My staff broke today and I had to use the flag and I'll tell you what, people do not understand what the stop signal is. To be safe with this idiot traffic always use your hand with the flag. Also while using the flag one of my traffic said he was retired dot and that my flag was not proper and I need to have a staff with the sign. Is this true? If so why does the flag even exist?
this is literally all the training my company gave me before basically spouting off bullshit about paying attention for the next 4.2 hours. they hardly taught us anything and basically said don't be without your sign and helmet and avoid a accident and you won't be fired. its not worth the $13/hr.

I took and passed the Fdot class on traffic control several months ago, but this is still very interesting to me.

your flagger your were training wasn't wearing his work boots on and the spacing from your w3-4 to your flagger is not correct.

TheKsourmoon it's very simple being a flyer and very dangerous but it's all about hand signal to make sure you and your crew is safe
