    I guess this explains why my mind is so empty until a thought appears. Perhaps the attachment to the rising thought is creating the appearance of a tangible mind/world?

    I would say mind and consciousness are synonymous. Or you could call it Soul, Spirit, God...there is no physical reality. Everything is manifested spirit. No-thing is unmanifest spirit (or mind, or consciousness, or God, or Soul...)
