I love your enthusiasm. When I'm working on a piece I keep telling myself to not give up on it. Someone once said that there is always a point when you might say "yuck". But I work through it until I'm happy. Thanks for the inspiration and enjoyment.

Wonderful ideas on using the supplies you have or to use other supplies that will not break the bank. Love your positive personality and your beautiful artwork. 😊

What a great video and so excited to connect with a local-ish artist! I have family in Calgary. 🙂 I have these crayola watercolors (for the kids and myself) and we really enjoy them! That blue is fantastic!

So inspiring! I have a paper cutter and a corner rounder so I am set to make my own miniature cards from watercolour paper. I have made a list of ideas for what to do with them and love the idea of blessing others with mini creations in a tin. 💗 Thank you Allison for sharing your creativity. P.s. I have "smooshed" with ink when making cards before but it had not occurred to me to do that with watercolour paint. A great way to use up paint left on the palette and I love the effect!

Hey Allison I love how you have been posting regularly. I really want to get back into my art practice but once school started it kind of fell off. I do like to play your videos for my older students while they create it keeps them focused. I have time for it but I just have to make the time if I want to get better. It’s one of my goals for this year so I’m going to rewatch your videos which inspired me so much over the summer!

thanks for your continuous encouragement . really appreciate you and hope you can carve out more time for yourself and creating. It’s not easy some days - but remember that just 15 mins of play adds up!

Great tips. I also like to use sometimes very cheap water color paint. Some of them are between water color and gouache with very odd pigments. You said you would speak about what you do with borders but I guess I will find the answer in an other video. Your passion is incredible!!! Merci 😀

layers is coming to be my eye opener...revisiting sketchbooks per yr editing & mark making additions is so fun now, and mixing media supplies is definitely my version of 'cooking ingredients' ...stay joyous. Ty.

Have got a pile of old business cards on nice card. I am going to round the corners and have a go. I may also cover the cards in some watercolour ground

You were talking about affordable watercolor paper. You can get a 20 page watercolor paper 8 x 10 inch that is 300 gsm or 140 lb for $3.25 at Dollarama. I really enjoy them.

Hi. Can you please tell me what those little plastic magnetic sleeves are called and where I can get them? Thank you.

      Hi Jackie,
I quickly watched the video to see which ones you were referring to. Hoping we are talking about the same ones. I got them at Michael’s in Canada and they come in several different sizes and have a strong magnet on the back. Studio decor magnetic frames , 3.5x5inches, is a descriptor you can try to search.
