    You should paint with lighter coats, but more of them. That's why your panel lines have not filled in with body colour. Use a panel liner, black or gray, to accent the panel lines and the wheel detail.
    Also, beware of Dullcote. It is a lacquer not an enamel or acrylic, and in certain conditions it will literally eat the paint away under it.
    These are working race cars so the less the fancy chrome parts, the better.

    Randy: Thank you for the tips. My first stock car and used craft paint. I learn the more I paint with this paint as there are no fumes. I sprayed dullcote for the chassis in summer and Pledge in the winter. It gets too cold to spray lacquer outside. I miss dullcote in the winter.
