information already, but believe us if we say that you haven´t seen anything yet 😉I have the feeling that you might love to react to - Da Da Dance (Legend MM 2024 Live) Eng Subs Buy a ticket ASAP 😉 I got mine for Hamburg already 😂Even if they don´t do a big arena show like they do in Japan (but maybe they do? They call this tour "Arena Tour"...🤔), you´ll love it for sure. They are awesome live! And in a smaller venue you might be able to watch them standing quite close to the stage. I had that pleasure last year in Cologne, it was absolutely amazing!
Saw them in Sept of 2023 and they blew the roof off with Maya!!! It's never too late to discover new things... I discovered them in 2020- as I sheltered in place from the plague. And I was completely hooked.. You will rarely see them do a bad performance. They are amazing ....
Hi from Ireland, great reaction choice from your requester. Road of resistance is what got me involved, I would suggest either live in Japan version when they were 16 and 17,absolutely epic, or the live at the pia arena version 2023 but also epic, if you are doing two then the 2nd has to be monochrome live at the pia arena, I could suggest loads lore but you will discover more from comments suggestions there are no bad ones. I liked and subscribed in the hope for more, and they do sing live, you will see all the comments advising you do their live performances 😊
Yeah Babymetal is a big Foxhole so prepare! If this is going to be one of your major gateway bands for metal on this channel, then prepare to be blown away by how many different bands exist out there in the metal scene. I see you have done reactions to Poppy and Bad Omens. Babymetal and Poppy are going on an arena tour throughout the EU & UK in 2025 and appear to be premiering a new collab song together for the event. I am putting my money on a Bad Omens collab eventually as well. For some recent songs of their’s: Their recent collab with Electric Callboy called Ratatata, is a must, this will take you down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole. Babymetal did another collab with F. Hero and another popular Tai artist called Bodyslam. It’s called Leave it All Behind. And for the last of their most recent material, Metali with Tom Morello of RATM. If you are going to see Babymetal live, you can guarantee this song will be on the set list. The song Maya is from the previous album cycle called The Other One which came out last year. Songs from this album share a very similar theme and serious tone. Monochrome is from this album as well and I recommend you check out a live performance of that song from their PIA arena show. Papaya is from their third album, Metal Galaxy, which came out in 2019, and songs on this album each experiment with a different genre of music in the globe. Want to watch some kickass breakdown rap? Check out BxMxC from KuroKiitsuneSama’s channel, it’s a live compilation video and is pretty good quality. For a different vibe to get an idea of how eclectic this album is, check out Night Night Burn, it’s pretty much salsa slam. This one doesn’t get recommended much but I think it would be fitting. If we want to go back to their roots. Check out Megitsune, Gimme Chocolate, Headbanger, Road of Resistance, and Karate. These are all songs they regularly perform even to this day so it would be good to get brushed up on their history here.
Great reactions! However - avoiding "official" videos may get you better stuff (unless ppl recommend it - there are some v.good ones) - "official" often means studio track over a live video, and misses out on the crowd participation (REALLY important often) , intros (some of the leadins are an experience in themselves - and definitely elevate the track) and many other things. More please - imo this is one of the best groups in the world (certainly on home ground) for l4 years now performance wise (they've been doing it since ages 11 and 12 roughly). More please - and get yr ticket before it's too late - you won't regret it, - I have mine :D
Welcome to The One and The Fox Hole beauty!! Great first react for the best band in the Galaxy. Simply Perfect! You need watch now Syncopation live or Headbanger live! See you Megitsune 🤟🦊🔥🔥🔥🇯🇵
@@Tyyppl Well, at least they would be a lot of fun. And I do not fully agree. The judges created the winners in two last years but in 2021 and 2022 the popular vote had it.
You should definitely watch the fancam of their concert in Paris at the Olympia, (make sure it's the video from Olivier Robelot Fancams) - it's a fantastic center stage view from the front row and super high quality, I watch it all the time. It will give you a great sense of what you're in for at a Babymetal concert👍 Also I find the fancams like that better than the official vids just because there's less cuts and you can really see the choreography going on.
If you liked Maya then I would recommend Kagerou, Karate, Syncopation, and Believing next. You can't go wrong with any of their stuff though! Just try to get live performances for your reactions because their live performances are better than the studio recordings 99% of the time.
If you decide to go to Paris, will see you there! They put on an amazing show, but don't expect this good of stage setup in Europe! They only do that in Japan usually!! IF you want new suggestions, you could also go with the official MV for "Gimme Chocolate" and "Megitsune", 2 older songs, and their most performed songs!
