    I'm glad to see old school, an old school is that held on to their CJ's how cool is that. I was 22 I sold my 69 Z28 to buy a CJ5. That was the best decision I made in my life. I've had my Jeep for 38 years. I've kept her up for all these years. I can't tell you the good times in the memories that I have in that jeep. Even though I have people ask me to sell my Jeep all the time there's just no way I can depart with her it's like somebody else said CJ's been around longer than anybody friend I'll always have. I'm glad the younger generation appreciates the CJ's cuz they're bad to the bone. When I take her to tell everybody stares at the Jeep most of the time, it starts a conversation right away. I love you CJ7 keep up the good work bro. I must pass our knowledge down to the younger generation.

      tc’s adventures
      The previous owner(s) replaced quite a bit of the original Jeep, including the engine and the tub. Transmission was shot. About the only thing left original is the frame, front fenders, front grill, and dashboard. Even the seats are mismatched. But, I'm going to try to re-create as much of the CJ7 "look and feel" as possible. I'm glad you mentioned the brake booster. Mine has manual brakes and when you want to stop you have to work at it, if you know what I mean. So, a booster is in its future.

    • @tcsadventures
      @tcsadventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a tough question to answer. If you’ve been looking for awhile I’m sure you’ve seen Jeeps of that age from a few thousand dollars to 40k+ - depending on the condition. My big concern would be the rust. If you’ve already seen some rust on the frame I would want to completely inspect the tub to see the full extent of it. If it’s had body work - use a magnet to see how much Bondo it has in it. My first vehicle was a 73 Chevy 3/4 ton 4 x 4 that turned out to be a Bondo Baby - full of Bondo from rust and a roll (I was 16; you live and learn lol). 140k miles isn’t bad if it was cared for. I have found the engine to be strong and reliable. If it were me I would see if the owner would let me take it to a good Jeep shop to have it inspected, so I would have a better idea of what I’m getting in to. For that price you just have to realize you’re in for a lot of DIY work or paying someone else to do it. It’s going to be a project. The good news is CJ-7s are very popular and restored CJs have seen a good appreciation at auction in the last several years. Good luck!

    Those springs are way too stiff you have no flex at all. Watch how your wheels come off the ground. Your differentials don't follow the terrain at all. No travel.

    Well preserved. Would LOVE to have it MY garage!! Let me know when you're ready to put her up for adoption.

      LOL! I got an email from another viewer who wants to be 1st on the list if I sell it. Don’t think I can depart with it ... we’ve come too far together now! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
