    Brilliant video! Looking to get an overland setup myself. Would you mind sharing personal recommendations on a vehicle brand/model?

    Visited the same spot and camped near there with Richard in early May (Landie Road Trip!) - beautiful area and fantastic local residents - thanks for letting us visit - can't wait to go back

    Well Chap, hope all is well! Do you think the beach in the first part of the video is accessible by a standard 2008 Rav4?

    Great video guys, your trip trip looked first class! I'm interested in camping there although I don't have the luxury of a 4x4 to travel further on the beach. Is it okay to camp walking distance from a parking spot, say 2/3 km's and would that be near water? Thanks

    • @DonegalOverlanding
      @DonegalOverlanding  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that would be no problem at all. Its not as far as it might seem in the video. From the public car park at Magheroarty pier, its 3.1km to where we are camped here. So get out there and enjoy it!

    Ello all! Bloody great camp spot. What's the name of the awning? We have the 270 degree awning but it looks like that one goes much further. Ive been having a few ' hot toddys' since you told me what they were and love em. Cheers guys Josh

    • @DonegalOverlanding
      @DonegalOverlanding  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe we have started a trend, hot toddys all round! The awning is the Bundutec Bunduawn. They call it the 360 degree which it is technically 360 degrees, but obviously doesnt come right around the vehicle. Really great for when it rains though, or in your case for shade. Bundutec sell in Australia too. No idea of the price there though.

      Donegal Overlanding hahaha yeah...I'll kick off the toddy revolution here in Aus hey? Hehehe. Definitely going to look into that awning as just looks way better than the 270 imwas goin'to get. Thanks again for such a brilliant video and drone footage. It's the best!

    Big fan of the wild camping, but I try to enjoy the more sustainable low key variety, always trying to be sensitive to the locals in the area. I fear videos like this will result in the local council banging up a "No wild Camping" sign which would end up ruining it for everyone.

    • @DonegalOverlanding
      @DonegalOverlanding  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could not disagree with you more. Whatever style of activity you enjoy has no bearing on what we enjoy. There are videos all over the internet. Its a digital age, every "secret" spot can be found and discovered without any prior information simply by looking at google maps. That is how we found every single place we travel to in Ireland. The council already have a sign in this location stating no camping. Its been there for years as the grass area is vulnerable to erosion. However we camped on the beach which has no restrictions. What do you mean by being sensitive to the locals? We actually have permission to camp here because we helped some locals find lost sheep using our drone.

    2:34 Spooning the cooking fat from meatballs into the sand? That's not exactly respecting the natural environment is it? Doesn't matter that the tide will take it away. No excuse. Disappointing.

    • @DonegalOverlanding
      @DonegalOverlanding  ปีที่แล้ว

      We dont care about your stupid comment. Go get your snowflake tainted little hanky and dry your princess eyes with it. We have zero tolerance of keyboard warrior virtue signalling clowns. Oh and just FYI, the tide will not take it away, the tide never ever gets anywhere near where that fat will lay, bringing an end to civilization as we know it.