Yeah. If you're interested in kawaii metal as a genre, you *have* to look up the original Dokidoki Morning video. It's early, and they've developed a lot since then, but it's such a critical piece of the history of kawaii metal in general, and Babymetal in particular. Although, personally, I've always preferred their second song, iine.
The choreographies are not really meant to be followed by the crowd. They are created by one of the best choreographer in Japan. They illustrate the song. But also, part of the choreographies are meant to lead the crowd.
Thank you for the reaction ! In my opinion what's next is their best commercial collaborations, "RATATATA" (feat Electric Callboy) and "Leave It All Behind" (feat Bodyslam and F. Hero - Thai rock band and rapper)
Welcome to my favorite band. Ill request a new song each reaction. My first one would be... hmmm.. Metali! The official live. Not the music video. Thank you!
There are Babymetal songs with an english version as well as japanese: Elevator Girl, Believing, From Dusk Til Dawn, and The One. There are also songs that are in English and Japanese together, Divine Attack, Kagerou, and Mirror Mirror are a few. And there are subtitles on alot of their videos, as well. Have a great time reacting to, hopefully, all four albums-worth of songs, it would definitely be worth it. The live concert videos are always epic but the Official Music Videos are just as great. Karate, Distortion, Iine (iine), and Megitsune, are great OMV's.
That's good to know !! I still enjoyed them a lot despite understanding 0 lyrics lol, but I'm saving all this so I can make a future reactions where I understand the lyrics 😄 thank you!!!
Yes, Amuse is sometimes a bit aggressive, i would say especially if you use multiple songs in one reaction. Yes PaPa Ya is bit chaotic at furst, especially if you consider that it is in its core nothing more than the recipy for a spicy Papaya salad. In fact F. Hero served this salad one time to the girls. While they they were totally impressed that this legendary Rocker simply took a plane to visit them 2019 for the preiere. They were not used such a service at that time. They were the Underdog. Well they started in a way when they were 12 and Moa and Yui 10. But they were totally unable what would develop from it. They were only excited what Koba would do with them. He wanted to show them new kinds of Music. Suzuka simply knew that he would be important for her. In her estimation he more or less owned her. Well you have to understand at this time they already were stars. The have their Crawler. This mini Stage can drive with them through the Venue so that they can be nearer to their audience but the Stage is big enough for the Girls to dance. I have to admit that I don"t quite know how big Paris will be. They hide this Data quite hard. As an Example Paris will have only 4.800 guests, while Hamburg 16.000. For the Girls those wont be big. They had two nights in a row in the Tokyo Tower 55.000 capacity. But for Europe and their tight Schedule. Well this was their purpose. They were formed to bring female Fans into Metal concerts. One of their harder songs with an extremly simple Story but their Band and Moa and Momo had to work hard. And you show how and why their concept worked.
Hi, babymetal enciclopedia here. Just some info dor you if u didnt know :). So babymetal was formed in 2010 with the current 2 members Su-metal (the main singer) and Moametal (scream and dance), with a third member Yuimetal (scream and dance), that left due to personal reasons in 2018. They had a period of 5 years where they perfomed only in 2, but with 3 ''avengers'' that swapped from show to show named Kano, Rhino and Momoko. Now the third girl that you saw is Momometal (Momoko from the avengers ofc). Now if you wanna do more reactions as you said I SUPER suggest to react to live performances cause they are just special (there are also a lot of songs with various versions of the same song), as an old fan since 2016ish I really suggest to react to Monochorme (piano ver or no, both amazing), Karate, Headbanger (Moa 20th birthday version), Shine, Megitsune and The One. Hope you'll like what you see! Hope this helps a little bit and thank you for the good reactions :)
Can you also look into the hardest of the Japanese metal bands that is becoming popular abroad, namely NEMOPHILA? Since you like three songs in one go, I suggest the following: * Dissension * Life * Revive "Official live" versions of these three are the preferred versions. One of these is a ballad, to add some variation. But I'm not telling you which one.
If you been sleeping...check out XG - Woke up music video ( 5 months old, 50 million views, trended #1 when it first came out) XG - Winter without you first take version ( this will showcase their softer vocal side, where woke up is in your face!). XG is a 7 member all Japanese global girl group based in Korea but speak English, Korean, and Japanese. The songs suggested are all in English, their older stuff you see more of the tri/bi lingual music. Currently on first world tour 🌎 and theyre about to drop a new album, so its a good time to be introduced to them Oh ya and if you like dance, they dance too and have their own dance line of videos for your enjoyment. Be sure to check out Babymetal monochrome live if you haven't yet ❤️
Very nice reaction for your first BM. Try Road of Resistance live in Japan, karate Live legend MM 21 night and Monochrome from the PIA arena. There doing a UK/EU arena tour in May and tickets for the O2 arena in London have nearly sold out in a week, I'm going to that one and can't wait. A lot of the songs have fan chants and the such. They started in 2010 and recorded there 1st song when the lead singer Su-Metal was 12 and Moametal and Yuimetal were 11 and every song has full chorio. I love them and hope you continue deep into the Foxhole as they will bring you so much joy. I'll look forward to your opinions on NEK! as well, a new young band but they have a lot of potential, the bassest is very influenced by F. Chopper Koga from Gacharic Spin and the 1st song on her youtube channel was a cover of Gacharic Spins classic Lockon which is a very difficult bass line. Try Gacharic Spin, they are really good.
Only BABYMETAL can go so HARD about fruit. Or chocolate.
Or bubblegum 😄
Or chicken....After all Moa will not be denied!
Or mint flavoured time machines 😂❤
Or waking up late 🦊
Or elevator.
The story of babymetal is a fairytail.
welcome to the foxhole 😁 you only scratched the surface with BabyMetal and definitely get a ticket to see them. You will have so much fun seeing them the best live band , in my opinion . 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Their live performances are best. And yes, they do actually perform it live.
Great reactions! Looking forward to more. Babymetal are just the best. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
And if you have any questions about Babymetal, please feel free to ask.
Suggestions:
*Monochrome (Pia Arena MM):* The full version is amazing too!
*Headbanger (Legend 1997):* A taste of classic Babymetal. Dec 2013 show, lead Su-metal’s 16th birthday concert.

Mirror Mirror!
I've never seen someone get so much into their dance choreography but I loved it.
For more babymetal suggestions:
- Monochrome Live at PIA Arena 2023
- Road of Resistance Live in Japan 2015
Feel."
If you can get tickets to see them in Paris next year do not hesitate - I have mine for London.
Very nice reaction and very nice reaction ! Welcome to the foxhole, you'll never regret it !🦊
The French BABYMETAL fanbase are pretty much like everywhere else in the world.. as soon as you get to the queue you suddenly have thousands of friends 🤘🦊 keep an eye out for any after parties too if you’re planning to go to the Paris gig!
BABYMETAL are:
- Suzuka Nakamoto as SU-METAL (lead singer).
- Moa Kikuchi as MOAMETAL (backing vocals and dance).
- Momoko Okazaki as MOMOMETAL (backing vocals and dance). Official member since April 2023 after being one of their three backup dancers (Avengers) since 2019.
Former member:
- Yui Mizuno as YUIMETAL (backing vocals and dance).
The name, BABYMETAL, was chosen for two main reasons:
- To symbolize that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal).
- Because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is very similar to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love puns):
BABYMETAL = ベビメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru)
heavy metal = ヘビメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru)
Their live shows are considered their "core business" and they even called their studio albums "business cards". Some of their music videos are worth to watch like "Megitsune" or "Karate".
They are very diverse musically since they don't hesitate on blending any music genre with metal and they are highly unpredictable. So always expect the unexpected.
Enjoy our BABYMETAL journey! 😁
🤘🦊
Bienvenue Bonjour et Merci du Japon 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 69-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover). I witnessed Maya performance at the venue. All of BM concert are amazing and mesmerizing.
Note: I love Band-Maid, too. I am going to see to B-M concert on Nov.26 wit my wife.
Looking forward to watching more BABYMETAL reaction videos from you!
Anything and everything you want to know about BabyMetal is on its way.
You're about to meet the biggest fanbase any group can have.
Buckle up, you're in for a ride.
Welcome to BabyMetal Leo.

Welcome to the Foxhole!
I love watching first reactions to BabyMetal.
Babymetal always kills it, especially live ❤❤
they are touring europe with poppy next year! so excited
I think I'm gonna get a ticket 🙊 I already saw Poppy with Bad Omens and she was great !
@ yes!! they’re my 2 favorite artists so this is huge for me lol
Welcome to BABYMETL. Their latest song RATATATA could be nominated for a Grammy Award.
More BABYMETAL!
yes KitKat, it seems that Babymetal and EC are on the ballot paper where if the Grammy Gods (I don't know who votes on the ballots) see fit, they can nominate a band, song or performance. If I'm not mistaken the category that the ballot is for is Best Metal Performance. Hoiwever, I could be wrong about all that as well haha.
@@lencooke944 So there is such a category. Let's wait for the announcement on the 8th.😄
@@kitkat6407 Let's hope so, and that the ballot turns them into Grammy Nominees.

A little bit late because I was enjoying BM live show at South American Tour but welcome to the Foxhole, enjoy the ride.🦊🤘❤
They are in Paris next year in May (ah... You already checked 😁
@@stevechevy3382 Couldn't agree more!🤘🦊🦊🦊🤘
Welcome to the foxhole that is BabyMetal, the fanbase are called The One and fellow fans are called Kitsunes (Foxes in Japanese).
Welcome to the babymetal world! We love to spread the Babymetal way. We totally are not a cult...
World Domination? That's Band-Maid's goal as well! I don't know how long we'll last with both of them at the same time! D:
Their musical production is usually divided into light and darkness, based on the lyrics and music, going from very kawaii and poppy, to heavier, more serious ones, you got a taste of both 😅
MAYA is from their latest work The Other ONE, it's a concept album, not much kawaii here, pretty serious, it's the second one after the YUIMETAL's departure, with SU-METAL and MOAMETAL alone, the next one will feature them as a trio again, since Monoko finally earned her position as MOMOMETAL.
i will be seeing them in north carolina for two shows next week
Ahhh. The smell of first reaction to Babymetal 😂.
Welcome to the Fox Hole.
🦊🤘
Look at “Dusk til Dawn Babymetal” budokan 2021, Suzuka’s voice is unbelievable 🤘🏼
Was at Budokan, not PIA
My mistake, budokan
more BABYMETAL!
God would that be incredible if they won. What a well deserved coup for both Babymetal and Electric Callboy!
@@robote7679 As I understand it this is 1 of the smaller awards that isn't even mentioned on TV

If you like Maya you'll love Mirror Mirror. I also recommend Monochrome (Live at PIA Arena) :)
You wanna be in the crowd? They're doing a European arena tour next year. I dont know which location is closest to you, but they are doing Paris.
Awesome reaction. Welcome to the Foxhole. You can do two or three songs. Heads up though, be careful with Babymetal videos because of copyrights. You can pause every now and then and talk or put a watermark.
Next Babymetal song recommendations:
Headbanger - Live at Legend 1997 (2013)
Karate - Live at Download 2016
Megitsune - Live at Tokyo Dome 2016
No Rain No Rainbow - Live at Baptism S (From the official Babymetal channel)
Funny thing about Babymetal is that they are not yet featured in Anime.
The best source for Babymetal videos is from the channel "For The Fox God" because it post actual live audio rather than live performance with studio audio. Plus, with the Kami Band (backing band) intros.
Babymetal is super fun
Double reactions are great. More Babymetal
They are better LIVE suggest HQ Pro Shots over MV's
Example:
Monochrome LIVE at PIA ARENA 2023 from the For The Fox God channel with LIVE audio, actual Kami Band instrumentals and crowd response.
This was in Japan, 2019 they shipped the set to Los Angeles. They performed in the LA Forum, sold-out. They have performed in France.
Now, let's embark on a journey to get to know BABYMETAL with us.😄
Here for Babymetal! Will check out your other stuff!
Salut ! Bienvenue chez Babymetal.
I will continue in english because your community seems to be english only.
Very good reaction and happy you appreciate thoses talented women.
A few information dump:
They never did any song for anime.
The lead singer is Su-metal. She performs since she was 8 and she's a monster
The girl mostly at her left (the smallest one xD) is Moa-Metal. She has a beautiful singing voirce too ( there is some songs where she takes the lead instead of Su for her birthday)
Momo-Metal is the tallest of the 3. She's also very talented and can actually screams. She joins officially Babymetal last year but was dancing for them since 2020 if i remember correctly
Yui-Metal was a former member a Babymetal, you may see her in Babymetal performances before 2018.
I think's that's enough info for this time. You have already many recommandations so i wont add mine.
If you want others japanes female metal grous i recommend you Hannabie and Lovebites
Have fun

More babymetal Live please
would love to see your reaction to the live versions of kingslayer and ratatata, i think you would love them 😀
HAPPY LEO IS THE BEST LEO 👋
Live Babymetal is best Babymetal.
and sometimes checking out different versions of the same song can be fun... for example,
Headbanger (Legend 1997) [2013] - is the day after (i think) Su turned 16.
😄 You got a lot of information already, but believe us if we say that you haven´t seen anything yet 😉I have the feeling that you might love to react to
- Da Da Dance (Legend MM 2024 Live) Eng Subs
Buy a ticket ASAP 😉 I got mine for Hamburg already 😂Even if they don´t do a big arena show like they do in Japan (but maybe they do? They call this tour "Arena Tour"...🤔), you´ll love it for sure. They are awesome live! And in a smaller venue you might be able to watch them standing quite close to the stage. I had that pleasure last year in Cologne, it was absolutely amazing!
Thank You 🦊
.
Formed in 2010 babymetal turns 15 next year
ありがとう
Saw them in Sept of 2023 and they blew the roof off with Maya!!! It's never too late to discover new things... I discovered them in 2020- as I sheltered in place from the plague. And I was completely hooked.. You will rarely see them do a bad performance. They are amazing ....
Nice reaction! Looking forward to your next BABYMETAL reaction video!🦊🔥🎸💕
Road of resistance live in Japan or Ijime Dame Zettai at Sonisphere next!
For some recent songs of their’s:
Their recent collab with Electric Callboy called Ratatata, is a must, this will take you down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole.
Yeahhh ❤
Pls do more babymetal reactions
Japan should join the Eurovision song contest (as Australia did). They could have a winner with this band. The songs are absolutely Eurovision-style.
Nah. Eurovision is always about the politics nowadays. Ofcourse they could win the audience vote but the judges would fuck them over:D
@@Tyyppl Well, at least they would be a lot of fun. And I do not fully agree. The judges created the winners in two last years but in 2021 and 2022 the popular vote had it.
Japan is killing it in the rock and metal genre.
You should definitely watch the fancam of their concert in Paris at the Olympia, (make sure it's the video from Olivier Robelot Fancams) - it's a fantastic center stage view from the front row and super high quality, I watch it all the time. It will give you a great sense of what you're in for at a Babymetal concert👍
Also I find the fancams like that better than the official vids just because there's less cuts and you can really see the choreography going on.

But also, part of the choreographies are meant to lead the crowd.
essaye avec une version avec la traduction, tu comprendras mieux leurs univers....merci pour la réaction, bonne continuation à toi ;)
Thank you!
good reaction! :)
Thank you!!
Please react to more BABYMETAL songs , Every song is a lot DIFFERENT and UNIQUE, check all LIVE performance ONLY at JAPAN
A paris en mai 2025 !! Trop hate ! 🤘🤘
✨️❤🦊❤🦊❤🦊❤✨️
I see that you haven't reacted to Lovebites yet. You won't regret doing so :)
Yea they are definitely on my list 😍
More babymetal! I suggest rondo of nightmare live
Next react, their live version in your country (hellfest) 🔥🔥
Nice reaction! Welcome to Fox Hole. You'll definitely like the other BABYMETAL songs. They were the reason I created my channel.
メッチャ可愛い〜デスッ🤘🤘🤘🦊
New reactors to Babymetal "im ready"
NO YOUR NOT 😂
Can you also look into the hardest of the Japanese metal bands that is becoming popular abroad, namely NEMOPHILA?
Since you like three songs in one go, I suggest the following:
* Dissension
* Life
* Revive
"Official live" versions of these three are the preferred versions.
One of these is a ballad, to add some variation. But I'm not telling you which one.
If you been sleeping...check out
XG - Woke up music video ( 5 months old, 50 million views, trended #1 when it first came out)
XG - Winter without you first take version ( this will showcase their softer vocal side, where woke up is in your face!).
XG is a 7 member all Japanese global girl group based in Korea but speak English, Korean, and Japanese. The songs suggested are all in English, their older stuff you see more of the tri/bi lingual music. Currently on first world tour 🌎 and theyre about to drop a new album, so its a good time to be introduced to them
Oh ya and if you like dance, they dance too and have their own dance line of videos for your enjoyment.
Be sure to check out Babymetal monochrome live if you haven't yet ❤️
Great first reaction and Welcome to the Fox Hole
Try Gacharic Spin, they are really good.
you might want to see "Road to Resistance" "The One" or even "Rondo of Nightmare" everyone has a solo
👊🏽⚡️🤘🏾🦊
Welcome, the Fox God welcome everyone 🤘🦊🤘
